Hello, the Nintendo has anything to worry about regardless. Nintendo news that their next system will be the same type of thing that we have been used to. All Nintendo needs to do, is show up in January with a deep dive presentation; showing off the features of the system the OS, the MSRP, the release date, and demonstrate how better backwards compatibility, and the new games will look. That is basically all that they have to do.

I just love that Nintendo isn't pressured to confirm/deny these leaks. It's like they feel or know these leaks wouldn't affect their switch 2 sales, so they are just sticking to their schedule. Personally, even if most of the leaks were true, knowing information about it wouldn't really decrease my desire in owning one.

Same because I already own three handheld PCs so I doubt the switch would even be stronger than those but I just want a more powerful Switch. The Switch is what made me fall in love with this form factor to begin with, I stopped buying 3rd party software for the Nintendo Switch due to the games being full price but running way worse than every other versions.

The secretive behaviour prior to the release of TOTK and the delay in getting concrete information (literally the last trailer had anything noteworthy and it was released like a month or so before it released!) is why TOTK quickly fell flat for me. Hype doesn't just keep rising, eventually it tapers and falls off and then most people get distracted by other things
I still have family members that plan on buying their kids OG switch consoles this holiday. That’s why they’re being silent about the switch 2 release event. Slow the hype train down just a tad.
I’ve been saying it won’t get announced until February for months now. Nobody believed me but seems like I was onto something. Of course they’re going to wait till after the holidays to end, despite fans eagerly waiting for the announcement of their follow up platform. The Switch is the third best selling gaming platform of all time. You have to be nuts to think they aren’t making money off of the casual crowd during the holiday season. Most of them aren’t in the loop knowing the next device is right around the corner. And that casual audience their biggest market. Yes, us mega fans are all saving up for the inevitable Switch 2, but we aren’t their biggest demographic. Its in their best interest to make those extra millions of dollars before announcing to the world something new is coming. If they did it now or sooner they would have cannibalized their holiday sales.

The majority of people that game don't follow gaming news, or care about when the next thing comes out. They just see a few games and buy the platform that supports it. Us hardcore gamers have and always will be the minority. Nothing wrong with that, but I bet if you asked random people on the street of New York if they know about the Switch 2, less than 20 of them are likely to know what you're talking about.
I totally get that. For me the only reason I’d want it to be bigger is for the controllers to be bigger and more comfortable for me to hold. However since I don’t play probably much I don’t really care that much. I’m a tv player.
I’m guessing the “C” button is the “ controller” button… you need to press that button before you push the button on the back of the joy con to detach it
There were rumors about a double secret for the switch so maybe the C button could connect to the tv and the game pad could be a second screen if that makes sense

Off topic, but I think it's quite interesting. The recently shown 'Shadow labyrinth' trailer at the game awards was precursor-ed by episode 6 of the new show 'secret level' on Amazon prime by 3 days. Technically, the game was shown off in an official capacity before the trailer of the game had dropped. Matching art styles and all. It's gotta be a first!
The last time Nintendo delayed a console was N64 from 1995 to 1996 for the reason that Mario 64 needed more development time. I feel the situation is similar to that, software wasn't up to their standards for releasing the console. If Nintendo can delay major games or outright restart development they can do that for an OS or launch title if it isn't meeting their expectations and if it is crucial for launching a new console. I am sure they want another BoTW tier launch title.

It will look almost identical to the current Switch...only slightly bigger and with the new changes on the surface. However, it is what is under the hood that is the big secret and even then we kinda of already know. We have known for years that if Nintendo made a next gen Switch; it would in theory be about 1 gen behind what ever is current. So as the Switch 1 was as powerful or abit more powerful to a PS3/Xbox 360; IT IS ONLY NATURAL that the next gen Switch 2 would be one par with a PS4 or PS4 Pro; which is now more than likely, thanks to DLSS. We also know for sure; what we all already assummed, is that backwards compatiblity is a go. The only secret is th battery life; which I assume will be one par with a launch or v2 Switch and see a good upgrade 4 years into it's life; just like the Switch 1. It will follow the exact same trajectory pattern of the current Switch, including giving us a LITE and an OLED Model down the line. The only other secret; would also be the gimmick (which will probably be nice and not be too goofy; maybe even practical). The only other big wow; left is how much of an improvement to the current Switch 1 games; will havbe via backwards compatiblity and how good a next gen Switch 2 game will look compared to a base PS5 (which may be alot closer than you think; as we hit a graphics ceiling and the leap in between a Ps4 Pro to PS5 is not that huge and even less between a PS5 to a PS5 Pro. In short; Nintendo is doing just fine and we just got to relax and enjoy what is probably the last company to not go all Streaming and Subcription yet.

TBH, I don't blame Nintendo, We're use to 4 to 6 year between new consoles, We waited 6 years between NES though SNES, 5 years between SNES though N64, another 5 year between N64 though Gamecube, yet another 5 year between Gamecube and Wii, 6 years between Wii and Wii U and 4 years between Wii U and Nintendo Switch. The latest time for this stupid thing to announce will be 2026 when the Super Mario Bros. movie 2 released and Nintendo is going to want to launch it with a new 3D Super Mario game around that time to get record breaking sales, 2025 will be where We get a codename drop ether after the shareholders meeting or after Super Nintendo World's grand opening in Orlando. I still think the Switch still has steam and is set to outsell the PS2 and We may see the next Mario Kart, Dr. Mario and Mario Baseball get announced, Star Fox Zero + Guard, Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World and Zelda Wind Waker HD and Zelda Twilight Princess HD get ported to the Switch and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legend Z-A still coming out. After the Codename Drop I.E Project Atlantic that's when We know it's coming 100%, other than that I stopped believing in all these leaks and rumors after We fell for the Grinch Leak back in 2018 and after that, We should stop trusting leaks and rumors from 4chan and reddit.

Not necessarily. You need to know when to move on from past success. If your price it right, there will.alwwys be a market for switch and a market for switch 2, especially with backward compatibility. Waiting almost a decade for a new mario kart just because the current is selling so well has left a chasm for good uptodate and new kart games... People are only willing to play old games for so long, even if it's a brilliant game... We the consumer should be demanding new games not acting like a wing of Nintendo's business
@ but your logic contradicts itself: you say that other games/consoles have intruded into the market, become more relevant and therefore they are the ones that sell. That right there proves my point that Nintendo wouldn’t be selling their product successfully anymore. That would be the signal for them to release a new hardware/software. It’s basic market analysis. Sure, at some point Nintendo should absolutely evolve and challenge themselves, but they shouldn’t release things simply because you want them to. They need to do it based on market viability of both old and new hardware/software when balanced with cost. We know that games are costing more to produce every year, and that includes consoles as well. That’s why I think Nintendo has the more sustainable model when compared to Sony or Microsoft. Nintendo continually reinvents our interaction with games and keeps development costs lower than other publishers by making the emphasis on that interaction instead of the resolution. By extending the lifecycle of the Switch as much as possible they were able to offset a significant amount of development costs for both the Switch and the old WiiU that failed miserably.
Everything needs to be compatible with current joy-con, this means every single rumour has already been confirmed to be fake by Nintendo directly when they said the next console can play Switch games. Rails need to work with current joy-con. If they do a new joy-con, it would still have the ir motion camera. Dimensions of if they do a hybrid console, then they need be in line with the height of the current joy-con.
@@kj_H65f How you going to sync to the console and charge them? If you are going to have rails at all then the rails will function on both new and old joy-con the same. If you are only going to have one rail then it functions with the old joy-cons. Two rails is a waste of money and is not practical.
What really fascinates me is the absolute lack of creativity that people come up with. There seems to be nobody that even considers the option that the next console is something completely different. Every leak is just a beefed up future Switch with better specs etc. That's so uncreative. Nintendo might do something completely new and yet nobody seems to consider that an option.

Switch is still in production. XBOX ONE is discontinued and PS4 is discontinued I except ps4 slim. Switch still has a lot a life left.

TBH, I don't blame Nintendo, We're use to 4 to 6 year between new consoles, We waited 6 years between NES though SNES, 5 years between SNES though N64, another 5 year between N64 though Gamecube, yet another 5 year between Gamecube and Wii, 6 years between Wii and Wii U and 4 years between Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
The latest time for this stupid thing to announce will be 2026 when the Super Mario Bros. movie 2 released and Nintendo is going to want to launch it with a new 3D Super Mario game around that time to get record breaking sales, 2025 will be where We get a codename drop ether after the shareholders meeting or after Super Nintendo World's grand opening in Orlando.
I still think the Switch still has steam and is set to outsell the PS2 and We may see the next Mario Kart, Dr. Mario and Mario Baseball get announced, Star Fox Zero + Guard, Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World and Zelda Wind Waker HD and Zelda Twilight Princess HD get ported to the Switch and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legend Z-A still coming out.
After the Codename Drop I.E Project Atlantic that's when We know it's coming 100%, other than that I stopped believing in all these leaks and rumors after We fell for the Grinch Leak back in 2018 and after that, We should stop trusting leaks and rumors from 4chan and reddit.
Also anyone saying it wouldnt effect sales is just wrong lol ppl like me who wanted to get another switch, would wait for the new one, ESPECIALLY knowing its backwards compat. And Nintendo cares abojt its investors, not us. An a sales decline doesnt look good

Ive worked for supplier companies in the automotive and aerospace industries and you do not get a full blast 3d model of the entire assembly, you'd either get the surfaces of the the related area your product would be related to. Hence...... if these shells, are indeed legit, they would have a full blown 3d model of the outside of the system. They used this solid model to create the dies related to their manufacturing process. So again, elaborate hoax or its legit.

No, this is not “what Nintendo gets” for releasing their console on their timeline. People that think that way are simply weak and entitled children. Of course they rode that Switch wave until it died away, they’d be irresponsible not to! Anyone with a modicum of business sense knows that. Nintendo doesn’t have to release a damn thing simply because we want them to. They could decide tomorrow to exit the video game industry all together because they decided that making silly clapping hats would be more lucrative. So people clamoring for “Nintendo to get what they deserve” need to check their petulance at the door.
Not necessarily. You need to know when to move on from past success. If your price it right, there will.alwwys be a market for switch and a market for switch 2, especially with backward compatibility. Waiting almost a decade for a new mario kart just because the current is selling so well has left a chasm for good uptodate and new kart games... People are only willing to play old games for so long, even if it's a brilliant game... We the consumer should be demanding new games not acting like a wing of Nintendo's business
@ but your logic contradicts itself: you say that other games/consoles have intruded into the market, become more relevant and therefore they are the ones that sell. That right there proves my point that Nintendo wouldn’t be selling their product successfully anymore. That would be the signal for them to release a new hardware/software. It’s basic market analysis. Sure, at some point Nintendo should absolutely evolve and challenge themselves, but they shouldn’t release things simply because you want them to. They need to do it based on market viability of both old and new hardware/software when balanced with cost.
We know that games are costing more to produce every year, and that includes consoles as well. That’s why I think Nintendo has the more sustainable model when compared to Sony or Microsoft. Nintendo continually reinvents our interaction with games and keeps development costs lower than other publishers by making the emphasis on that interaction instead of the resolution. By extending the lifecycle of the Switch as much as possible they were able to offset a significant amount of development costs for both the Switch and the old WiiU that failed miserably.

Everything needs to be compatible with current joy-con, this means every single rumour has already been confirmed to be fake by Nintendo directly when they said the next console can play Switch games.
Rails need to work with current joy-con.
If they do a new joy-con, it would still have the ir motion camera.
Dimensions of if they do a hybrid console, then they need be in line with the height of the current joy-con.
I don't know why having the software be compatible means the hardware has to be identical. How did they get GameCube games to play on the Wii?
Maybe its not mechanically capable of docking Joycons but its able to wireless connect. I think there are plenty of solutions.

@@kj_H65f How you going to sync to the console and charge them? If you are going to have rails at all then the rails will function on both new and old joy-con the same.
If you are only going to have one rail then it functions with the old joy-cons.
Two rails is a waste of money and is not practical.
What really fascinates me is the absolute lack of creativity that people come up with. There seems to be nobody that even considers the option that the next console is something completely different. Every leak is just a beefed up future Switch with better specs etc. That's so uncreative. Nintendo might do something completely new and yet nobody seems to consider that an option.
