Man, I only discovered Fair to Midland like 4 or 5 months ago... to have been there at that show in person, nearly 15 years ago... man I can't even imagine how awesome that would have been
lol are you kidding? He has 3 at most, and I don't say that trying to diminish his talent because Darroh is a sick singer, but nearly no one has a 6 octave range (from the top of my mind, only Mike Patton has documented six octaves). Check The Range Plance, you'll see how most people have 3-4 octaves.
@@deadmanwithpitchforkarms8376 you might be surprised with this guy, not sure ifh e's at 6 octaves i'd doubt it but that subharmonic false chord resonating mongolian throat singing he does allows a full octave lower than chest voice. just in this video he hit a b2 with it...so in this video alone he used over 3 octaves and 1 full step. you have to assume he then has a pretty strong head voice on top of that...i've heard him mix up to about a d5...so he could probably easily head voice/falsetto up to around an a5 b5. so i think he easily has 4. if he can access his whistle register then he might have more.
@@disturbed4everluke I know Dimash (Even though as far as I know he only goes up to D8). As far as Darroh's range goes, he has gone down C2 in the subharmonic/throat singing thingy and I've heard him sing up to F5 (maybe up to F#5 but I wasn't sure if that was his voice or a synth). Of course he might be able to reach higher or lower notes he didn't include on any of his recording, but as far as the range he demonstrated on studio and live, he has C2-F5 (which is ~3,5 octaves). I made his profile on The Range Place forum if you're interested seeing my research. I also plan to make a vocal range video for him, even though it's not something I promise to happen soon
saw them last december now i'm gonna see 'em again on june 28th and i cant wait. when i saw 'em before it was the best concert i've ever been to, especially the spaz dancing and hanging on the ceiling. i'm so psyched to see 'em again.
Oh man I am a new convert, but I can't say enough cool about these guys. . .SUPPORT these guys, buy a shirt from them or something. . .GO SEE them if they come near you. (Lord knows they don't see a dime from CD sales)
normally I'd just tell you to figure it out yourself, but im proving a point. I think that the song is about corrupt capitalism and capitalistic practices. I dont have the room to go line by line, but when he says Mary's (Mary Magdalene), i think he is referring to whores as the figure-heads of the capitalistic system, and during the bridge he is referring to how all large corporations fall, (eg: Enron). But seriously, if you don't think it means that, that's fine too. Interpret for yourself.
im not sure some songs have any meaning. Darroh says he has an expressions dictionary which he just use to write songs, plus if you look for old songs like Orphan Anthem 86', you can see all the lines are in different order and stuff, Im pretty sure some lines means nothing.
ok two things...1, they're not stoned....and 2, they lyrics DO in-fact make sense....maybe you should try a little something called "thinking", then you might just understand them a little better...
yeah & no offense but it is kinda lame..as much as I like the band & all he does it to roll his voice so technically it is NOT all him singing but his hand helping
Freddie Mercury is way better than this guy, in fact he was one of the greatest singers ever. not to say this guy is a bad singer but he will never be the singer Freddie Mercury was.
Here's the Reality - I don't care who you are, that was an Excellent performance

I always saw them at The Machine Shop in Flint. Very low ceiling, Darroh always climbed up into the rafters and sang upside down hanging by his knees
Saw him do that at Emos Austin.
This band should be more recognized!!
Honestly, if you haven't seen these guys live, you're missing out on a truly unforgettable experience.

I just discovered them yesterday and my life has changed, how can a band so magnificent just disappear? Damn.
I love throat singing.
difference between a poet and a mystic, assigning meaning to things fleeting as opposed to fleeting things assigning meaning
The drummer... F**k yeah!
hell yeah!
i love how he walks like hes drunk,... in every show lol
he IS drunk lol
The beat lead singer no one has heard of

6:15 when i show people i know karate
he was extremely sick during this show, too! If you listen to the beginning, you can hear him struggling to talk.
they are simply amazing.
could i get a clip of that beginning perhaps? i think it would be awesome to play before it on my ipod...
Yeah they do get really active on stage but when they both fell in this video i'm pretty sure they are drunk and/or stoned.
damn.. those guitarists know how to rock out. We could all take a lesson from them.
inhuman vocal range. this band kicks aaaaaass
I see the keyboardist has gone for the Sherinian angled keyboard approach...
hahaha dreamtheater nice
wow your so smart
@AntikorperIX ... lol true i didnt think of that xD
does anyone have the footage from when they performed this on conan?
Wait what?!

TheLazynutcracker tell them off with oval arms and hopscotch eyelids
wtf?
man they lyrics have sense
I wish stage lighting techs would stop the seizure lights and let me watch the band. It's distracting as f.
the singer turns into the devil. me likey
