To address some of your issues - For the dock, the dots under each application are to indicate which apps are open/active. In some apps, hitting the red x to close it, is comparable to just swiping up to close an app on an iphone. Some apps will stay open and work in the background. I like to be in the habit of fully closing apps I'm not using, and so right click the app in the dock, and select "quit" (from any window). You can also cmd+Q to fully close the application you are currently on - doing either of these is the equivalent of 'swiping up' on an iphone to completely close an app. If you have multiple windows open of the same app, you can right click that app in the dock to see/click on the individual windows. Though I just 4 finger swipe up to see all my windows that are open and click on the one I want (alternatively you can press f3) My workflow for the dock is to keep only daily use apps down there as shortcuts, and enable the setting to automatically hide and show the dock so it's out of the way. Some magnification is nice too. All found in the dock settings. I usually use the extra 'desktops' exclusively to maximize applications, so except for my first one (which is used as a normal desktop), each virtual desktop is a single full screen application that I can easily swipe between. That way I only have one (my first) that I am truly using as a multi-window desktop, and only have the dock in that one. Not being able to see transfer speeds is something I'm used too as I've really only ever used mac, but is definitely a valid complaint. It seems like such an easy thing to include, yet they don't. Moved from windows to Mac 20 years ago. Last month I installed windows on my Mac on parallel to use Power Query on excel and boy, I hated windows. Windows feels like I accidentally installed malware . I see advertisements everywhere on the start button.
I’m a UX UI Designer and looking to upgrade my Alienware (sounds like an helicopter) and get a M2 Max (or M3 Max in Jan), but not sure if it’s worth, I’m going to update my setup as well as my desk is a mess of cables, cams, and speaker. Planning to get a max with Apple studio which has all in and make a clean desk. But I also slightly game on my laptop, specially strategic games, and worried I can’t do it anymore on Mac. Would you advice someone to switch? I mainly use my laptop on my desk as a desktop, but 3/4 times a year I go abroad for even a few months, so I need the portability
In my workflow the MacBook work. I commute from home, work and my office, needed something portable. I used to game on my windows but now that I have a MacBook strictly on the PS5. If gaming is big deal for you, maybe windows a should. It all depends on your use case, just weigh out what’s important for you.

Of course there's frustrations, almost threw the whole laptop. But with my use case so much more efficient on Mac. I do have 2 other windows just in case, atm Mac is my main PC
um, you barely learned anything about MacOS in 3 months... Like Finder right clicking the icon on the dock brings up the menu with all the open finder windows. The little dots under icons on the dock mean the program is still running, clicking the red circle only closes the current window. CMD+Q or right clicking the dock icon and selecting quit is how to closes programs on Mac... I knew all this 3 days after getting my macbook pro (the last 16" Intel base model), After using windows for soon long. I still don't know everything, but you should know way more then this, after 3 months.
Even though you can on Mac, I don't advise it. I understand that software can be expensive, but it's essential to support developers and respect intellectual property rights. Instead, consider exploring legal alternatives like open-source software, freeware, trials, or student discounts.
Look, a lot of these complaints really feel silly. Why does it matter if you can see the speeds? All that matters is how long the transfer takes. Who has time to sit there and unironically think “omg I’m only transferring at 5Gb/s”. You start the transfer, move onto something else and when it says you’re done, you pick up where you left off. I do the same thing on windows. The transfer speed number itself is absolutely useless. Just tell me how long the transfer will take
matter of opinion, many persons like myself like to know how fast a transfer is. It can help you to determine if there are any issues with your connectivity or end device...
I bet your current Windows Laptop will crash more, have more viruses and unwanted pop ups and probably not save your media correctly like a $3000 one will.

Switched from Windows to MacOS since 2012 and at the moment have installed Window 11 on my Mac just to run some Windows Program. Window 11 Run Flawlessly inside the MacOS. I don’t think you could say the same thing with Windows. I am never going back to Windows unless for some work related Windows Program
True. Fundamentals are not good at mac.
It all depends on your use case, just weigh out what’s important for you.
there are a lot of better laptops than alienwares like asus zephyrus g14, lenovo legion slim 7 (AMD or Intel 2023), Lenovo legion 7 pro, Acer predator helios. Check out the legion slim 7 if you want great portability and power.
So far still using Mac? would you suggest Windows or Mac for a Motion Designer?
Brilliant. Thanks
You're welcome!
I just returned m3 macbook pro. Trash window management. Peripherals like mice and keyboard even the most expensive one dont work properly. Gotta install 3 different apps to make the mouse work normally.
Learning from the best 😅
Glad you found it useful
my love is having 3-finger drag. tap to click and I never have to press down at all
Same here 👌
That was a great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I bought a Mac for my parents about 10 years ago and it lasted a good 7-8 years before it slowed to a crawl. Whereas, almost all of my Windows machines lasted over 15 years.
Very useful video 👍👌
Glad you liked it ✌️
Great video, definitely makes me not one to get one! 😂
At least you made up your mind
Malone time Mac user, and sometimes watch these videos to see what issues people transitioning to macOS have. I enjoyed your video but, you gotta do something about that plant in the foreground. It was moving all through the video and was a little distracting
Glad you enjoyed it & thanks for the feedback on the plant 🙏🏽
I did not even notice a plant until someone complained.
The mirrored video at 1:03 killed me 💀
disagree many mac users do know how to use their mac. there are easy ways to do things and there is more user videos on mac than windows.
is elabeh short for elizabeth?
No, Elabeh is short for Elabeh 🤣
Woah! You have 666 subscribers. The number of the beast. Quick. Let me make it 667 before demons rise up and smite the feck out of us.
really you are completely mac dependent with no frustrations on it?
I didn‘t even notice that this channel isn‘t that huge (yet!) because the production quality is so great!! Keep it up🥹
I use send anywhere to upload anything to the PC. It's free
i nevre pay for software on windows because of torrents. can i avoid paying for mac software?
Just tell me how long the transfer will take
The selection in icon view is really stupid though
matter of opinion, many persons like myself like to know how fast a transfer is. It can help you to determine if there are any issues with your connectivity or end device...
5:32 well they dont. apple is happy cloud works and they have your files
Nice video by please move the shaky plant 😂
It annoyed me in editing 😂 Thanks for the feedback
what is pho"O"
If you don’t game on the windows the mac is just better
I bet your current Windows Laptop isn't $3000 either though.
nowhere near
I bet your current Windows Laptop will crash more, have more viruses and unwanted pop ups and probably not save your media correctly like a $3000 one will.
That would be my minimum expectation 😂
I use both and not complain at all.....
I’ve been battling between Lenovo and Apple M1, but this has made up mind. I’m sticking to Lenovo! I don’t have the patience to do deal with the Mac.
Give a chance to IINA and I believe you will never go back to VLC again! :)
💯
✌️
Control A on the Mac
Firstly whatever you plug in is shown on the side bar of your finder. sorry but i know exactly how to use my mac. when you learn then you will know fully as well.
Why are you asking randoms for information when apple has a support app dedicated to answering questions 😂
It's best to get feedback from the users of the product than the company.
a suggestion: please make some real educational videos instead of reviews
Will do, Thanks
LOLOL The look on your face from the sound system. Yeah bro RIdiculous. Welcome home. I only use my windows machines for Linux. Cant stand Windows But Linux on my M! Max runs so amazing its insane
Everything is just weird in windows, I don’t get it.
From these videos what I've gathered is that the Macs hardware us impeccable but the software is trash and limiting
Welcome to my world! Mac is absolutely great. If you learn it, you will never come back to windows. 😀
Once you go Mac, you never go back 😂
@@elabeh And yet, most of the world is loyal to Windows for the last 25 years:
-US government
-US military
-Wall Street
-largest and richest corporations
-anyone serious about gaming
-anyone that wants good value
Why Macbook air faster than pro series? Why M2 pro or M3 pro are sluggish??
9:22 and not even have apple mouse lol. yes it suck and cost too much
copying a whole video is crazy work
I'm in the same boat. Wanted to switch from Windows to Mac because Apple hardware is top notch, but unfortunately the OS (MacOS) is a huge letdown. After using it for about three years, I've concluded that macOS feels like a hybrid between a full-featured operating system like Windows and a mobile OS, specifically optimized for touchpad and single-screen use.
it work for you. you are youtuber lol, but mac there is 0 app i need lol. thats funny. only good is can open kalinux and plug wireless dongle and you hacking lol lol. anyway works same on windows lol
It’s always good to purchase what is good for you
send me the windows laptop, lol i need one
It has sentimental value bro 🤣
🙌 Promo>SM
At what cost? Be a sheep? 😢
Mbeeeh
bro you look like chunkz
Not all Somalis look the same bro 🤣
Who else was trying to concentrate onto the things being discussed here but was carried away all the time by this shakey-a** plant on the left side. What kind of rubber table are you working on jeez
Windows users on Steam: 96.61%
Linux users on Steam: 1.82%
Mac users on Steam: 1.57%
Have a nice day everyone! 👍👍
Then you want to start a game, and you cry.
