"Preparing a large attack" is actually the small attack you can't dodge while "Attack incoming!" and three danger stripes above your Pokemon indicate a powerful targeted attack you can dodge. It's also important to not use charge moves and prioritize 0.5s Fast moves to Dynamax as fast as possible. Dynamaxing faster increases your damage, survivability and lets you get more Dynamax phases in before the boss enrages. I think the heal and guard strategies are both fine right now but I'd bring two attackers, one healer and one hyrbid for the heal strat. I think as we get more Dynamax releases that the 3rd Tank and Hit strategy will be by far the best. This strategy not only covers for glass cannons like Gengar and Inteleon but also for powerful attackers without 0.5s Fast moves. Tanks with great defenses and resistances as well as 0.5s Fast moves will allow these Pokemon to far outperform generic bulky attackers that work for other strategies. The only reason this strategy doesn't work is because we don't have those Pokemon yet but Greedent / Gengar is a good start. Most of our current best attackers are simultaneously the best tanks so they have no need to have a separate tank for them.
Got my Gigantimax shiny and it was a three star, wasnt the greatest three star, but was a three star, so Im happy as hell, I didnt think I'd ever get one but my community is awesome, we did it with 10-26 people multiple times. THE REAL STRATEGY HERE: (For doing Gigadynamax as 4 for the future): have 1 throwaway pokemon at the front to get First dynamax and have 1 good counter in the back there are 3 roles: 1 player is defender 1 player is healer 2 players are attacker all should have max attack on 3 healer max spirit on 3 defender max guard on 3 the healer heals if necessary on dynamax the defender keeps their shields at 2-3 the attacker just attack NO ONE USES CHARGE MOVES (bc they do no dmg and are slower then fast attacks to dynamax) use a the quickest fast attack on all mons ( for example for toxicitriy/excadrill the best was mud shot) you spam your fast attacks to get to the next dynamax phase and then rinse and repeat heal if necessary/ shield if necessary i am like baffled like this was up on reddit like a week before wild area and u still put up just misinformation to have people loose the gigadynamax raids
Unfortunately for me (and many other people) is that some don't have people playing during G-Max raids appearing around, and it's even more difficult to group up people if some don't even use Campfire (like I made a group form my county and nobody entered since I made it, which was when Campfire became globally available), which makes it impossible for someone in this state to EVEN attempt one of these type of raids. Also as of writing, day 1 of Go Wild ended, and even tried to solo a G-Max Toxtricity, and got the D-Max meter to full, but after that I instantly lost my shields and hot wiped. The only thing they could do if they still want to keep G-Max raids local only (which is fair enough, I know they won't make them remotely available), is to add some sort of item that can drops from maybe 3 star or higher D-Max raids, which allows to turn any available pokemon to D-Max, and any D-Max to G-Max, of course only available for pokemons in the Galar dex and pokemon already released in D-Max or G-Max forms, and this item can be bough in the shop for like 300 pokecoins if you don't want to get one from D-Max raids.
Remember: don't use charge moves when fighting Gmax pokemon. Charge attack give the same max particles as fast attack. Charge attack takes longer than fast attack. Charge attack doesn't deal a lot damage, max attack is much much much better.
@cr_chain from my personal observation max particles are connected to damage done. It's give more particles in Dmax raid because there charge attack does something, in Gmax raids they don't do a lot of damage so there are not more particles.
I'm not sure if it works but as I noticed, when there is a Gigantamax, the boss often switches quite often from 1* dynamax (which is very to defeat), and 6* boss Gigantamax, so maybe if we defeat that 1* dynamax boss then put 1 mon in the power spot, it will support our main Gigantamax battle. So if you have a group of about 10 people, try using 10 accounts, defeating this power spot when it's 1*, put mon there to support, and come back when the power spot changes back to Gigantamax.
Reminder that the Max meter is boosted one piece per attack. So, you do a 0.5 sec move like Vine Whip or Dragonbreath, you charge the meter twice as fast as a bullet punch or counter. You want those faster fast moves 100%
Use campfire to find local groups in your area. You can communicate directly with other players through there. If there is no current group nearby, create your own. Be friendly and communicate with others that you may see playing in your local parks or normal playing areas. Let them know that there is a group on campfire where you can coordinate for events. Somebody has to get the ball rolling. If this isn’t something that you want to do, this part of the game may just not be for you, which is fine too.
People dont know how to do gigantic max raids. And that is even if you find the right amount of people. People go straight for attacking and use ridiculously low cp pokemon. Come on people at least have high CP levels. So frustrating.
Unfortunately there are way more people that played this game casually then there are people that play hard-core or at least put effort in it. I actually entered a palkia raid yesterday, and noticed there were 15 people in it... and we were right next to a gigantamax raid... but not one person was entering it I literally had to get out the car and try to talk everyone into participating... and to jump out of the Pokémon was using a certain move.. ( power up punch and wild charge was destroying most people ) and just those simple instructions were very difficult.... I even witnessed someone throwing a Dmax Blastoise 😔💔... which is weak too electric... a lot of people just literally play just to play and collect... most people aren't into it competitively ( don't care about PvP Pokémon ) we did win that fight after 3 tries ... but you can tell it was tap tap tap method... absolutely no strategy involved. 😔... these raids are gonna be really hard to do in the future
As a player who started in October no idea how you even get to the ability to fight these things. The boss pokemon just destroy you and the easy ones you just destroy and you just add another lowly pokemon to your storage.
I have one year playing and i still don't get how these people have that a lot of candies. I need a lot of candies to lvl up and upgrade my max attacks
strategy 2 is faulty. at level 3, max spirit heals 16% of each Pokemon's HP. X3 = 48%. If the boss does more than this in damage then you're done for. You either need 2 healers (with level 3 which requires a lot of XL candy) or this strategy is not viable
It does depend on the matchup. If your Pokemon double resist attacks then you can do one healer but for other cases you should have one full healer and have another attacker also have a heal.
That’s what happens when you take too long. That is the hidden timer that people have referenced. Once you get to that point, the game is essentially kicking you out.
the biggest issue i have with this aspect of pogo is that there is no point to D max if G max is just superior, the only positive side of this mechanic is that its irrelevant outside of showing off.
The go Wild ticket, 12 dollars like was said above, those give you a ton of them every hour. The 2 dollar one gives 2 every hour. Then you get 2 for free. Lastly you'll get Safari balls rarely fro spinning stops...
Hey I want to ask so I have a dynamax hauter and if I want it to be a gigantamax Gengar do I have to do something or I just got to evolve it? (I'm still confused)
You can *only* get Gigantamax Pokemon from winning a Gigantamax raid and catching the reward encounter, there's not currently (and possibly never will be) a way to evolve one
I've already done 8 gmax raids and received a total of 4 catch screens. Im completely let down by this mechanic that dom't even work as it should and still keep capitalizing on time money and sanity from players like me, that spend expecting to get just the fair from what we invest in the game. I'm no longer trying any gmax until they reply my tickets (with screenshots that prove the battles) or puboic say that this bug is vanished from the game
I was in a gmax tox raid with 39 people and we still lost. I suspect that it was because the boss was weather boosted and with Wild Charge, which made it much much harder to defeat.
That's because more than half of those people have low CP Pokemon. It baffles me that people think they can take down these gigantic max pokemon with less 1000 CP and no upgrades. People are clueless and Niantic did a poor job at explaining the new RPG elements. I blame both.
Why all the coolest events in Pokemon Go need tickets and pay by money also extra money paid or pokecoin to buy the in game events that mean tickets not included in game items (can be said not that many in game items). Mighty Pokemon reminds me about Mighty Mouse and Mighty Morphine Power Rangers!
