- Brand Africa's Thebe Ikalafeng says if he were a DA member, he would
have immediately dismissed party member Renaldo Gouws for a video
where he uses racist language.
Ikalafeng says the conclusion one comes up with when looking at the
DA, is that they don't live in South Africa as everyone else.

Renaldo Gouws said Vicky momberg was wrong and fairly convicted. He then went onto criticizing Julius malema saying his kill the boer song was hurtful and then he said that if he said this and made a comparitive slur using the K word and said see it would hurt others, which is what he did in a comparative drama. I don't like Gouw's ideas, but making an unsavoury comparison is not hate speach. Just because some people are too foolish to comprehend the intent does not mean one has to join their dullness of comprehension of intent.

That's ironically what Americans who support racism say. They defend racism as a form of freedom of speech i.e. spewing nonsense! It is dangerous because it will incite a misguided teen to bomb a church or to shoot 5 year olds and all for what? Because you wanted to be free to claim non existent racial superiority? We are all homo sapiens and like any other species we all look different big deal!
@@Mantaray911 He used the word that was used for many years by the Portuguese and many others and best describe a person/nation who lived their lives as if there is no God who will judge them in the afterlife. Stealing, murdering, has no respect for life, filthy, uneducated and stupid. That word does not describe the race of the person/nation, but their mental state rather. Wikipedia changed the meaning of that word recently. It is unlawful to use the word today, but not unlawful to tell the person he/she is guilty of those actions, described by that word. It's like telling a person that he/she stole you're car, but not allowed to call him/her a thief. For most South Africans, politicians and the legal system, using that word is much more evil than calling for the killing of white farmers.

It's amazing how this Brand Africa guy is so holier than thou in saying what the DA should have done and how racist they are etc etc. I wonder if he holds the same views about the ANC, EFF & MK. The ANC refer every criminal action to their "internal ethics" committee which is an absolute joke, but once again rules for thee but not for me. Renaldo must be held accountable, no question, but like Malema in his hate speech case, will he be allowed to bring in the "context" of what he said? Malema got away with it, let's see if double standards apply.
Malema had context but he was wrong. It is still indefensible. Unfortunately Gouws has no context. Gouws has no reason to hate or resent black people whatsoever. Nor do you. You need to screw your head on right brother.

I absolutely abhor what Renaldo did & no question that he has to take accountability for his disgusting behaviour. My point is that there must not be double standards in assessing this.
