In the past week, a multi-disciplinary team of Department of Employment and Labour inspectors led an integrated national blitz of the hospitality sector, targeting approximately 2 000 restaurants. They allege restaurants were becoming problematic. To what extent is the Basic Conditions of Employment Act being contravened? What are workers really going through?
