Imagine an alternate reality where Sonic 1 had different remixes for Act 2 and 3...
Made using a combination of the original individually stemmed out vgm tracks, as well as VOPM, and ripped samples.

Honestly, the Act 3 version of Scrap Brain Zone is my favourite out of all the remixes from this series. Perfectly done :)

Okay- the use of Labyrinth Zone in Act 3 is definitely how this should have originally been done. Bravo!

Act 2's mix is lots of fun. The faster tempo adds a wonderfully quirky quality. I can easily see it playing while Sonic zooms through Act 2's tubes. But the star of the show is easily Act 3, with the Labyrinth instrumentation. It really feels like that's how it should have been done. Love this.
For Scrap Brain Act 3, I REALLY like what you did with mashing up Labyrinth Zone in there, but I'd also take advantage of that one part of Labyrinth that sounds like the boss theme

That Act 3 Remix, though... mixing Labyrinth Zone in there is nothing new in the minds of those making unique Act remixes for this Zone, but the way it was pulled off here is great! It doesn't make Labyrinth Zone's tune the full-on focus of the song, but is still there just enough to fit the literal recoloured Labyrinth Zone theme of the Act.
I kinda wish you also used the Game Gear/Master System version as a base for Act 2.
Also I think Act 3 could have used more of a feeling of dread since it's the last level of the game before the final boss.
Really liking Act 2. The increased tempo and slightly different melody really give it its own personality.
It's only now that I realise the composer of the original soundtrack committed something of a missed opportunity by not making the final act of Scrap Brain sound a bit more Labyrinthian. Very clever idea, and nicely put together as well.
For some reason, Act 2 had me thinking, "This is MY power, and I'm using it to save MY friends."
And why did Act 3 seem to have undernotes of Labyrinth (as if I couldn't guess? 😝)
It’s because Scrap Brain Zone Act 3 is nicknamed Labyrinth Zone Act 4.

Someone put the Scrapyrinth song in a hack. It's called "Sonic 1 Contemporary". It has different music per act but that's the only song made by this guy in the game.
Only one thing would make this better:I hope someone will one day remaster or orchestrate these tracks.

Must ask, have you considered giving the Game Gear / Master System tracks the same treatment? Gotta admit, Bridge and Jungle zone could be pretty amazing with alternate interpretations.

I knew you'd incorporate Labyrinth into Act 3, but didn't think it would work. After hearing your other mixes, I came to realize I might be a fool for doubting you. Now I know I was.
Going back to my last post, if there's changes, will Act 3 actually resemble Scrap Brain? I'd didn't mind the Labyrinth elements, but there was too much of it IMO.
