I have many The Works tools. Most recent was the multi wheelbarrow/ Dolly / garden work bench. Love this company oh and I now have the pressure washer. Look forward to getting this little handy sander for Christmas
Excellent, clear and concise review, thanks for making the video. I have 8 worx batteries already so I'm going to pick up this for a stair renovation I am working on.
I love all the worx products, I have about 10 tools so far with zero issues with any of them and I've beatn up a few of them pretty good n they still operate perfectly. This will be my next purchase... 😁
ha thats exactly why i make these video's :) glad you liked it. I actually returned it since i am in the Bosch Professional battery ecosystem already. But more importantly, like i said in the video, for prolonged use tools, its prob better to go for a corded option
I have this sander for a while now and I recently noticed that the lever on the handle is making a weird vibrating noise. The noise disappears once we grab the handle to start sanding something but the vibrating noise comes back once we take our hands from the sander. I guess I have to open it all up and investigate.
might just be a loose screw or sth, its a vibrating machine in the end :) WORX has pretty good return policies though, so you can always take that route as well
usually depends on local deals by the buildermarket or the brand. Prettymuch any toolbrand has various sets in various forms with various prices. Thisone came in a case indeed, but often the put it in a zipperbag with a pricedrop
This may be a silly question ... But when you run out of sand paper pads, can you just buy sandpaper from the hardware store and cut it into shape ,or are these pads pretty easy to acquire?
both. You can get the velcro pads at any hardware store from any brand. for the square one you can attach any regular paper once you cut it to size and with the pad with the hole-punchers you can punch the ventilation/dust suck holes into the paper and you are good to go
all depends on the speed setting of course, but with 4Ah you should get about half an hour of continued use. Works best if you have a quickcharger and another battery ready so you can swap them out and charge while using the other. But if you already own several Worx tools that should be no problem :)
yeah this battery was def on the small side, limiting the amout of work you can do in 1 charge. I prefer to keep my tools light and agile so the smaller pack's would work great on a drill for example that youll use in short bursts. For a sander a heavy pack would def be the way to go, so you can actually work for 30-40min on end before having to swap. I run a BOSCH tool system and i have a bunch of big and small batterypacks that i alternate between tools. When sanding for example i have 1 charging while i use another so i can switch and continue
You are not supposed to put weight on a random orbital sander. You are slowing down the sanding speed and you are creating swirl marks. But nice video.
Just opened my new 5-1 worx I cant seem to get the Hyperlock to turn more than a quarter rotation before it won't turn any further. Is there something I'm missing or could it be broken right out of the box.
thats hard to tell without looking at the unit. But (here in NL at least) works is pretty good with returns and warranty, so its worth taking it back to the store if it seems broken
Great tool. A lot of parts to look after, but definitely worth it. I have a number of WORX power tool and this one is almost my favorite.

Great review, just what I needed, as I couldn't figure out how to change the heads. THANKS
glad to help you out!

ohyeah, if you are in the worx ecosystem already then its realy a no-brainer :)

youll be very happy with it, fits nicely into the ecosystem :)
I love all of my Worx tools! Ty for sharing.
Glad you like them!
Hi, really terrific sander for multiple uses. Would be great if there was something similar without the battery limitation
Great detailed review. When is it appropriate to use speed 1 and speed 4? Does it depend on the grit level used?
you can adjust the speed depending on how precise and/or careful you wanna be with the surface
Exactly what i was looking for. Exactly when i needed to see it. Nice timing on the video release. Lol

This came in a case? One i ordered said zipper bag

My first thought too… I ordered direct from Worx and got the sad zipper bag.
Brushless motor?
When you are showing it working in orbital mode is that full speed?
cant really show fullspeed properly on camera due to the refresh rate of the video. But there is speed adjustment on the tool

Great review. I have a couple of Worx cordless tools. I was wondering about how long does the battery run with a 4Ah battery?

Would you be able to recommend a stronger battery? Btw, a fantastic video.

Nice, thanks
No problem 👍

What I don't know is, are the sand paper proprietary? Or can I buy any replacement from the hardware store ?
you can get generic paper
