Thanks this video was very informative. Few questions - 1. Did you try using bamboo inserts or flats or muslin cloth inside newborn diapers? 2. Does this method hold for night time? 3. How many newborn Thirstie's would you need and fleece liners?
I haven't tried the bamboo inserts or muslin cloth but they are both supposed to be really good for over night. We always used a wool cover for night time. I would say for a newborn you would need at least 4-5 thirsties covers just bc newborns tend to have messier diapers and you want enough to last you in between washes. For the liners maybe a dozen to 2 dozen. Hope this helps!
@@KellysKorner08 Thanks again for responding !! So I was planning to buy 3 flip and 3 thirsties. Does flip work fine for newborn? and can you also show how you do wool routine?
Flip would work fine. They are really good covers. I haven't used the wool cover in a very long time, my newborn is now almost 3 years old! 😀 But there are lots of informative videos on them! I learned everything from RUclips!
Only exclusively breastfeed poop is water soluble. If your baby is formula or baby food / cereal you have to wash the poop off in the toilet.... and you done NEED a diaper sprayer... they help but I’m cloth diapering both my kids without a sprayer
Thank you for that information. There seems to be a lot of controversy around that topic. Everything I've ever researched suggest formula poop is water soluble and safe to wash as breasted. I've only ever breastfed while cloth diapering so I don't know 1st hand. As for the diaper sprayer, it's not a necessity but as mentioned in the video is very convenient. Props to you for doing it without one! ☺
This was so helpful I am newly pregnant with my 3rd and we want to cloth diaper. I didn’t know where to begin but your video helped so much. Thank you
Congratulations! ❤❤❤

Formula poop is fine, it's an old myth. I live in a country where breastfeeding isn't common and it's the norm to not rinse.
I breast fed until 4 months but after that I had to give formula. I didn’t spray my diapers u til he started solids at around 8 months.
