One of my favorite things to remind people of in regards to Virtual Adepts and Technocrats as well, is that “technology” is not just physical gadgets, but any practical application of scientific knowledge.
Using a Lever is technology, but so is having a strong enough working understanding of memes to work with the Mind Spere, or using Speedrunning techniques with the time sphere, planning out routes ahead of time and altering your personal “frame rate” to optimize your movements. Or exploiting soft spots in reality that you found through observation and testing to “no clip” through a wall, in order to end up somewhere else or inside secret areas full of “unused assets” (correspondence or spirit). I had a character who did all those things and the only physical technology she really needed were some AR goggles, and occasionally using a VR setup to train these skills in a simulation before she could use them in the field. Get weird with it.
One of my favourite PCs was a VA called Glitch. He was unable to leave his Sanctum due to being quadriplegic but he had a bunch of drones that allowed him to take care of his needs.
His interaction with the group was through a hologram drone - but none of this "hard light" type. The group found out when we were jumped by Iteration X and one of the agents brained himself trying to tackle the hologram and running into the wall. The name came from his main way to influence the world which was by creating glitches when he stuck his hand into electronics or even brains. He had no idea what the result would be, but it'd definitely screw the bad guys up! 😁
I was introduced to WoD by hunter the parenting,
But your videos made me want to give it a shot at playing
Welcome back.
I created a VA that was inspired by Stein from Soul eater . I found your channel by accident whilst I was trying to come up with new ideas. I appreciate a crash course in the Virtual Adepts to help me create new ideas for rotes and new inventions
It’s awesome to see how far the VA’s have developed over the years. And great video!
Glad to see you back i personally look forward to your continued content.
You definitely deserve more subs. I'm a long-time subscriber.
Great video, nice touch using an AI generated description 👍
To quote a certain virtual adept.
“Woah.”
It’s not necessarily a belief in virtual reality, but rather the notion that this virtuality exists in some form. Whatever it may be, whether you believe in the Matrix or Sesame Street, the point is that there is a system model that needs to be broken and reformulated to create Reality 2.0.
By common sense, this virtual reality is pop culture itself. Everything created by pop culture exists somewhere in reality. The Roswell toy figures actually happened; it’s all true. His imagination and pretend play are so powerful that they end up becoming real.
An adherent of virtuality doesn’t need to follow the hacker archetype; they are an anarchist. And not in the sense of rejecting all hierarchy, but as someone who challenges the prevailing status quo. They clash with the system by opposing it head-on. Their rebelliousness stirs up controversy, not necessarily through physical confrontations, but by creating the same impact intellectually, challenging established information with new ideas.
A Clown tx you...:)

Hey why is this video new even though I watch it a day or so ago?
Because the audio wasn't very good so I thought I would try to upload a better one!
