My Euthanatos mage of the 1990’s wasn’t goth. He was middle aged, short, fat, jolly, and wore brown suits. Brown is the color of both life such as rich soils and death such as dead leaves. As jewelry and for use as a focus he wore a triangular pin on his lapel promoting recycling and had a pocket watch.
Played a character in a Mage LARP in the early 00s who was a Hindu Fate mage. While assassination wasn't something he shied from... instead, he spent much of his time guiding people into situations and places where they would cross the path of other fated people, and, in effect, move people closer to realizing their fate. He wove together strands of fate for the greater good. There were times, however, when a strand of fate needed to be cut, for the greater good. Loved playing that character.
I'm looking forward to when you get to the Conventions of the Technocratic Union. Technocracy Reloaded is an absolute page turner, and I really love the Void Engineers.
While this tradition book is perhaps their vary best, don't be fooled by the stylized trappings and fiction vainer; The Chakravanti are the mythologic reflection of the Santana conscious centered religions (Advaia-Shivism-Shakism); Along with many millions of others happen to have been raised in an Ashram community of Sant Mat (the Divine Light Mission; Sat Guru Rrem Pal Rawat/Maharajji). The Divine Light Mission was/has been world wide for more than 50 years, and Advaita has been global for much longer than that. I say it's consciousness centered religion because its entire built on the central and foundational practice of one-pointedness through transcendental Meditation. In most ways, they are vary atheistic; Sant Mat is largely "impersonalist", though many engage in personalism discipline. Theravada Buddhism is likewise part of this "Chakravanti" tradition, while Mahayana Buddhism thoroughly syncretized with Taoism, and is more a part of that tradition of metaphysics and cosmology ("Akashayana"). Also, the connections between "hindu" Santana and Vondun/Iwa (the Yoruban religion) are quite evident. Most difficult of all, it was those Ascetic Shaivani and Advaita Gurus who helped their ecstatic colleges found the Hare Krishnas (ecstatics practicing personalism/ bhakti); the Chakravani and the Sahajiya are two sides of the same coin. Being that the santana consciousness centered religions all hold to cosmologial Eternalism, that "evil/sin/malice" is nothing more than ignorance, they face their own version of what the westren theisms call "the problem of evil"- how did we get entangled in ignorance and manifestation? Why do we suffer. The Kashmiri Shaivits and Saktists have call it "Lilu", the play of the divine. There are strong ecstatic elements to the concept of Lilu, and its insistence that the transitory world is beautiful. Lilu often associated Lasksmi, and is the closest to what you might think of a luck. I think the Euthanatos have a big problem with Vampire necromancers esp. the Hecata. who use necromancy as a way to power rather than turning the wheel. I would think the the vampire Hecata necromancers are up there with the technocracy, nephandi as candidates for the good death.
The character I had in mind that best fit the Euthanatos in my opinion is a character I like to call "Madame Rayvaun." Just this wily old vixen from New Orleans in her late 40s, covered in tattoos of creepy crawlies, and actual demons. With these she's able to summon these creatures to do her bidding. Among this spell, she has the usual arsenal of spells held by the Euthanatos, as well as this aura of fear she casts around herself to intimidate her foes.

Hope i did them justice Matt.
Best Tradition, don't care what people say.

You've already made a video on my favorite Tradition (Order of Hermes), but I'd still like to vote on the next one: Cult of Ecstasy.
I'm currently learning Mage so I can storytell, no small task for someone new to this side of the screen. Your videos are very helpful; thank you!
Oh this is nice!
PS: your audio is much better in later videos. That was the only setback on your earlier ones.
bought the book a few months ago love it excellenet stuff. Also Euthanatos is not only about death, afterlife etc. it is about fate luck.

Is your book official from the WoD or is it more homebrew?
It's community content on STV, so basically elaborate homebrew yes!
@@TheHermeticHipster thanks!
