Peaty is legend, grew up racing MTB's in the 80's and raced DH through the 90's and early 2000. Remember watching him when he started his career, such a cool guy and epic rider. Great to see him on EMTB and still killing it!
Had the pleasure of riding Grenoside a few years back, need to go again, the tracks are amazing! Can do Wharncliffe and Greno on the same day, many times. Love it.
great to see Pete again, our 1st consistent British champion who i believe helped revolutionised the downhill side of the sport & who would not be afraid to try out new tech, mmm i have been considering an ebike due to the same reasons as Pete, but they are so damn expensive the ones that meet requirements & are worth investing in, so maybe one day.
Wharncliffe is on hell of a push up and you would be lucky to do 5 runs before your knackered so the ebike is the perfect tool for riding in these woods .
My city, I love the fact that I have this 7 miles away and so much more. I would not be mountain biking at my age with out the assistance. The purists piss me off a bit when they miss half the fun and challenge by walking their bikes up a hill. Respect to both Steve's, both icon's in a sport I've started to love.
As a 55 year old unfit guy and fairly recent convert to the world of e-bikes. Couldn’t agree more with this guy. Great insight. All this nonsense about weight. Improve your technique. Simples. 👍
Yep! My carbon emtb gets poked fun at for being 56lbs... until I blow by their 40lbs emtb because I have 3000w/230nm and *technique for that bike. With the right tire, suspension set up and technique, weight is nothing. My dad can kick my ass on any trail or single track with 30+ y/o 125cc Elsinore that has less suspension and significantly more weight.
good stuff real Ebikes aren't for cheater just a little bit different weapon! Those two beams remind of this trail that I ride that crosses a set of railroad tracks that is really pronounced. I have never done it oher tracks I have but mess that one up and you and the bike will probably feel it.
Awesome,I'm over Wharncliffe most weekends (and midweek during summer),pop to Greno occasionally too but prefer the gnarly wharny tbh , wharny and Greno is ebike heaven 👌big respect to the trail builders up here 👍
Was great to see you guys when you filmed this, and thanks for including Murphy he absolutely loves running behind me down steel city.
Wonderful to see Peaty on the trails. What a MTB superstar and nice chap. ❤
Agreed! It was great to get out on the trails with Steve! He's always a pleasure to have on the channel!

Thanks Mr Jones for another great video! Thanks also for showing us Mr Peat's local ride...
Keep up the great work Steve
It was good to see Steve in my neck of the woods today if he's down here again I might treat him to a pint or two 😁👍🏾

Awesome to watch you and Pete.
Glad you enjoyed it! We hope to meet up with Peaty soon!
@15:53 -the importance of walk mode could be utilized more 💪🏼
Perfect description of why ebikes are so amazing
Couldn't agree more! 🤘
Greno woods is amazing, started riding there in 93. Used to ride up from chapeltown after school almost everday
Can't believe you didn't film him doing the big gap!
Great insight from Peaty.
100%! It's always a pleasure to have him on the channel!
@@embn I used to ride there in the early 2000's, great to see the area in such good shape. Thanks for the content!
Nice place to ride

Good old Pete Steave
Please EMBN a body armor protector review? Like the gform chest and back, fox vest proctection? Is those really necesary and goes comfortable??
Ride whanry and Greno at least once a week! Even spotted Steve a few time on the trails never got to chat because he’s gone 😂
What knee protection is Peaty using? They look nice and low profile? Great vid!
Steve, it's not pushing up, it's track inspection!
Exactly! 😂
I keep corn on the cob in my SWAT box...
That track is seriously good fun especially when the 7 yr olds start doing no handers on the 22 foot gap.

I guess S Pete has more grey matter than S Jones as he actually has gloves on!
It's great to see you and the big dog having fun in the steel city, 🤘🚵♀️
Always! We had such a great time filming this video! It's always cool hanging out with Steve Peat! 👊

Very true! Riding an e-bike is definitely not cheating! Thanks so much for the support! 👍
Just here to see the SC haters whine about prices. LOVE all those bikes 😍
Wheres the yorkshire accent gone steve
