I made fresh squeezed lemonade today. I will make the lemon peel powder tomorrow. We have a lot of citrus trees in our yard, so I am going to make lots of citrus peel powders and candied citrus peels too.
What a great, great, great, great idea, to DIY lemon powder!!! I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds GREAT!!! Currently, the closest thing I'm doing to using powdered lemon (which is only vaguely close), is adding cardamom to coffee in the brewing process. I hear that globally, cardamom is the most popular coffee flavoring, used more around the Middle East. It's expensive, but excellent in coffee!!!! I suppose that powdered lemon would have a very similar effect!!! And, the same goes for tea!!!!! These are uses for powdered lemon that a person can use every single day, I think it's such a great idea and I appreciate your video sharing this wonderful information, thank you SO MUCH!!!
Hi, I made lemon powder following your instructions exactly and it came out very bitter. I closely scraped the pith from the peels, dehydrated (I also have the NESCO unit) them until crisp, then ground them fine as you did. The lemons were purchased and the outsides were scrubbed well. What did I do wrong? Thanks so much. 😊

Outstanding food gift idea, too!!!!! Who wouldn't LOVE receiving home-made lemon powder as a gift!!!

I literally made this without seeing this nice and it smells amazing
Good vedio. Can I drink it as tea. What else can I use for.
Going to try this for sure!
I'm dehydrating lemon and orange 🍊 peel right now, in my oven.
Great 👍
how long does it need to be in the oven and how high is the temperature needed. we dont have a dehydrator and i wanted to try this
Most dehydrating in the oven is done on the lowest heat..
You didn’t say what temperature to set the dehydrator at??
Can they be dried in the sun?

They are naturally bitter. The nutrients are in the white pith.
Thank you so much for this. I was wondering what to do with these peelings.
I do not own a dyhidrator. Un the oven : what température? For how long miss?
I always clean my lemons before zesting them or cutting them.
Pretty sure that’s a given
Great video Pam. How long would it take to do at low temp in the over
4 hours at 175 F

Hello thanks for sharing! What was the time for using an oven?
"Save your lemons!" Lol like we're throwing whole lemons away in this economy 😂
I actually know people that do throw their lemons away 😭.
Can lemon pepper be made with this? Anyone have a good recipe?
