If you want to enjoy really in Mallorca with your bike go in February. You will love Mallorca Routes with the incredible Almond Blossom in the field. So nice and espectacular!
The state of that room though. A load of us went to a stag in Dublin and our rooms were tidier than that after 4 days on the Guinness, if you disregard the unclaimed pair of skid marked pants that were on the floor for 3 days that is.
Best time is Almond tree season, With mild temps of 15 deg from the end of jan, when the buds on the trees whole swathes of the island buds burst out in bright pink, white and rose, or later on in the year if you want a cycle through the orange tree groves covered in orange blossom with the very strong sweet smell going throught the air takes your breath away and with the smell of Cacti mixed in, And to have a cycle south from magaluf 3 min outside your in the country wth lots of remote deap blue coves to go swimming in all to yourself. Palma flower market on a Sun at 7am is worth getting up and seeing and smelling the rows of flowers as far as the eye can see, And the smell of the tulips and other flowers is very nice and uplifting after a hangover :)
Funnily enough just mapping out rides from Puerto De Pollensa for my group's trip next March. Fabulous cycling in the north of the island, you should do another video Juliet!
Late feb, March and April, then late September, oktober, but as far as I know November till January can be gloomy and rainy: the rain has to come at some point for Majorca to be so green…
I love Shimano and DI2, but I also like it Mechanical. I also like SRAM for the ease, but had more chaindrops with SRAM so staying away till the next gen.
Very enjoyable video. But not sure what you find intuitive about SRAM. Having to press two levers at the same time to shift to the big ring is intuitive for you? Please elaborate. Have been riding with Dura Ace Di2 for years and have yet to drop the chain. Dropped it twice on two consecutive rides with the new SRAM eTap when I didn't synchronize pressing of the two levers perfectly. It sucks. Let alone the hassle of shifting when you have the bike on the rack. You surely must be joking.
Not joking at all. Left lever to go left on the cassette, right lever to go right. That’s SO straight forwards and easy to remember. Dropping your chain has nothing to do with not pushing the two buttons at the same time (which isn’t really hard to do anyway).
@@JulietElliottsChannel You didn’t address the issue of shifting to the big gear and back down on the front with two hands in any meaningful way. Or having the impossible task of running through the gears when the bike is on the rack. Also, why did the chain drop, twice, when I was shifting to the big gear? You say it had nothing to do with the levers, when I tell you it did. I was the one shifting, not you. SRAM is not intuitive and sucks compared to the Shimano Di2. I’ve yet to hear a cogent argument for SRAM. No reasonable person would argue that having to press TWO levers is more intuitive than pressing one when riding a bike. And don’t even get me started on having to take two separate batteries out to charge them. Absurd.
You reckon it's cold in England, eh. We've got snow forecast for tonight, and I've been resigned to riding the indoor bike for weeks. I'm not interested in riding outdoors when it's less than 20 deg C. But when Spring comes around next year, I'll be itching to get outside once it's over 10 deg. Anyway, it's great to see you enjoying yourself.
Majorca the Spanish Yorkshire. Like the stone wall set up u get on some of the roads. Deff no Tenerife weather wise in the Winter though.. Can throw a bit of crap down now and again.. lol.
Haha crazy I was literally sat in front of you at the UCI event. Luckily got some good cycling in at the start of the week but was faced with 40 mph winds the day before the event
I love Mallorca but like most islands weather is very temperamental, we usually go first 2 weeks of May or September, May is better for cycling as there’s not so much tourist traffic going through places like Campanet but September weather is slightly more reliable. Out of an 11 night stay we’d probably get 4 bad days on average.
You should tell that woman you were cycling with that she should keep to her own lane on the cycle path. She should not expect oncoming cyclists to get out of her way. Very poor cycling etiquette 😠
Best time to go - just January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December

Ah yes, heard about the almond blossom, sounds lovely

Always!
7:32 that transition is GOLD !!!!!
Ive been in April and Oct and found Oct to be better, still warm from the summer and not quite so busy.
early May and late September are great. Never seen rain in my trips at that time.
Morning!!! Love your channel ;accent and love for cycling, you're very inspiring...:)
When you're at Newport velodrome, you have to visit The Green Kitchen, 10 mins away on Cromwell Road, for the BEST CAKE you'll ever have!
Funnily enough just mapping out rides from Puerto De Pollensa for my group's trip next March. Fabulous cycling in the north of the island, you should do another video Juliet!
I once used a rental MTB to go up to Cap de Formentor. Beautiful lighthouse and view.
@Vegan's R Silly Have you cycled in Northern Majorca then?
Love Palma. You just never know how the weather will be. September would be nice and hot (usually). Nice video.

to be honest, you talked about an tornado? Was it in your hotel room? :-)
Early October for me. September is still a bit too warm (imo). Feb March & April too unreliable to be guaranteed sunshine.
I need to move if is like that in winter.
almost 100K...exciting!!!
Not cycling in Mallorca sounds like a reinterpretation of being in the ocean but not having enough to drink.
State of your room mate! It's like a grenade went off on your suitcase lol
Hahahaha indoor grenade range 😂😂 it's like Jacko's desk at work mate 😂😂
Looks just like her house.
Di2 easiest thing in the world, fast changing and amazing!
Agreed the best!
I love Shimano and DI2, but I also like it Mechanical. I also like SRAM for the ease, but had more chaindrops with SRAM so staying away till the next gen.

A big picture of you appeared on an ad at a bus stop today!
What is it with the English and Majorca (sic)? Was it part of you empire at one time?
5:50 Nice penny farthing sculpture 👍
Morning - Welcome to Juliet reviews hire bikes... I'm glad your doing it... I'm not encouraged... :)

Whatever happened to reviews on bikes and gear?
Still happening!

CUTE GUEST 😍😘😙😗
The albatross Lives
I live here. Kisses from Mallorca
I’ve never ridden a real velodrome. Maybe one day . I’ve never even ridden a fix gear either. ☠️☠️☠️👍🏼
Go to GC 27 all year round
Aww, what a shame but looks like you had a great time anyway. ☺️
!! shoes down from the bed!!
Did you see Rafael Nadal? ha ha.... His home town....

Mallorca is like Mecca for Germans. If it were a bit warmer there would be hundreds, if not thousands of them wandering around in banana hammocks.
April
Why would you go there for track cycling and not bring your own track bike along?
Because I asked in advance whether to bring one and I was told not to
👍👍👍👏🚴🏻♂️🇫🇷🇫🇷
"APPLE"....
Messy git! Looks nice

Why do roadies talk about being aero then cycle with an open jacket?
Clearly we don’t give a shit about being aero and are just going for a bike ride. It’s not a TT
