I just bought two intakes for this engine. One for Brit and One for what car follows next. Now, I have the next puzzle piece for the engine compartment.
In old days, I would wipe it down with thinner. I saw this and had to try it. The guy was using grease and wax remover. I thought why not windex dries clean and cheap and easy to dry. So I got 30 of the temu cheap cleaning sponge pads for 2.81. It works out and when a brite light hits the panel with the windex on it. It shows anything that the paint will highlight. I ordered a box of lint free painters towels plus other supplies.
Can't beat a compressor and a can of primer/filler. You are making life hard for yourself doing it with that spray can. You're building a car , you need to get the right gear. Spray gun is one of the basics.
Good work keep it going. Do what works for you.
You got that right.!

Ardex glass cleaner is the only thing I ever found to totally eliminate the possibility of fisheyes. I retired from Collision Repair.

I have two spray guns just don't want over spray in the engine compartment. I have several projects under the hood starting soon.
cleaning it and then wiping it off with a dirty greasy towel.
Clean old bath towel just brought out of the house. Normally, I cut into 6 pieces and use it with cleaning my body tools.
