More like, that one friend who's able to do everything on a car, and the second one who's doing all the talking and saying "whew, we did a great job" haha
Hands down the best RWB build I've seen on RUclips. No posers, wannabe's, or groupies hanging around. A nice guy and his kids, having fun together with their friends. So cool. Not to mention a seriously cool car... Good on ya, Mr Carbonara!
Enjoyed watching this build. No groups of 60-100 people watching and taking videos/pictures.. Just purely Nakai san doing all the work at RWB HQ. Love it.
This felt refreshing honestly, not like the spectacle almost circus level we westerners tend to make Nakai San builds seem. This though chefs kiss 👍🏽 just a couple of homies waiting on the finish product!
It's nice to see a serious car person do one of these vids. The whole rich people paying a high end shop to host it while they watch like Roman emperors and the shop's social media person turns it into some sort of hyped up production. Us not rich people just like cars. I like they focus on that
As someone who prefers narrow-body cars, I don’t get upset about RWB builds, and I doubt true purists do either. The argument only holds if you're more into preserving 'purity' than enjoying the car’s use. Honestly, thinking repro fenders won’t exist or that a good body shop can’t reverse it is unrealistic. The only people who’ll never understand are those who see cars purely as investments. But let’s be real: cars are just metal we assign value to. I love the Porsche vault with its matching-numbers, low-mileage gems, but cars aren’t meant to sit hidden, undriven, or give you anxiety about damage. They’re meant to be driven, enjoyed, and made your own.
That extremely well written statement doesn't just apply to RWB's or Porsche's, but _all_ vehicles.... nothing is more painful to see than a beautiful vehicle left to collect dust and slowly dry up, deteriorate, and atrophy from the lack of regular exercise.... that's what they were built for, let people see it _in motion_ .
This was really special. A couple of years ago, I was visiting Japan and I decided to look up his shop and stop by to see if I could get a T-shirt and a sticker. I found my way there, knocked on the door and he let me in and I sat there with him while he worked on a car, just me, him and the beagle. We chatted for a couple of hours, I bought some merch and I walked off into the Tokyo night. I don’t remember walking to the train-felt like I was floating. Really special. I feel like I’m a bit of a purist but his work takes me right back to my childhood where I would draw cars and always had the freedom to modify them. His cars are gorgeous because each one is an expression of this one person’s soul shared with the car owner. Thanks!
Hello Dino, Just wanted to show a bit of appreciation for your build. RWB Europe has its workshop in the village where I grew up. In fact, I drive past their workshop every Friday when I take my two-year-old to visit my parents. My local specialist that maintains my 986 Boxster also does several RWB cars. As a result, I have been exposed to quite a few Nakai inspired cars over the years. In recent years I had fallen out of love with RWB a little bit. Many builds nowadays are just wide with big wings and an outrageous paint job. Shiny Disco cars for fame and attention and the videos to match. Your build is so refreshing. It’s almost like if Porsche did a 964 3.0 RSR from factory, but turned up to 11. Low wing is great compared to the GT2 style items. The Speed Yellow and black touches give a good period correct feel, plus some nice RUF Yellowbird vibes. This is much more a love letter to Porsche as a brand and Nakai’s work. The raw / simple video is also very fitting. This reminds me why I (did) have a soft spot for RWB. Hope the car remains naturally aspirated. Different exhaust with some 964 RS engine bits (flywheel, intake etc) to make it sound and rev nicer, but keep it somewhat reliable at the same time. RS steering wheel and some leather buckets. For wheels I’m rooting for some concave Strosek style wheels with a painted center and a polished lip for a nice retro Fuchs / Teledial throwback mash-up (bit biased as I have standard 17 inch Stroseks on mine). Looking forward to future updates. Donation is for burning some fuel with the 964, making memories with your kids in the back. Regards, Erik
Erik, I appreciate you taking the time to give a very well laid out series of reasons why you liked and then didn’t like RWB. I makes sense to me. I just decided to keep things as simple as possible and most importantly of all balanced. I’m so happy to see this build has resonated so much with people out there and hopefully it helps you appreciate what Nakai has always done. At the end of the day he builds and fits overfenders; color choice, wheels, spoilers, interiors and engines are all the choice of the owners. Nakai’s own style is expessed in cars like Stella Artois and Rotana. And many thanks for the donation, that will be burned up in premium high octane fuel 💛🙏🏻
Dino, this made my day!!! The joy you are experiencing is the joy we all hope to one day achieve with our car builds! Congratulations, your RWB turned out incredible!
Keyboard warriors will always have an opinion and this man's work will always speak for itself. He shows us what owning a vehicle truly means, making it your own and he has done this for many using Porsches as a medium and you can see he applies the utmost respect to the carmaker and the customer alike which is why Porsche has never sent him orders to stop what he does because he pays homage to the brand and it's racing heritage. RWB now and forever!
The work does speak for itself, this is why he gets valid hate...... Anyone with an ounce of fabricating knowledge can see how terrible this is Also nobody who genuinely appreciates the brand would let him do it to their classic 911
Literally just watched a video talking about Nakai-san and RWB's origins on Hunter's Moon channel, and then this drops. Perfect timing and congrats on the new mods Dino! P.S: Nice to see Nakai-san let your son help out with the process. That's pretty wholesome to see. 😄
Its beautiful to finally see an rwb build without all that cinematic stuff and crowds of rich kids just watching and having a party on the background. Just a build like it has to be, friends in a Garage building a car and sharing that passion. Thanks for such a fresh and authentic video!
I had the pleasure of visiting HQ a number of years back with my uncle. I don't have a Porsche but my uncle does (he's a purist) but I've been a huge fan of RWB for decades and thought it'd be great to visit. Long story short, Nakai was exceptionally kind and we spent a few hours just talking and him showing us different projects and tidbits from around the world. He didn't have to sit down and talk to us the entire time but he did. I told him that it was just an honor to visit and talk to him and he never made it feel like we were じゃまing. Luckily he wasn't actively building anything the day we visited so I'm sure that helped. Congrats on your build Dino! I hope you'll be able to attend an Idler event in the near future and vlog it for us!
The fact that Nankai-San is able to work in a cluttered small disorganized garage with small lifts instead of a huge standing lift and in his pjs not to mention not many power tools is mind blowing I don’t get how he works like that but man is it perfect every time
47:48 I got really emotional. This content is truly a dream for me. MEGA awesome edit, amazing music, and my most beloved JDM people (you Dino, Akira Nakai San, Nojima-san). There is no better JDM content. It’s truly a Christmas gift for me. Thanks, guys. I love you. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I'm so happy to see this and in one bumper video no less! I hope this blows up for you because you really documented it in an honest, interesting and personal way. You definitely took the drama out of it and just made it feel like something special and significant for you. Obviously Alec's superb b-roll always helps. Have been massively enjoying your content so it's great to see you get a big win like this, and get to live vicariously a little bit via this video. I love that you didn't go crazy wide; the presence is fantastic without feeling comical and your choice of spoiler is great. I actually think dark wheels with all the black hardware looks fantasic.
What’s wild to me about this is…he is so sure of his work and where to align the body panels that it only takes him once. Not too many mistakes or no mistakes at all. A master. He’s just amazing.
This was so cool to watch, the easy narrative, chill vibe, hearing the tools themselves, refreshing! Awesome Dino! Cheers from Los Angeles!! BTW, awesome track for the closing, @55:10
I found myself anxiously checking the video progress bar after I had inhaled 40 minutes, thinking "don't let him do a split into two videos now, I want to see it finish" and was very relieved when 20 minutes left were displayed. Very likeable video, great editing. certainly a chunk to digest when the saw blade goes through the rear fender, but well worth it. ✌️Nakai-san is still down to earth - after all these years. Very sympathetic. Congratulations on your new classic RWB finally!
He is definitely a humble master at what he does!! 32:40 I knew he’d have the garage door all the way down while working on the rear L/P…😂 but he knows a guy 😉
Welcome to the family Dino!! I love seeing all the positive comments from the private build. THIS is how builds truly are. The public build videos are great, but don’t capture the true essence of his work like this one. Great work. Welcome to the family!! 💛
congrats dino! car turned out super awesome! 49:56 that money shot! the "borrowed" wheels do look good too! as with engine, stay NA but with bigger displacement (3.8), with ITB and manual swap. golden! definitely living the dream dino!
I always lol at the "purist" thing. Im a through and through Porsche enthusiast and owner and love this stuff. The ability to do what you want with your car is what makes this hobby so great. Congrats on the build, its stunning!
WOW I can't believe what I've just watched, the attention to detail, the utmost professionalism, and all done by one man only, you Dino must be frothing with the outcome ❤
When I saw Nakai-san tell and showed your son to remove the silicone I wasn't emotionally ready for it. As a Father myself I would have been in tears watching that. That touch alone took the sentimental value through the heavens. As other have said this is refreshing to see, Nakai-san just working no spectacle, no hoard of folks, just an artist and his tools at work. Bravo Dino! Congrats!
Finally!! this is amazing Dino. I have not seen a build like this for quite awhile, really like this video. Congratulations and enjoy your RWB🎉🎉 Chin (RWBThailand)
Congratulations Dino ! It must be a dream come true ! I couldn't stop smiling watching the video, your channel really has become a monument of japanese automotive content over months. I can't wait to see what's next, wish you the best man !
I dont think I would be able to watch my own car get cut up like that, but the end result is absolutely incredible!! This and the r34 makes for one killer garage
Honestly, the best part on RWB is not the cars, they look amazing, but Nakai-san brings a whole damn vibe with him that is just unmatched, he basically builds cars wearing a PJ and just appears completely chill, completely in his world, he cuts almost freehand, no guideline.
Best RWB video ever ! I don’t like RWB but this build is different. Is more real and with family. I can feel the emotion when you mentioned “no going back now “ and how you turned your hard earned cash into something you like. Keep up the good work. National TV show level.
Nakai San truly creates masterpieces from simple sculptures and I love how they finish the whole car off with a paint correction polish. What people often don't realise is that even with the oversized body pieces bolted on, you can still see that it's a 964. Nakai San has perfected this art of a seamless transition from the classic 964 silhouette with the RWB addition.
Good work man- I’ve seen so many over-produced videos on his work… when the car, the man, and his garage and watching the process unfold is enough. Simple and elegant, clean shots… beautiful video.
Amazing! I was a bit skeptic that you went for a RWB build, but this is stunning. The new wing is amaing, long and flat. Props on the build! Can't wait to see the final ver. ort the 964
What a great build. Didnt feel like i was watching a grand spectacle. Just a dope car being built! Remember being a kid in the earlier 2000s seeing these in magazines
Congratulations on a fantastic looking car. I much prefer the second set of wheels. Really nice to share such a great moment with your son 👍 I will be waiting to get a 1:18 scale model of this car.
@12:00 Nakia-san please wear a mask, that fiber glass dust can’t be good for you. i know you smoke but we’d like to have artists like you around for a long time!
Most people fly Nakai san to their garages so he can do the work. How awesome it is to be able to watch him work at his native shop! The man is truly a master. Car looks amazing now! Thanks for sharing this video.
Dino absolutely amazing vid and what an opportunity to document and have your sick Porsche turned into a RWB masterpiece by a true artist and legend in the automotive industry looks amazing now you gotta make the engine match the body with either a built motor or fat turbo great work as always 👍
Wow, it’s a monster! Love it! Thanks for sharing it in this way. Enjoy your RWB😎 Goodbumps when you pulled the sticker around 47.00 and ‘your’ song came in.
Spent my hour lunch break listening to power tools as Nakai built this car. Wasn't prepared for a wholesome ep with the kids too. Congrats dino car looks awesome and even better the kids got to be apart of it all.
Congrats man, I think all the RWB enthusiasts who have been following Nakai over the years and seeing his work that you've covered as his brand has transcended the globe all appreciate that you now get to enjoy your very own! Fantastic coverage as always 💯👍
Congrats Mr.Dino, I've been busy on work so no time to watch yt anymore, and now u got 66k+ viewers within 4days + RWB that you've been talking about!!
You did a great job capturing this process, Dino. Very intimate and very cinematic, definitely the best I've seen. You've just experienced about half of the worlds population of Porsche enthusiasts ultimate dream. The car came out great and we can't wait to see the new shoes and final product. 😁👏
I’m a video editor and really appreciate the simplicity in your video. Watching the Master do his thing without loud music, effects, transitions or interruptions with narrations. It was different style of video, but much entertaining. Congrats on the build, looks awesome. All the best.
Such an honest and ‘raw’ view of one of a Master of his craft at work. The best build I’ve seen yet. And while the car looks glorious at the end and is a special moment, the real moment was when Nakai San was guiding Goya through helping him remove the tape. That moment will be in your son’s head and heart for the rest of his life. And when the boys (and you) finished removing the windscreen strip….. and they asked ‘what does it say?’ 🙏🏻 You must be so proud of the car and the process you’ve been directly part of 👊🏻
Wow, I feel like I was a part of history just watching this. Thanks for taking us along for the ride, thanks to Nakai-san and his helpers for allowing us to see and document the art. I have a whole new respect for his work. Simply Stunning.
My favorite part is watching you get your kids involved and seeing how happy you are after waiting such a long time to make that dream come true. super happy for you man :D
This was incredible to watch. It was such an intimate experience and I really felt like I was there in the garage with you. I’m glad you went with the more “ understated” kit. As a fellow pcar owner, bravo!!! 🎉❤
truly an amazing dude working on your car, saw him a few times in canada and he’s truly a awesome gentleman. remember he built a vert 993 for a buddy of mine. was pretty insane seeing him work on it. can’t wait to see what wheels you decide to get on this car. cheers dino!!
Finally a full build video, 🙌 🙏 now everyone can actually see the work being done and how good that man is with kids. It's not chewing gum and tape that gets these together, it's definitely hard work and friendship that make this a good build and a good video.
best video i've seen . No distractions. You can see the quality in his work. The hate on that silicon usage is unwarranted because you can it looks proper after application. not just a black smudge . lol.
Forget all the abroad fabricated cars. Nakai San at home in his christmas pyjama 😅. Legendary ❤ Love it. With your sons assistance the car is even more special. How calm and relaxed Nakai San guided him. Respect! Now enjoy the yellowbird Dino. You did the right decision!
Man, that one shot during the first drive where the sunlight hits was superb. Really enjoyed this one and even with the kidos taking part in the build process. Wholesome stuff 🙌🏽
Guys, this video is absolutely incredible. All those drone shots, the scenes in Nakai-san's garage, and that moment with the kid at the end - it really brings so much life to the video. I truly enjoyed watching it, you guys are awesome!
It just looks sooo goood idc what people have to say about Nakai. At the end of the day. Nakai chose a platform that was already good and made it better
such a sweet video of the whole process, it’s nice you finally could see your dream car built and support a friend after sonmany years 👌🏼🙏🏼 and the wheels look crazy good with this fitment cant wait to see what the works like be!
Wow. This is the best video on RWB I've seen. That the cars look so correct with him simply eye-balling and not measuring to the mm is a testament to his craft. I love the vibe and your car came out looking amazing! I wouldn't even bother with the transmission swap as it is a perfect cruiser as-is. Thank you for sharing this!
Congratulations Dino, I'm so happy for you and grateful for those 57 minutes well spent to kick off my weekend. From one enthusiast dream-builder to another; enjoy the ride. Much love from California.
Absolute pleasure watching a living legend and artist in action, felt for you on that first cut Dino ..Great job ,the car looks Dino..mite 👌..hopefully it will have the power to match the looks ...500 bhp should be efficient 👍🧿
Your are a skilled content generator. Your take on this modification to your car is so personal, honest and sensitive to the Nakai-San. I prefer your approach to documenting your build to all the other WRB scene driven installations. Enjoy YOUR car the way YOU want it. Congrats.
I’ve seen RWB builds on RUclips with cinematic reel but your vlog build with nakai is like two friends just working on a car
I appreciate that!
More like, that one friend who's able to do everything on a car, and the second one who's doing all the talking and saying "whew, we did a great job" haha
sure
Yeah i agree. Some years ago These cinematic rwb build were very cool, but now i am kinda fed up by them
True ✊️
Don't think I've seen Nakai san interacting with kids before, seems like a wholesome soul
He’s awesome!
He amazing, which is why it get under my skin when people put him down for no reason.
does he have kids?
@@SVPSkinshe likes to built specially tuned cars as well.
First time I've heard him talk too lol
Hands down the best RWB build I've seen on RUclips. No posers, wannabe's, or groupies hanging around. A nice guy and his kids, having fun together with their friends. So cool. Not to mention a seriously cool car... Good on ya, Mr Carbonara!

Best RWB video ever ! I don’t like RWB but this build is different. Is more real and with family. I can feel the emotion when you mentioned “no going back now “ and how you turned your hard earned cash into something you like. Keep up the good work. National TV show level.
Thank you so much 🫶🏻
Bye bye metal, hello fiberglass! To each their own. Congrats on achieving your dream! Cheers
Congratulations on your RWB. 🎉
Thank you so much, too kind! 💛💛💛
LMFAO 😂
@@racingjimmerbrokie comment who likes his own comment...lmao 🤓
Good work man- I’ve seen so many over-produced videos on his work… when the car, the man, and his garage and watching the process unfold is enough. Simple and elegant, clean shots… beautiful video.
Simple is always best. Glad you thought to!
Amazing! I was a bit skeptic that you went for a RWB build, but this is stunning. The new wing is amaing, long and flat. Props on the build! Can't wait to see the final ver. ort the 964
💛
Thanks smiled the entire time
Thank you so much 🙏
Can confirm the tee shirts are absolutely top quality! Will be buying more
Appreciate the support! 🙏
Always fun to see a professional just plugging away at things. Calms the mind.
Wow truly beautiful work and what a wonderful man. Congratulations
What a great build. Didnt feel like i was watching a grand spectacle. Just a dope car being built! Remember being a kid in the earlier 2000s seeing these in magazines
Congrats looks amazing man!😍
Thank you! 🙏
Congratulations on a fantastic looking car. I much prefer the second set of wheels.
Really nice to share such a great moment with your son 👍
I will be waiting to get a 1:18 scale model of this car.
Thank you so much 🙏💛
@12:00 Nakia-san please wear a mask, that fiber glass dust can’t be good for you. i know you smoke but we’d like to have artists like you around for a long time!
Most people fly Nakai san to their garages so he can do the work. How awesome it is to be able to watch him work at his native shop! The man is truly a master. Car looks amazing now! Thanks for sharing this video.
Thanks for watching! 💛
you should have got yellow glasses
I do but they are sun glasses lol
yes but it would have added to the cinematic effect
Dino absolutely amazing vid and what an opportunity to document and have your sick Porsche turned into a RWB masterpiece by a true artist and legend in the automotive industry looks amazing now you gotta make the engine match the body with either a built motor or fat turbo great work as always 👍
Auto garage Tbk in my opinion has the best looking kit
He dropped the ball. Could've made something different, yet he wanted to have the middest treatment for his 911.
@Franface31 his car he can do whatever his heart desires don't give sht to him, personally I don't hate his rwb dino has taste
Prefer the TBK setup 964 that was featured months ago by Dino's channel: ruclips.net/video/X4rbE-QfiPI/видео.htmlsi=VKhgXpiBhpdIwCPz
@@Franface31Well you do what you want with your 911 and post it
Wow, it’s a monster! Love it! Thanks for sharing it in this way. Enjoy your RWB😎
Goodbumps when you pulled the sticker around 47.00 and ‘your’ song came in.
🫶🏻
wow you even got scooby doo christmas pyjama pants
Thank you for all the raw footage, no music or overproduction!
No rust protection on the cutting lines???
He did @44:49
bathroom silicone
There are No Words that can explain how Great of an Artist Nakai is in many different ways. More than a Legend. He’s a Yoda.
The areas he cut on the body wont they rust? Or is something sprayed over it.
He sprayed mine with Würth undercoat
by far the most satisfying EWB conversion video that I watched!!! Kudos!!!
💛💛💛
This was so amazing and touching, I was in tears at the end, Dino & Alec. Thank you so much for all your hard work, passion and creativity.
💛 And thank you for all the support 🙏💛🫶🏻
Spent my hour lunch break listening to power tools as Nakai built this car. Wasn't prepared for a wholesome ep with the kids too. Congrats dino car looks awesome and even better the kids got to be apart of it all.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Congrats man, I think all the RWB enthusiasts who have been following Nakai over the years and seeing his work that you've covered as his brand has transcended the globe all appreciate that you now get to enjoy your very own! Fantastic coverage as always 💯👍
Thanks man! 🙏🏻
💛
I’m a video editor and really appreciate the simplicity in your video. Watching the Master do his thing without loud music, effects, transitions or interruptions with narrations. It was different style of video, but much entertaining. Congrats on the build, looks awesome. All the best.
🙏🏻
Best RWB build on RUclips. Fantastic video.
Thank you so much 💛💛💛
@@dino_dc Enjoy your beautiful car!!!
Really cool to see Nakai-San working in his own workshop environment for a change. You must be so happy with the build.
It was a dream come true! 🙏
Amazing work ethic, so focused and no bs. Real craftsman.
This was so amazing and truly and wonderful memory to have the GOAT create another work of art. Congrats
Thank you so much!
And when the boys (and you) finished removing the windscreen strip….. and they asked ‘what does it say?’ 🙏🏻
You must be so proud of the car and the process you’ve been directly part of 👊🏻
Special moments indeed. I’m forever grateful ☺️
Wow, I feel like I was a part of history just watching this. Thanks for taking us along for the ride, thanks to Nakai-san and his helpers for allowing us to see and document the art. I have a whole new respect for his work. Simply Stunning.

41:30 Melted my heart … they will remember this forever !
💛💛💛
That is like the most wholesome and personal build i saw from nakai-san! She's a beaut! Congrats!
I appreciate that! 🙏
My favorite part is watching you get your kids involved and seeing how happy you are after waiting such a long time to make that dream come true. super happy for you man :D
It was a very special weekend that’s for sure. 💛
Everything he does is just individually hand-crafted, just as we would be doing in our home garages. Awesome work! 👍
Congratulations, Dino. Truly a build for the history books and having the kids around makes it that much more special. Living the dream!
Appreciate that!
This was incredible to watch. It was such an intimate experience and I really felt like I was there in the garage with you. I’m glad you went with the more “ understated” kit. As a fellow pcar owner, bravo!!! 🎉❤
I appreciate that 💛💛💛
truly an amazing dude working on your car, saw him a few times in canada and he’s truly a awesome gentleman. remember he built a vert 993 for a buddy of mine. was pretty insane seeing him work on it. can’t wait to see what wheels you decide to get on this car. cheers dino!!
Finally a full build video, 🙌 🙏 now everyone can actually see the work being done and how good that man is with kids. It's not chewing gum and tape that gets these together, it's definitely hard work and friendship that make this a good build and a good video.
Indeed 💛💛💛
best video i've seen . No distractions. You can see the quality in his work. The hate on that silicon usage is unwarranted because you can it looks proper after application. not just a black smudge . lol.
Congrats. It transformed your car. It took a somewhat vanilla yellow car to the next level. You have to be very pleased.
Sure am!
BRAVO DINO!! You really deserve all your success, brother! I’m ecstatic for you!
🙏🏻💛🙏🏻
Between you and your Porsche and Larry and his GTR, it's very cool to see the old Speedhunters getting their dream cars refreshed.
Absolutely stunning. Can’t wait to see it with your choice of wheels
Looks great Dino. I’m so happy for you. Congratulations!

Thanks, appreciate the kind words! 🙏🏻
Appreciate it! 🙏🏻
Thank you, really appreciate it! 🙏🏻
I noticed Nik uses a soft pad washer on his drill to prevent the drill chuck hitting and scratching the fresh paint, that’s a great tip 👍
Thanks for sharing the built It was amazing 😍 also the kids got in on the built as well It was truly amazing. Pure Art 💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥🔥🔥😎👍
Congratulations Dino, I'm so happy for you and grateful for those 57 minutes well spent to kick off my weekend. From one enthusiast dream-builder to another; enjoy the ride. Much love from California.
Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
Absolute pleasure watching a living legend and artist in action, felt for you on that first cut Dino ..Great job ,the car looks Dino..mite 👌..hopefully it will have the power to match the looks ...500 bhp should be efficient 👍🧿
its soo cool seeing Nakai working on the car, so much done in just a day by himself 😮
Your are a skilled content generator. Your take on this modification to your car is so personal, honest and sensitive to the Nakai-San. I prefer your approach to documenting your build to all the other WRB scene driven installations. Enjoy YOUR car the way YOU want it. Congrats.
🙏💛🙏
