I got my surron last Jan. I rode all winter in the snow. Just be mindful of corrosion. Since I lost my 12V power due to corrosion on the soldered connections.
Will have a look at that. Maybe the salty roads caused it rather than the snow don’t you think? I don’t use the 12V anyways. I was thinking of removing the converter altogether.
What ever happened to the tire, did you fix it? You definitely need a snow trax kit thing dude. Weird the gopro did that I’ve never had that happen before
Hey man. Do you mean the brake? Nothing happened with the tyre during that ride (as far as I recall…). But yeah I would love to be able to try the snow kit. Would really need to try one before bying. Otherwise I'm thinking about studded tyres! Yeah that was the first time the GoPro behaved like that, WEIRD.
@@MTO_Brothers That snow kit made some noises i didnt like and no suspension?? idk about that but i do know for a fact studded tires are sick and will take u any where!
Whoa! Amazing, wouldn't even attempt until I saw this video. Now I'm motivated. Is your Sur Ron completely stock, if not what mods did you do to handle the snow?
The SR has been modified, but it can handle the snow no problem in its stock form. The best upgrade regarding snow is proper tyres with deep knobbies and some pegs that actually grip! Here's our full list of upgrade ruclips.net/video/CiMhplCUJ14/видео.html
As long as you start with a warm battery, it doesn’t have such an impact on range as using the battery makes the cells heat up. This holds for temps up to +/- 10C
Front is MTB standard, rear there are some people that start doing aftermarket brakes and some that modify MTB discs. It's all doable but not as easy as the front one.
The 19" are my goto wheels are they are more playful. Here I was going to ride the bike park, hence flow trails where the nimbler the bike the better. But I use the "enduro" setup for gnarly terrain with my enduro pals. A the moment my brother is using it!
It depends on many factors. I have made a video on the subject ruclips.net/video/i3mxqE-7VIE/видео.html Nevertheless, like almost everything on this bike, the battery can be upgraded 😉
It works perfect, plus altitude has no effect on output power with electric motors. After this kind of ride it just needs a chain lubrication and a quick suspension lube, that's it. Recharge & repeat 🤘
@@MTO_Brothers thanks a lot man, i live in Poland and winter here lasts 6 months, i think i will get this for a daily work ride, hope it lasts ^^ sure looks like it can rip
Im in France so I’d say the coldest I’d face. Honestly I think the coldest I went out was -10C. But you guys in Canada have more extreme temperatures. Some guys in Canada wrap the battery to keep it warm. In any case, as long as you don’t leave it sit in the cold for hours, you won’t do any harm to it. Worst case the battery depletes faster. Just make sure to start with a “warm” battery. Then while riding the cells create heat so should be good.
Hello friend, I am thinking of buying a sur rum, could you tell me if what you do in the bideo is with the stock battery? Or what modifications have you made? Thank you!!
Sorry mate I forgot to put all the upgrades in the description. I changed a few parts (mainly suspensions, brakes, controller and battery). The battery I'm using is more powerful but doesn't have more capacity than the stock one. So with the stock bike I would have been able to do the same ride.

Amazing place for riding! Wow
Yes it is man! I'm in love with this place 💯
Absolute beast! Surron is light years ahead of other ebikes
It still has a confortable advantage but competition is coming and this is great for the community as a whole!
Vraiment chouette la Clusaz en sur-ron, ça donne grave envie !
Oui j'adore ce spot. C'est beau, c'est fun et les gens sont sympas, on en demande pas plus !
Very fun to watch your videos. Keep recording!
This Sur Ron seems like a lot of fun!
It definitely is!
@@MTO_Brothers did you ever try CZEM drill one evo and compared it to Sur Ron?
I like when you got the trails to your self! Sick!
Yeah that's the best feeling. Nature and trails just for yourself :)
First snow of the year? Nice!!
Super area ! Cheers from ProEbieks - Surron battery manufacturer.
Cheers Rafal 🤟
that's amazing location sick content never seen the Sur-Ron in snow in the mountains cheers! Subbed!!
Thanks mate, glad to know you like the content 🤟
The track kit is a lot of fun! Probably even more fun with your 72v, we're running 60v at around 8-10kw and they are still a lot of fun to ride!
I’m going to have to get one at some point, if it wasn’t for the price, I’d have one by now already!
Nice spot 👍

@@MTO_Brothers we don't use salt in my area. We use ground up volcanic rock.
@@05rc51ryan so yep, that’s definitely the snow that corrode your connectors then.
Still waiting for Snow here. I guess i have to stick with mud and leaves for the moment.
Great video though

Nice video! These snowy hillclimbs eats up the battery very fast.
Yeah they do.
I did something like 20kms but the rear wheel did that 5 or 6 times at least hahaha!

Have you tried grip studs or specific winter tires before?? Thx
Never tried but it’s really something that I want to try
Belle vidéo sa acroche quand même sur la neige ! Vs êtes en taille d'origine pneu ? Toujours av le contrôleur nuclar ou X ?
Oui toujours avec le Nucular et roues de 19" mais pas les pneus d'origine.
