Photoshop Textures on to Editable Text in Seconds!

Another shortcut: hold alt/option and hover over the line between the texture and text layers so the cursor changes to a down arrow and square, then click to drop it in the same.
I often forget about blending modes, so I still learned something today. Thanks!

What if you are trying to add not so heavy textures, such as dust & noise textures, it seems like this doesn't work as well because you cant really see the texture?
