Hi. Love the video. Regarding your hoodie, put a small safety pin at the end of the string and push it in through the hole. It takes a while but it works every time. 👍
This is by far one of the easiest to follow lighting tutorials out there, thank you so so so much. The other tutorials went way too fast and never showed which buttons to use. i really appreciate this video and how you explain things
BROTHER I'm an interior design student and I photoshop a lot of my renders, right. This [ ] shortcut for changing the brush size just saved my life. You just saved my life.
I know its been a few years but... 0:09 The way I do it is, I put a plastic straw in another plastic straw, then add another and another until I end up with a big straw. Then I put the straws inside one hole of the hoodie and push until the end of the big straw is out. Then I take a souvlaki stick (without the meat) and poke the string into the long straw I made, until it comes out the other end. It's the fastest and easiest way to do it
To get the strings back in you can use a long dowel stick and tie the one end of your hoodie string to it and guide it through as you pull the other hoodie hole helping guide the dowel stick through your string holes until it pops out. You can usually pick them up at your Home Depot or Hardware stores in various measurements. Hope that helps! 👍🏼
I don’t know if anybody answered your string question in the beginning of the video but I usually attach a bobby pin to the string and I string it through kind of like an anchor
Attach safety pin/paperclip (whichever is handy) to the string. Squeeze the fabric accordion-like to push the contraption through in small increments. :)
So cool! I don't know if I've ever paid attention to that top blending modes option box. I usually go choose something from the list on the left. I'll definitely play with this now. Thanks Dansky!
So sorry if you’ve already shown this, and I know this vid was two years ago, but do you have any tips on how to make the light flicker/ glow? For instance, a candle or lamp :) many thanks! 🙏
@@ForeverDansky oh yes, I meant as a short video or gif. But now I’m realising that’s probably something better to do in After Effects… do you think? 🙈
Tie a paper clip to the end of the hoodie string. Then feed it in one end and work it around with your fingers as you scrunch up the material and then pull the paperclip through. Takes some time, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be done in no time.
than you for the tutorial. question - why i move hue slide my color does not change much? it was orange ish and all other colors were as well. I could not get the blue one at all. Thanks
i need to ask seeing as how you've made a tutorial. When I change the blend mode to color dodge, the whole image changes colour, not just the brushed part. Have you skipped something there?
What other secrets do you keep? The people want to know…
...sometimes I have dreams about Photoshop 😂
@@ForeverDansky 🤣 hopefully peachy ones...?
Saaame
@@ForeverDansky are we cringin' yet ?
To get the string back in your hoodie, put a safety pin on one end of string. Fish the safety pin through the hoodie hole.
Thank you for sharing this technique. It makes it so much easier and it looks great.
You are so welcome!

That's a cool one. And it teaches me clearly, I should more often play around with all that checkboxes 😉
Nice tut bruh... thnks. Helped me enough....

The colorize checkbox on the hue/saturation would help that a lot as well.

Lol I so agree that I’ve been down that list and nothing works exactly as I want it. But can’t wait to try this tip.
Attach safety pin/paperclip (whichever is handy) to the string. Squeeze the fabric accordion-like to push the contraption through in small increments. :)

Hey no worries! Did you mean flicker/glow, as in animating this in Photoshop?
@@ForeverDansky oh yes, I meant as a short video or gif. But now I’m realising that’s probably something better to do in After Effects… do you think? 🙈
Hi bro! Thank you for your valuable time for all the design tips...
You can use a safety pin as everyone suggested, but a faster way is to use a straw. Attach the hoodie string inside a straw and feed it through.
Tie a paper clip to the end of the hoodie string. Then feed it in one end and work it around with your fingers as you scrunch up the material and then pull the paperclip through. Takes some time, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be done in no time.
Pretty amazing! Thanks Dansky!

Dansky, where can I find the photo??
Attach the string to a safety pin (that is thin enough to go through the channelling) and feed through the channel and out the other side! :-D
Love you
Nice video....

use like a bendable metal wire and pull it through
@dansky may i ask what is your full-time profession?

Hoodie strings are terrible, you should be thanking your children. Everytime I buy a hoodie first thing I do it pull out the string.
