Nice tutorial but i guess it's but tricky for beginners as I've been doing photo manipulation for long this this video is very useful but as i said for any beginner im sure they gonna face problems while practicing....so for anyone who's learning to make realistic lighting and highlights i strongly recommend them to use any 3d software or find real image that matches the direction of light that you want in your image.

It is even more hard you can simply create hue and saturation layer and colourize it and simple add layer mask and paint the edges with soft bursh
