FAMILY PLANNING...OUR PREFERRED CHOICES

- Let’s talk family planning today 👶🏽👶🏽👶🏽
Different couples prefer to use different family planning methods: from long-acting reversible contraception, such as the implant or IUDs to hormonal contraception, such the pill or the injection. Some couples even choose to use barrier methods (condoms), emergency contraception, fertility awareness and permanent contraception, such as vasectomy and tubal ligation when they decide they’re completely done with kids.
We’re here today talking about how we handle our family planning business.
What’s your preferred family planning method and how well does it work for you?
We also pose a question to you - who do you think the responsibility of family planning should lie on?
Thank you all for watching today! Share your comments and thoughts on this video with us @bumploveug across all social media.

Pumla for president. Love her mindset!
Rachel mwine is really strong ❣️
My "safe days" baby is turning 10 months old!!!! Needless to say,I got the IUD inserted 6 weeks after delivery.I can not entertain any other surprise
How has the IUD worked for you? I'm about to deliver my first and I'm exploring my options. And I'm leaning towards an IUD.
@@notongacheta107 It was my first option because it's non hormonal and so far so good.My period is a little heavier than before but other than that it's great!!! My sex life is stress free.
Family planning with Jesus works very well to those who have faith 😄shd u hv any doubt then, you are definitely finished😁
@@winniewainaina3143 sounds good to me. Although I'm slightly concerned about having heavier periods because mine are already so heavy with unbearable cramps. I'm praying for better luck after baby is born.
@@notongacheta107 If the period bleeding becomes too much then you just have it removed. Too much bleeding can make you anaemic.
Thanks for sharing ladies,
About permanent methods, I considered that after baby number 2, but my gynea said NO! That I was too young to make that decision.
And here iam now, with baby number 3 at 6months.... He's so adorable!
I'm a single woman exploring my options way beforehand. I am very cautious of contraceptives and it's encouraging to hear the fertility planning is an option that actually works. thank you!
Pumla, pumla,I loooooooovvvvveeeee you, your so truthful and thank you
But Manuella , one day u will break my ribs. Thanks all the team Bumb love u doing a great role.
Interesting group of ladies.. Rachel, all my love to you. Receive that baby in Jesus's Name.
Amen, thank you❤
I've re-watched this show. I first watched it soon as it came out, then i had my 4th baby and went to my Gyn to ask about my options. I saw two doctors at the same facility and the first i saw said he can't do a BTL before 40. Then i went back and saw now my Gyn and he said as long as you sign consent, he's happy to. He said a lot of that school of thought is about the Doctor's personal school of thought or their personal beliefs.
Pumula is really open... And thanks ladies for the topic. It is so helpful
Pamula you have given me hope, my son too is 11, doesn't have any sibling yet still waiting on God. Rachel you are such a strong lady, God will make a way!

Thank you for this brave and hilarious episode ladies.
I've learnt so much and can also relate with some of your stories.
Racheal, God speed to you sweet lady.
Thank you❤
YOU GUYS ARE SO COOOL im following all of you
Wow. Thanks ladies for being super honest with us. Just like Rachel, my mom was so against the "foreign" birth control methods, that she advised I don't. So had to download a tracking App which has been a lot of help. My son is 18 months now and we are trying for a 2nd.
Oh yes, I was warned too about birth control methods. Yay baby number 2, all the best.
Naye Pumla!! I like your assertive views. Great contributions from all the ladies. I like to watch your talk shows. You are respectively to each other and you each try to avoid talking over each other.
This was amazing ladies, my gal is 3months and am going for IUD I don't want to get the same mistake i got
I really love you ladies and today team Pumla huuuu I hv never been on any family planning method though single for 8yrs now
Very informative, entertaining. Pumla and Mandela are crazy 😜
family planning is a combined effort. Discuss and agree.
Omg ladies this was so great . Am soon getting married and I don’t want to have kids now.
But I have been using pills for some 5 years and it works for me.
U are not just beautiful ladies, but very intelligent and informative. 👌👍👍
I love yo honesty.
Good topic ladies!
Ladies thank you for the show. I always look forward to these episodes. Please in the next episode also discuss about the issues that come with IUD; I have heard of people who still conceive even with it and then challenges of the strings falling off, or the iud getting out of its position due to having a heavy flow etc so that people don't leave thinking that its 100 percent perfect. In my case though it is working perfectly well though, but I know that there are those exceptions to the general rule.
Hello Namanya. On the next episode, a specialist will tackle this. Watch out for it.
Do not worry of the strings gs getting off,it can still function 100% well.. u can have t with or without the strings... pipo who conceive on IUDs are those that DOOCH cz t displaces the IUD or even have the IUD while pregnant
Rossetti resembles one of my sisters. Such a beauty. 🥰
Weldon ladies.
I totally agree with you Pumla. You must know the number of children you want.
Manuella is twisted 😂😂😂 I’m literally on the floor rolling 🤣🤣🤣
Great discussion
Love you ladies....this show is so 😍 ➕ some looking good.
Pumlah🙌🙌🙌😄😄..love yah .....and all the ladies love you. Thanks for sharing
And studies show vasectomy is reversible so men should not worry ,more contraceptive methods are needed for them as they hardly think of the consequences.
I've also celebrated my periods often...esp the tension that comes with fertility awareness methods
I love Pumla so much that am making most of my life choices basing on her story. Am intending to be a single mom and is she did it, I can too. These men are just not good people. Thank you for confirming that singel motherhood is not as bad as they term it to be
Sometimes I feel like am related to Pamela. The experience is so alike. I love her honesty , i just like her, I love u ladies.
Rachel prayers for with u
How I love the early birds! Great topic. I love your openness. 💕💕. Looking forward to one about cultural practices; good and bad.
They actually tackled this 😊
Please share the title of the episode or you're meaning" out pulling stories" . But I meant a comprehensive one. We've many cultures and bump love ladies stand out because atleast Uganda is well represented from all corners, including guests.
@@lilianmukisa3291 we'd be glad to do a topic and maybe host mothers from different regions. May you please share with us the examples of cultural practices in regards to raising children/parenting that you have in mind.
@@pumlanabachwa8668 thanks Pumla for the responses.
1. I would love to start with " the origin of giving names e.g in acholi culture where the're names are given like onenchan, opiyo, etc. Am a Madi and parents give names mostly due to circumstances they face at that moment. This has led to some of us thinking of changing of our names when we grow up or choose a different meaning according to the knowledge. My name Lindrio means no shade but I chose" this world is not my home". Another example is Santa of arapapa from "Anzoyo" to "Anzo" as once seen from a newspaper, can't remember the year. Of late people around me believe that meaning of names follow.
2. Am also looking forward to watching an episode with the bump love ladies either dressed in cultural outfits or share pics.
manueala maueala, your really fun to watch, thnaks for the topic
Glad yo give you some laughter.
good topic however check out on challenges women face while using these family planning methods please
Yes, I agree
Thanks for this. We have a specialist coming on the next episode who speaks about this in detail. Watch the space.
I can't wait to hear what the specialist says.
i love you.you make me teeth. you ladies are everything
I admire u ladies.
Most gynaecologist are afraid of doing permanent family planning method when you are young because they know you might not be ready for that commitment or you might regret when you are older and need to have more babies, they also need consent from both partners to avoid being sued later if one partner decide that they want to expand their family, not knowing whether the other partner did a permanent method of family planning.
This makes sense when the lady is actually in a legally bounded relationship. What is your view for a single woman?
@@pumlanabachwa8668 still I'd not encourage it...if u followed at one time Dr,Ssali of fertility clinic bukoto was sharing about a lady who did it after two kids minus the consent of her hubby, then along the way power shocked both kids to death so since the Lady hadn't told the hubby about her tube tying n even bfo this tragedy the hubby kept on wanting more kids with her n all she said is she was trying too...yet in real sense she knew what she had done...
So as they were in the mourning process, hubby says thank God we both are alive n can have more kids, wife wept the most cz of what she had done silently so she shares it with Dr ssali about what she had done bfo,He says he told her he was just trying but there was no guarantee that it'd work out,n actually just did it as an offer at no cost cz of the couple z story...she eventually got only one kid n that was it... So Dr was advising pipo NOT to do it... Unless its between life n death...
Sorry for the long post tho
@@bagagarebekah6687 thanks for the share.
@@pumlanabachwa8668 welcome my dear, hope u c their side of the whole thing...

Pumla , I love the way you look at things. You look at things in real life . And I love the I about you not WE.
Woow this was soo interesting @ Manuela i can identify 😂😂😂 i hated condom and withdraw too thou
Meet my online sis. *wink
I have had the exact same experience as Pumla in Uganda, two different institutions said the same, I was too young, “come back at a certain age,” and they looked me in the eye and said I needed consent from a husband, even though I was single.
I have laughed banange kika buka , I have done it all like manuella, but now I relie on prayers hahahaha
Recheal pliz try neogenesis fertility center. Dr.Rujumba Davis
you can also find him at either nakasero hospital or kampala hospital or mulago.
This conversation 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love Pulma!
Use IUD it's so great no deffects so far
hope your not just advertising the iud thing coz am scared of family planning
Manuella you are so real
People like you make it easy for us to share our stories and be real with you
😂😂 Eeh Manuella😂😂 I love u all ladies❤❤
I love you Pumla :-)
Swrhrt come to Mariestopes Ug u will have your choice offered...BTL is about the women's choice
I'm the first viewer! Yeeey
YAAAY
I aways say i only wanted 2 children..and i have 2 children a son and a daughter...and i was very, very sick...with both pregnancy...and after having my daughter i told my husband at the time...im not having a another child...so i waited 7 years to have my son...and den i tied my tubes...at 28 years old, and my doctor didn't want to do it...he said i was too young..but i told him...i don't want to have any more children..because i was too sick...my husband at the time didn't agree neither, but i didn't care...i was too sick.
But Nabachwa(okay that part killed me ),in marriage you have to discuss this issue until you come to a conclusion, your body, my body. Family planning in marriage works different from that when your single.
Manuela you are something, you girls I just love you alot
These ladies hihi..I don't know nothing about safe days, besides my periods keep changing.
This is a bold topic
So necessary though. We bring you the topics that most are afraid to publicly talk about.
