A Chicken's Molting Process | How to help your Hens Regrow feathers quickly!

When you see your chickens losing feathers in the fall, it is the start of the time chickens renew their feathers and natural cycle. Losing feathers and re-growing them happens every year after around 18 months of age. The days get shorter and temps start to drop it is time to start supplementing the flock with some extra proteins. Chickens stop laying eggs and use this time to build up their nutrient reserves so they are able to live a healthy life.
