My brother in law got a Hyundai palisade right after we got our Honda pilot. I was so jealous when he did bc it was so much nicer than our pilot. 50k miles later… our pilot requires oil changes and gas. The palisade on the other hand has been quite the story (fuel pump replacement, windows leaking water, engine codes, you name it).

We are looking for a new vehicle and we are torn between the 2023/2024 Pilot and 2023/2024 Palisade. I'm liking the new Pilot a bit more with the removal center seat in the 2nd row and I'm not really a fancy person per se, so I prefer practicality more.

I've got a Kia Forte GT. Although I haven't had a single problem with it, I also know it's a 2 to 3 month wait at both of our local Kia dealerships to get a service appointment because they're swapping so many engines and transmissions under warranty. So even though I've got a great warranty on paper, it would be totally unusable if anything were to happen - I'd be out a car with no loaner for potentially months.

What’s with the stupid 3 row seat obsession. There are 3.13 people in the average family in the USA. The average family size has declined from 3.8 in 1940 to 3.1 by 2021. Yet car reviewers/manufacturers insist on having a 3rd row in crossover; and calling it a “family holler" (BTW - the real meaning of crossover is - glorified minivan). How many families actually have 7-8 people in them? Whose family are they driving around? Not to mention that most of the 3rd row seats are completely uncomfortable, difficult to get to and kill your cargo capacity. Plus they add weight to the vehicle. I’ve seen reviews of vehicles like the Honda Passport, where reviewers are complaining about not having a 3rd row seat. I see that as a benefit!!! Look if you need 7-8 seaters, buy a minivan, trust me these 3 row crossovers aren’t any cooler! At least a minivan is comfortable for all passengers; including your exceptional 5 child family…lol

I can hardly agree with kbb this time on just looking at "luxury" and defining the Korean vehicle the "best". How many years have these two vehicles been on the market? How did it perform on the iihs updated test? Every time I see it fail miserably on the updated test, I have a stronger belief that these Korean auto makers are not making a vehicle, rather they are making a gadget that passes a test that looks like a car. It truly is a rush to put any new vehicle on the top.

Is there a Kia kickback? Palisade and Telluride should be a tie in every comparison unless you're including the reviewer's preference of style. My wife and I have our second palisade and Telluride 2023 models, still zero difference except the power seats in the Palisade's third row. Honestly without looking the only way I know which one I'm in is when I reach for the shifter. Which probably should be a deduction for the Kia as this is extremely outdated and will be gone in a few years. (Hard to let go sometimes)
Got to feel bad for anyone with a new car that has a laundry list of issues. It's no comfort, but it happens in every brand and every model regardless of price. When it happens to you though you will absolutely campaign against that brand or model. For a really fun time you should experience it with the big luxury brands, yikes!

Nissan doesn’t have an identity and has been been propped up by car rental companies.
