maybe if you could select one region to eventually be your capital, once you control enough regions, and you can then build big stuff there like a cathedral or a manor house
i would LOVE multiplayer in the game, if my friend could control a area and i could control mine and we can trade between ares, but 100% after we get NPC cities.
A random map generator and/or a player map maker tool system would extend replayability indefinitely. At present this game is being crowd tested and developed, the above crowd content the game.
I think yeah, of course implement multiplayer but I would love to upgrade certain buildings up to lvl 3 or 4 besides the houses where the people live to. Maybe after the lvl 2 church you can upgrade it to a cathedral and then to a monastery and also many other buildings like the fortifications like there are in no use it would be good to properly use them to defend your town/city like upgrade them as I said before to lvl 3 with having big stone walls where you can put your troops on them and also the watchtowers and your manor to upgrade it to stone keep and for upgrading the defences the attacker who would lay siege on that needs more fire power so implementing siege engines like battering ram , siege towers , catapults and so on those things I would love to be on manor lords
it would be a cool idea if he factored in size expansion of those building upgrades as well, not just vertical, but a cathedral is likely to be much larger than a church and a monastery even more so, like if it highlighted the areas in yellow squares when you're building to show you what the upgraded churches need, but because they're burdensome on the space they take up for so long before they upgrade, maybe they get really good buffs for your town like extra income from tithes to the church, reduction in disease, or cheaper prices at the market when traders align with your religion. Perhaps you could even hire a limited number of knights templars out of the monastery with stacked stats compared to the retinue and in full heavy armor then ignite a crusade where you get + 20% morale +10% attack for 10 minutes so you can claim a land for the church as holy land rather than needing the point system they currently use.
I understand the burnout for the current maps or regions with the current build, but i feel like it would be more beneficial if they focus on the games functionality and content vs. making more maps already.
We need the fighting aspect to be come like bannerlord where u can fight with ur troops on horseback or on foot and control while in first person mode or third person
I would like to see selectable bonuses like Iron & Fields, Meat & Berries, etc. Too often, I enter a map and really hate what I get, so I have to restart. Even having one guaranteed bonus would be preferable to what it is now.
I know it’s unrealistic but i love a beautiful coastline and islands. Id pay for an expansion pack if they do this eventually. Also a southern European version but i guess that wouldn’t be a manor system? Not sure
Would be cool to found a village or town thrue a monastery. Also big rivers with ferryservice as a source for taxes and big bridges as lategame-projects would be awsome.
The people in the town use the wells a lot, in fact if you are building a larger town (north of 100 families say) then it makes sense to put down a few wells. There was even a mention along the way in the patch notes that confirmed villagers will now use the closest well rather than going to the first one that was built.
i'm also very excited about the new maps and hoping for an uptades castle planner! manor lords is the best medieval city builder yet, and the attention to detail continues to amaze me
Would love to see some sort of grand strategy (CK3) integration with ML in the future. Not necessarily the family lineage element but being able to hire, a bailiff for example, from amongst your town folks and getting him to focus on specific tasks. Being able to zoom out much further and engage with territories that are far enough to have different climates. Sending your troops on a long campaign where you need to source resources and materials to survive or sending your trade ships on dangerous sea voyages that can bring exotic goods.
What i want is, 1. Sickness, Unrest and other Internal threats to governance 2. Factions/cultures with some diffrences that affect settlement planning and such. 3. AI Settlements 4. More Upgrade tiers and options
Boats! More lines for the villagers. More animations. Make us be able to go inside houses. So many things could be so cool. Make the player character be able to fight too.
What the game needs? Health, hygien, diseases. It is the medieval period. Even if you do everything right, a contagion from outside can come in and kill of a fair chunk of everyone on the map.
I am so thankful for the developer continuing to develop this game instead of taking the initial influx of cash and dropping it all-together the replay value will be immense I suspect after a couple more updates with added features to the AI, maps, and basic ingredients to the game. I definitely want more focus on the military aspect though, currently it feels like a minigame
We need sieges and other battles, add a year, for example, from 1000 or 1400 it would be cool to choose the time and historical events, the company as a stronghold is a world and military company, bots need to be made more powerful, robbers are weak, and robbers did not attack a large village only on small ones, make a large map, and you do not see other territories of scouts to see what's there what's here. cavalry to do
As you mentioned Manor Lords and Kingdom Come... i had a very similar idea last night as i recently startes to play Ghost of Tsushima and Sengoku Dynasty at the same time... ans well... because of the history both look very similar and Sengoku Dynasty seams a bit like the base building part of Ghost of Tsushima... like if you integrate it its just Fallout 4's settlement mechanic or something... love that. :D
People need to layoff the dev and let him develop the game on his schedule. When this game went to Early Access, the dev was very clear that this is a passion project, let it stay that. It's when people stack pressure on to make more more more that devs either screw up or burn out. Just let the game grow over time.
WHEN you charge a price for a product of course people are invested and want what they paid for, LIFE isnt sunshine and lolliepops and we all float around on clouds in the Sky
Hello! Thank you for the regular and very interesting videos on Manor Lords. I have a question and a request, it seems you have access to the developers, could you ask them to give the ability to continue studying the technology tree even after the settlement reaches the maximum level. And also add the ability to customize the appearance of some buildings, such as the church, manor, tavern. It's boring when all the churches in each city look the same. Thanks in advance.
If it is not game of the year It is the gem of the year for me. I miss the knights and castle variants from the game. but that is all! It is complex but not difficult. I love this!
Should focus on gameloop first. At the moment its more like sim city, so becomes boring really fast. Give us challenges and goals to achieve. Side quests, engaging opponents, bandit behaviors
Real quick, Im currently playing the "Game Preview" version on PC/Game Pass. Does anyone know how much is different/locked/removed compared to Full Release? Id hate to buy the game and have theSAME STUFF not there/open. And before the "just support the Devs and buy the game" comments start lol Ive been burned TOO MANY times on Early Access/Backer games (Friday 13th, Deadliest Catch, Crossroads Inn to name a few) to jump in just yet.
Hate to say it but the only cure to your ailment is… patience. We will have to wait ourselves to see if this game becomes worth paying for in the future. As of this moment… imho… it’s not really.
Not quite. Knives were a personal item and forks weren't always needed because the meat would be cut in bite size pieces and placed in the middle of the table, so one would just take their knife and use it to bring the meat to their plate (unless it was a banquet, where they would be given bread to use as a plate). But I like your comment much better than mine!
Changes needed in Manor Lords: 1. Speed up to 50% grinding process of wheat to flour; 2. Change citizens walking process to running if church bell is ringing with 3 sec intervals or less; 1. Increase cost of upkeeping mercs from 30-50 to 80-150 for both, baron and player; 2. Fix crops system when planted in early spring; 3. Make sausages worth to make with requirements: 1 salt and 5 meat for 10 sausages; 4. Fix market stall counting for food and firewood when plenty available but game doesn’t count it; 5. Fix bug with (selling place) when traders can’t interact with and all crowded outside; 6. Make checkboxes and sliders for helmets, types of armor in army menu where we buy upgrades, so player can adjust amount of items used in selected formation; 7. Make random bandit groups (5-10) appear during winter-spring season when approval drops lower than 40 percent in few random areas of each owned region; 8. Add another zone of working preference for barns and storage to chose where to place stalls or just let player decide where to place stall; 9. Fix bug when items are not supposed to be stored in selected barn but they still do.
Still a boring ass game. They need to make the AI build in their regions and have more than 1 AI for better battles. Still the most boring game I've ever played. Build everything in your region and then what? Do it again and again and again 💤 😴 game of the year! Hahahahaha good joke
sucks to suck I guess. I just downloaded a couple mods and have been fighting huge armies trying to defend my territory and expand. it changes the entire dynamic of the game. seeing this update soon its clear where the path of the game is.
i mean, i agree. the fact that the resources are always the same, theres alwyas the same resources, starting new, youre just doing th exact same thing. this is why i played this game for like 20 hours, but i have over 300 in farthest frontiers, because starting a new map in a random biome does mean you have to play different. this always has potential, but every day goes by, and i have less and less faith in that. if i want to play a city builder, i dont think ill ever see play this over farthest frontier or skylines
@@ExoCryptic-Exo you can’t really tout manor lords bc you’ve had fun with a mod. We are talking about the actual game here. Just like people say Skyrim would never be as beloved or still played if not for mods.

i would LOVE multiplayer in the game, if my friend could control a area and i could control mine and we can trade between ares, but 100% after we get NPC cities.
I Would love co operative for stalker 2?But instead they want to bring death match. Team death match no one's interested in pvp 😢
I won't even pick it up until there are on map lords to raid and ally with
@reaper3lit3 well your wrong there I think it could be cool as an extraction type game
Absolutely not 😂😂

They just need to add cavalry to the game and I’ll definitely go back to this game to start new town. Also with mods like adaptive Baron difficulty
I understand the burnout for the current maps or regions with the current build, but i feel like it would be more beneficial if they focus on the games functionality and content vs. making more maps already.
I know it’s a big ask but I hope we can get a map to fit 3-5 factions including the king.

Glory to Raptoria!
Wait. Some people didn’t think to build around well locations? XD
Boats! More lines for the villagers. More animations. Make us be able to go inside houses. So many things could be so cool. Make the player character be able to fight too.
walls and bridges are top for me. Sadly no one's gonna talk about having brickwalls instead they just stick to wood short walls.
I had forgotten how nice the game looked in the Pre-Alpha version back when it was announced. I hope the final game comes close to that.
I love manor lords! 😊
CK3 Character development and Dynasties would be awesome.
What is that pre-alpha foortage ? Is this something old that I never seen or this is current pre-alpha footage from testers?
What the game needs?
Health, hygien, diseases. It is the medieval period. Even if you do everything right, a contagion from outside can come in and kill of a fair chunk of everyone on the map.
I would love a map editor for the community.
Giving map creativity to the community would give countless hours of replayability.

The big hit for this game would be if gameplay could be transferred from a random map to a map of Europe.
Definitly multiplayer

can't wait for this upcoming content, have been so bored with what we have now.

Raptoria is the best
Since this game is very realistic, it would be unrealistic to fight a war in the winter
Nobody did that
I want random seed maps.
