A lot of my friends absolutely hate this movie lol. I mean, fair enough but I really dont think its THAT bad tbh. That whole ending section in the house still gives me the chills to this day. I think there are WAAY better found footage movies, but I still enjoy this for what it is.
I can see the ending giving people chills, but I think the boring second act pretty much lulls me to sleep by the time it gets there lol. That’s a big flaw, for me, even though the film is fairly short.
I like this movie. I don’t think it’s good, but I have nostalgia for it. I was 10 or 11 when it came out and I have memories of watching the VHS with my Mom back then. We were some of the people that thought it was real at the time. It made it much scarier. Lol Nice review, God bless!

Hey Michael don't know if you remember when you did your haul video and showed off cobweb dvd well today I finally found and got my copy on dvd as well I went multiple times and could not find it but I finally found it today after 1 months of searching for it
Overhyped as heck for sure. Always a mehh for me. It definitely influenced an onlaught of low budget "films" for better or worse...emphasis on worse haha
Agreed, dude! I get why it has an audience and is considered iconic, to a small extent, but I don’t get the obsession with it lol. I also don’t understand why Hollywood thinks this is the film that makes sense turning into a franchise.
@strangemichaelhorror I know...at least it inspired other enjoyable found footage movies such as REC (the Jennifer Carpenter one in the firehouse) and Paranormal Activity (one or two I enjoyed before the entries went on and on, yearly even)
