I would guess the reasoning goes: * women are limited from engaging in some sexual behaviour they might like due to norms * The removal of *extreme* norms, frees up more standard norms. E.g. no sex before marriage arguably was disempowering to many women who wanted to engage in sexual behaviour I guess the question is how we want to think about sexual constraint. Personally I would like to think that most people don't *want* to engage in (that much) meaningless sex, so I think this should be the constraint. So the argument would not be "this is sleazy" but maybe "that's a bit dangerous, and not that fun in practice" An interesting point here, is that sociological research does rather suggest that sexual norms are normally created and enforced by women.

Leo Clark How can you claim women are treated equally when there’s literally no country in the world where women are above men, but countless of countries where a woman can’t even walk outside, earn a living or make decisions regarding her own life without a man’s permission? When women are killed just for being women? It is not a “victim card”. There is a power imbalance in society between men and women and it has to do with objectification. But to take this objectification and turn it into something you’re actually in control of rather than being controlled by is empowering for some women. So as you can hopefully see: there is a big difference to be objectified by a guy (as a woman) and “objectifying” oneself in order to feel empowered.

I am one of those rare occurrences where my mom left and left my dad with me and two siblings, although I was already with my dad at age 3 after the divorce. * women are limited from engaging in some sexual behaviour they might like due to norms
* The removal of *extreme* norms, frees up more standard norms. E.g. no sex before marriage arguably was disempowering to many women who wanted to engage in sexual behaviour
I guess the question is how we want to think about sexual constraint. Personally I would like to think that most people don't *want* to engage in (that much) meaningless sex, so I think this should be the constraint. So the argument would not be "this is sleazy" but maybe "that's a bit dangerous, and not that fun in practice"
An interesting point here, is that sociological research does rather suggest that sexual norms are normally created and enforced by women.

Leo Clark How can you claim women are treated equally when there’s literally no country in the world where women are above men, but countless of countries where a woman can’t even walk outside, earn a living or make decisions regarding her own life without a man’s permission? When women are killed just for being women? When in literally every country men generally have higher positions and earn more money, are taught they can be whatever they want and dont have the same social expectations as women. Saying sexism towards women doesn’t exist is like saying racism doesn’t exist, dont be a fool just cause you dont experience it. It is not a “victim card”. There is a power imbalance in society between men and women and it has to do with objectification. But to take this objectification and turn it into something you’re actually in control of rather than being controlled by is empowering for some women. So as you can hopefully see: there is a big difference to be objectified by a guy (as a woman) and “objectifying” oneself in order to feel empowered.

The concept of objectifying has almost no meaning in this day. I haven't heard any non radical feminist use it.
