First things first. "The more people I meet, the more I like my dogs." -- Mark Twain [although there were similar quotes going back to 1800 or so] But these are pretty decent people too. I don't have a lot of love for corporations generally, but VA did a good job here in recognizing Odie's work. Kudos to them. And you could tell how much Mr. Edwards loves and appreciates Odie's work too.
Middle daughter works at a N/P in Michigan for 15 yrs that breeds, trains Service Dogs. I learned thru her one problem when these Amazing Companions must be retired. They often suffer Depression when they Dont get to go daiky out to work with their Human. They see in their home the new Service Dog taking their place. Yes eventually they try to adjust. But they remain somewhat Depressed for a very long time.
His tears, just like Odie’s love, are everything. Love this.
I hope these service dogs get a lot of free play time.
I didn't realize I could cry so early in the a.m.
