Lived in San Francisco in 1991 in 1992… Yes the restaurants were off the chain. There were restaurants everywhere, bakeries you name it /mom and Pop's the best food everywhere.... I'm Native to the area so I know what is what and how it got here to begin with. The reason he probably doesn't hook up with local foodies is because he doesn't want any special treatment and wants to provide the honest takes that come from the people that he sends into the spots to get the food. Keith Lee was upright and honest about his experience visiting San Francisco and why he had to leave early. You can't fault him for sharing his experience. SFC has had a homeless issue for years and city officials aren't doing enough to help people who want a place to live find permanent housing. The free needle program in this city and other west coast cities has also increased the use in homeless drug addicts. People crapping on the sidewalks is not a pretty sight. 😞

Bay Area food is horrible. I’m a Bay Area native and have realized after many business trips to other states realized how bad Bay Area food is. The quality of Asian food even sucks and good Thai food is hard to find.
To be honest I sue to take my family to the bay, however 2019 was the last time I went. It was the worst experience I ever had for starters you have to feel it is safe for your family and I did not feel this why. Definitely not the Bay Area my parents use to take me to visit when it was cleaner and more upscale. Now it feels like a war zone!!!

I think the residents and locals need to wake up to a cold hard reality. San Francisco never had enough industry to support their city. They rely heavily on tourism and "outsiders" to come in and spend money and leave. Food safety should be an “Universal” concerns. People do have food special needs and restaurants have to respect that , so patrons not sent to the hospital or worst.

WOW, Restaurants do not practice quality control. I personally worked at several restaurants and they're disgusting. Most restaurants are all about turn and burn
SF lost a lot of it's great cuisine over the past 15 years. Even the smaller m/p places have struggled and closed business.

I have been mentioning the squalor and reasons why the tents and burned out cars exist for years now and the Humanitarian crisis going on in the Bayarea . I'm Native to the area so I know what is what and how it got here to begin with. The people and politicians trying to ignore it and want to hide behind Happy Talk are in for some big surprises ahead and they are going to have to face the music. I'm glad this guy came, saw and spoke about it.

The people on the streets are not in any position to make decisions anymore and it is the decisions of those who have the resources to change the dynamics that could eliminate homelessness that are now controlling the action. They are the one's making poor decisions at this point. Drug and alcohol are only a small fraction of what led to the dilemma. Very few can grasp the magnitude of it. Yourself included.

The reason he probably doesn't hook up with local foodies is because he doesn't want any special treatment and wants to provide the honest takes that come from the people that he sends into the spots to get the food. If they know it's him, they would do things they wouldn't do for the average consumer. So I get why he does the reviews like that, honest service he provides his honest opinion on both.
Keith Lee was upright and honest about his experience visiting San Francisco and why he had to leave early. You can't fault him for sharing his experience. SFC has had a homeless issue for years and city officials aren't doing enough to help people who want a place to live find permanent housing. The free needle program in this city and other west coast cities has also increased the use in homeless drug addicts. People crapping on the sidewalks is not a pretty sight. 😞

To be honest I sue to take my family to the bay, however 2019 was the last time I went. It was the worst experience I ever had for starters you have to feel it is safe for your family and I did not feel this why. Definitely not the Bay Area my parents use to take me to visit when it was cleaner and more upscale. Now it feels like a war zone!!!

I think the residents and locals need to wake up to a cold hard reality. San Francisco never had enough industry to support their city. They rely heavily on tourism and "outsiders" to come in and spend money and leave. Its not quite Vegas, but its definitely more reliant on outside money than other major cities like Los Angeles and San Diego. Crying about tourists just reeks of ignorant anger. Maybe some of them need to be unemployed for a short while before they get a clue.
Remember that Mexican place across from city hall in Redwood City? Migrant cooks. 2 city hall employees had lunch there, got food poisoning and died a few days later. E. coli.
