In fact, China declared its sovereignty in the South China Sea in 1947, and the US troops helped China occupy these islands which were obtained by Japan in the SCS, at that time, the Philippines and Vietnam were still the colonies of the US and France, they were not an independent nations. The Philippines claimed the rights of sovereignty in SCS IN 1974. United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea was published in 1982, the law does not have the right to date back to historic territory. Vietnam grabbed 29 islands and reefs and Phillippines 9 and China 8.
