That reminds me of that one time I saw a single Liberty ship with an american flag sailing out of the UK. It was still a neutral country at the time, but for a solid minute my finger hovered over the left click pointing the deck gun at them. I ended up sinking it, I don't like being trolled like that. It caused a diplomatic incident, whatever, they had it coming, I knew what they did and they tried my patience. Fk around and find out.
I have to admit I struggled when first trying this game but after digging down and learning the systems I love it. Probably my favourite game of the last five years or so.

This is too funny. You know that chat has been telling taff for years now that any neutral ship in a escorted convoy is a viable target.... that goes for blockaded ports as well
@@willreaver1425 It should but the game doesn't see it that way. Neutral ships in an escorted convoy are counted by the game as valid. Neutrals are also counted as valid if their destination is a blockaded port but not if their starting point is one.
Just to add to your roleplay. If I were your commanding officer I would be quite unhappy. Unless I gave you direct orders to engage any targets of opportunity. Then your recon mission has essentially failed. I wanted to know what defences they had, how prepared they were for an upcoming operation and your attack on the port has ensured they will up their preparedness and shuffle about defenses so that we don't know how prepared they are. I see two tankers as a poor compensation prize for the entirety of the port I was about to engage against. Just my two cents, love your work.
Not only that a couple tankers that, being sank in port and in a way that doesn't make the port unusable, can quite possibly be raised and repaired while having barely hampered port operations.
it looked like you were fined / punished 200 monies and 50% repution for sinking the Bear Island. At 13:51. Still worse things happen at sea, oh, wait !
That is a bug, It's an enemy port, any neutral ship heading to that port is sinkable. doesn't make since to protect said vessel once it's in said port.
I always laugh when i hear that crewman shouting LOOOSS with so much passion!Other than that you were pretty lucky surviving the depth charge attack!!Did you order reverse full before they hit you?
If you are in shallow water, sit on the bottom. ASDEC has a hard time picking you up from ground clutter. Of course, if this was real that corvette would have blown itself out of the water for how shallow they were dropping those depth charges.
man , you have to mark the AOB in the red zone (it observes you from its left side...), not in the blue one, it doesn't matter, because the ship is stopped, it's just so you know it.
I have contemplated buy thing game now that it is released, is it worth it? Or would foxhole be the better choice? How well do you enjoy this game? Is it very repetitive of just sinking tankers or is there diverse gameplay that allows for multiple campaigns?
There's quite a lot to it, there are mini campaigns in the overall campaign you can choose from like the invasion of Norway for example. There are also various non combat missions to try like dropping a spy onto enemy shores, escort missions, recon missions, mine dropping etc etc. There is also a loose rpg mechanic for promoting and improving your crew as well as research for your boat. If you do try it I hope you love it as much as I do.
Shooting stationary ships does not need the angle on bow - the ship is not moving after all - and the range only matters for runtime as long as the angle between bow and ship bearing is small - if it is large and the target is close, it may matter somewhat more. Within 30° you can just shoot at the bearing (range = infinite) with a Type II and be off by 20m at most, according to my back of the envelope calculation
The alarm sound would *only* be sounded for crash dive. Along with everyone shouting on “ALARM!!!” and the lights flickering off twice a second everywhere (so even if the diesel engines were roaring you deaf, you’d know crash dive had been ordered). You’d also sprint to your crash dive station - and if you had no specific duty, that’d be in the bow as movable ballast to get the nose down faster. This bugs me, it’s simple to fix (just another sound file) and it is unhistoric. Might as well play the sound of Jericho Trumpets (the thing they (sometimes) had on the StuKa, which everyone and their dog uses for falling bombs and co.) instead, would be just as “good”.
Depends on how turbulent the firth is in which the submersible is situated. Bigger waves usually shift a u-boat around more. Stormy waves with troughs can actually expose the conning tower & hull, IIRC.
I think you're supposed to take that flag down when you are "at sea": the flag is only to be flown for ceremonial purposes such as leaving and entering Home Port.

Hello Mr. Taff, Sir!
Love this content and keep it coming! 🍻
As a former inhabitant of Edinburgh, Leith IS NOT Edinburgh!
thanks Taff..
Another great one.
