Man, I'm happy to see Traxxas still makes boats! I am a scale r/c model boat builder and this may be one I get just for fun! Great quality review as always. Now if only they bring back the nitro vee!
As with cars/trucks... I Love me some speed... BUT ... I prefer something that is just fun and controllable.. this looks good! Great review as always! Love this channel
This 26" looks like fun. I only have a few 26", one being the cheap UDIRC Arrow. I did start to appreciate the hobby more when going down in size to a 18" Recoil 2 this summer. I would also call that one a "stunt boat" 😅 Sometimes, forgetting about that GPS / GNNS, seems to be the way to go to just enjoy the hobby...
Hello! I have a question and it is not traxxas related. Does losi by any chance ship to Australia. I want to get the f100 Baja but I got no idea if they ship to Aus. If you know please reply
@@panzerkaske4836 the Disruptor is relevant? or my comment? Lol... Looks like what another channel said, the Disruptor is a Recoil V2 with more plastic parts :) He get the boat free? paid to review? Strange no mention about the Recoil and how this is better or worse or the same just Traxxas "tough" ;) :)
ABS hulls seem to of come on a lot, not sure why they have no bouyancy material in the hatch. My favourite self righting system, it doesn't compromise the hull with weird cut outs
Great price!!!! Looks like that is an "all day er" for sure! Traxxas should have put that guy out a couple months ago speaking as an upstate New Yorker lol
I’m in the market for a boat. I’ve been doing RC for almost 10 years now got about 20 cars and I’m like boat would be cool. Would you suggest the new 4s or the new Spartan ? I love your knowledge. Can you help?
Literally can’t go with either. Go with what fits your budget. My buddy Paul and I always have at least One Spartan on our RC boats trips as far back as we can remember. The Disruptor is now going to be a must bring as well. The only issue with these to keep in mind is the composite prop. Although I didn’t break one yet on this boat, we lost one on the Spartan that day.
@@rcdriver thank you very much. Looks like I’m probably gonna go with the Spartan. And I’m hoping they have metal props for both that you can upgrade.. thank you sir
i’ve had boats for 20 years only one that I keep consistently with a metal prop and that’s because it’s a 4hp gas boat i’ll take a broken prop any day over a busted prop shaft or a damaged motor / gearbox always good to have a weak point that’s easy to replace and cheap!!
This hull looks injection molded. Not vacuum formed like their other boats. Makes it stronger but a little heavier. No biggie. I wish they would continue towards more scale offshore boats. Maybe they can make more licensed boats like the DCB M-41. Maybe Skater? Maybe MTI?
Cool. I wish companies would stop justifying water in the boat. Most people are going to want to run them in salt water. Salt water in the boat will ruin the electronics. My 3d printed boats don’t leak a drop. Either way, super cool boat.
Great job on the review, however Traxxus is junk. Plastic running gear and cheap internal components. ProBoat murders Traxxus when it comes to boats. If I was buying in this class of boats it would be the ProBoat Recoil 2 by a long shot.
This is cheaper and faster and can handle more voltage than its proboat “competition” lol for the record I own multiple proboats and traxxas boats as well as a good mix of other trucks and cars so I’m not a “fanboy” as I expect people to call me. Enjoy the hobby as you like but don’t crap on others fun, that’s exactly the kind of gatekeeping our hobbies don’t need.
@@joshrcbros7287lol let me get u a tissue. It’s called an opinion and it’s mine. Quit your crying. I built and raced boats and still love the hobby. Stop all the crying, it’s my opinion. Freedom of speech and expression. I love my RC boats or all kinds. Even my hand built ones I used to race. I know quality when I see it and it’s not here unfortunately. Sorry, we can debate of course but after all it’s my personal opinion. End of story

Dang, that looks amazing. wish i could have one. Dreaming about owning a traxxas one day.
Awesome review Greg! Looks like it's got a lot of one ups over the previous boats they offer. I'll have to check this one out.
Much better than the ol’ Blast. I’d like to see one in your hands on your channel too.
How long do you think the battery last on the 5000mah be?
Looks like a blast!!
Looks like a fun boat! I’ve got a Spartan or I’d probably get one! Thanks for another great review!

Well ,I'm not convinced, yet,I have the Traxxas hydro plane and it runs pretty smooth,no choppiness,
Thanks once again 👍

how does this compare to the Proboat Recoil v2 26?
Yes: this is very relevant!

@@marcusone1 your comment is. I would have also loved a comparison in the review. But probably a payed review anyway.
Please tell traxxas to make a summit v2 with a 4s sensered system
Great price most of the rc community has traxxas charges and batteries which is cool
Why did the radio controlled boat market stop offering an unlimited hydroplane or pickle fork type hull design?
ABS hulls seem to of come on a lot, not sure why they have no bouyancy material in the hatch. My favourite self righting system, it doesn't compromise the hull with weird cut outs
What I noticed is pack the shaft with grease and no water gets in the boat. lots of fun on the water with this one!

I hear you. Only going to be able to squeeze in a few more pontoon boats trips for RC fun here too.
Great review 👍
Did you get a new mic? The whole video sounded more crisp than usual
All the same equipment. Probably because I was outside. My studio space causes a little bit of echo/distortion.

Need to adjust that strut, it is pointing down, that’s why it spins out like it does
Could have done that. But making straight line passes or ovals with boats gets boring after a while. This was way more fun as is.
@@rcdriver I’m not saying trim it for top speed, it just needs to be level. Use the trim tabs to adjust nose height
@@jaycevessier7554 don’t you know how to listen he already told you get off of it man
Needs to be twice the size. 52” would be awesome

My TFL genesis, a $700 boat, gets a lot of water ingress. I’m not sure how you get them not to allow water, it passed the tub test
An extra 2 knots can be achieved by a better non Traxxas battery & advertising stickers peeled off.
That’s cool. I was using used Traxxas 6700 packs.
Self writing to that plastic prop breaks
$400 cents after tax plastic prop, then the tool to release the hatch if you lose the toy you’re fucked now not worth it this is $275 boat all day
You’d probably complain about the higher cost of a metal prop and that your lid came off in the water too…😂
Wow, for $350.00, it should not only come with the batteries and charger it should take me out to dinner and a movie !!
You must be new to rc lol
