    I like how Kelly and Steve had each other's back throughout. I always felt like they were one of the core relationships on the show. It's also cool to see them revisit a major dramatic episode from a few years earlier (Brenda, Dylan, & Donna were at the Halloween part too). Nice writing

    I like how Brandon is standing right beside Steve gripping his shoulder as a way of being a pillar of support, and he's the first one to start clapping as soon as Kelly said Steve's name. I like to think it was his way of telling Steve that everything was gonna be alright.

    Kelly may not have always been the nicest of characters, but she had a hard life, and her assaults were something that no person should ever have to endure. Jennie Garth performed her monologue beautifully.

    I haven’t seen these episodes. Kelly is not entirely wrong but it could be a dangerous narrative. Sometimes a ‘no’ isn’t always vocalized but the cues are there. It’s a very tricky subject. That’s why they say, “If it’s not an emphatic yes, it’s a no.”

Bk were telling the other they loved eachother while dylan & kelly never said it once. Brenda & dylan alao always said they loved eachother all the time & he admitted to her the problem was he lived her more than he thought he couod love anyone " that was the oroblem" Brandon brought Kelly up as brenda did for dylan. Dylan & kelly were just sex which she said to him.

    It's not a yes unless it's an enthusiastic and obviously and clearly stated yes. Not saying no doesn't make it a yes. And the fact that shows tried to normalize that is gross.

    • @dancerkris95
      @dancerkris95 5 месяцев назад +4

      Well, in this instance, though with Steve, she did want to, but because Steve didn't want anything more than a hookup, she got upset and regretted having consensual s*x. So, in her mind, she came up with the date r*pe scenario after hearing Kelly talking about one of her experiences from her past in a group session. Kelly here was giving her specifically the message that what happened with her and Steve was that it was consensual and that later, she regretted it, which is NOT the same thing as date r*pe.

    • @trickortrump3292
      @trickortrump3292 5 месяцев назад +5

      Pretty soon people will be saying it’s not consent without a notarized signature. If I don’t want a man doing something with (or to) my body, it’s up to ME to communicate that. I’m certainly not going along with something and then turning around the next day and calling it rape because I only nodded my head instead of giving an “enthusiastic and obviously and clearly stated yes”. How about we start empowering each other to communicate an assertive and obviously and clearly stated no, instead of blaming the man for not accurately gauging the sincerity of our yes?
