The scene at the Play Area (presumably of the kindergarten) is the most romantic scene ever bar Pacey and Joey in Dawson’s Creek first time. Both Luke Perry and Jennie Garth were really good in the scenes together.
They were just physical. What he had with Brenda was deeper. The fact that they did what they did to Brenda was messed up. It tainted my perception of them for the duration.

Brenda was beautiful, Kelly was cute. Kelly did get prettier as she aged, but in the beginning, she looked like she had a pig snout. I know, that's awful to say, but it's the best way I can describe it. Brenda had the most beautiful cheek bones.

But after watching the series several times, and watching these fan videos showcasing all the stories with B/D, D/K, B/K it’s so clear that this thing with Kelly and Dylan is just…forced. Not there. Was just shoved down our throats. Not to mention the inconsistency in writing. Lol their relationship is just so dark and seems traumatic 😂 like a weird trauma bond. They fought so much. There’s no joy, he’s hardly smiled or laughed throughout this entire 36 minute video. They also started their relationship from a really disingenuous place, and in college he was ready to cheat with Brenda like 3 times 😂He says “fallen in love” but never actually says “i love you” to her. In Dylan’s relationship with Brenda he was always touching her, always hugging and kissing her, always affectionate and happy and saying he loved her. Like he couldn’t get enough of her. So much joy and smiling and laughing, and undeniable chemistry. B/D were the true biggest and most amazing soul connection on the show. Their love was honest, and pure. And Brandon was the absolute best choice for Kelly. It’s totally fine if you disagree, I know people connect with different ships and see what they want to see when watching a series, but in my opinion, Brenda and Dylan had incredible chemistry, and they balanced each other in an honest way. They could never keep their hands off each other and even when they were “just friends” their connection jumped off the screen. I always wished they would have gotten Brandon and Kelly together at the spring dance in season 1 and started things from there. Idk. I just felt like once Dylan and Kelly got thrown together, which I know had a lot to do with what was going on behind the scenes, it really ruined the dynamic of the show. And not just because I’m a B/D fan, but also because it ruined the dynamic of the FRIEND GROUP in general. I felt like everyone was just really out of character after that sadly :/ in my head, Brenda and Dylan ended up together, Kelly ended up with Brandon. And possibly even David and Valerie, though I’m not opposed to Donna and David being endgame at all

I definitely would not want my 15yo dating a sexually active, alcoholic , who lives by himself without any parental guidance. Brenda was not mature enogh to handle a guy like that. 😂 Dylan really dogged Brenda and Kelly and ruined a good friendship. Me personally, I never would have spoken to either one of them again no more than hi and bye. Its funny how these 2 girls fought over this guy for years into their 40s in the reboot.
