I use to faint a lot when I was younger and I would get really hot and dripping sweat, dizzy, weak, my ears would ring loudly and I couldn’t hear very well things just sounded very fuzzy, it sucks and it’s not fun at all!
Fainting sucks! It happened to me once and was very frightening. I got very hot out of nowhere and felt as if all of the energy in my body left immediately (hard to describe it). I ended up walking a few feet before eventually collapsing.
Same, today I got a blood sample at a hospital and it made me faint, I got really hot and sweaty plus and I couldn’t hear well at all things just sounded fuzzy and low, It felt horrible
SAME I just fainted minutes ago I felt nauseous, dizzy, lightheaded and I felt ringing in my ears so as I tried to get my breakfast I felt the symptoms again so I wanted to lay on the couch but I had a black out and I fainted near the glass table in my living room 😅
If someone is about to faint and they know it, and they manage to tell you in good time (because their legs may have stiffened-up, they feel hot suddenly, their hearing has gone distant and their head starts to swim), quickly lay them down on their back and lift their feet/ legs up to about a 45-degree angle i.e. definitely higher than their head. If you hold their legs there it should prevent the person fainting, but it depends how far they've gone towards it. Trust me, it's much better than the old-school approach of sitting down with your head between your knees, although I appreciate that it may not be possible to get someone on the floor quick enough if they are very old or obese. How do I know about this? A surgeon told me, but that wasn't until I'd fainted 30+ times during my lifetime (that is not an exaggeration btw; I've fainted 3 times in the past year alone). Actually, the raised-legs thing is probably a good idea even after someone has fainted, because it will get blood back to the brain quicker. When they start coming round you may want to lower the legs though, so that the person can just lie comfortably. And it's probably best to turn their head to the side or put them into the recovery if feasible, just in case they vomit from shock. You could loosen their clothing (neck ties, top buttons) and take any headwear off too. Personally, my own fainting is usually down to 'white coat syndrome' or Googling medical stuff, but for others it can be due to general anxiety about a situation they're in, or excess heat. It's not a bad idea to give the person a drink of water afterwards, but if you know them and/or you're sure that it's not a problem allergy/ intolerence-wise, you could get them a Mars bar or something sweet to eat, just in case the episode was due to a sugar crash. It will likely help to pep them up regardless, however don't try and sit the person up too quickly; they may need five or ten minutes lying still before they feel up to moving. Once they've recovered they should be able to move normally, although they may feel somewhat drained. While someone is fainting it is normal for them to sweat profusely, their eyes may flicker/ roll or even stay open, but they should come out of it enough that they're able to respond and talk to you within a couple of minutes. If they don't, then it could be a fit or something more serious, so you may have to consider medical intervention.
Hey guys I faint on the regular and if any of you have questions on how to care for someone who faints or completely passes out reply here! I’m happy to help! And if there’s any one who relates to me I’d love to hear from you! I have reactive hypoglycemia. That means my body produces too much insulin and it eats up all the glucose in my body and doesn’t leave any for my brain. This leaves me feeling confused, anxious, and tired followed by excessive sweating, dizziness, nausea, and then I faint. For me “fainting” is never passing out fully, best way to describe it is a half state of consciousness. Everything will go white and fuzzy, I can’t hear very well yet everything is too loud. If you cup your hands over your ears and then talk that’s basically what it sounds like. I can’t control my muscles very well. I have no concept of time so a fainting episode can be 20 minutes long and feel like a minute or vice versa. No it is not curable and absolutely nothing helps except keeping food on me at all times. Thanks for reading my paragraph! Have a great day!

@Baker1777 If it's a head injury then yes call the ambulance. However, a lot of people faint from simple dehydration or a temporary drop in blood pressure. Those aren't worth the cost of an ambulance in the USA. Most health insurance companies are run by scammers & will charge from the deductible or deem the trip unnecessary if they can.
@@Jaxzyn yep I’m here to figure out what happened to me today. But get this I took my grandpa to the doctor and brought my dad with me. I brought him in so the dr can tell him that he can’t drive as his behavior the day before got so bad I had to call the deputy (non emergency) to calm him down. He has really bad dementia. So the dr starts talking to him and the next thing I knew the dr was up in my face 😂 everything happened so quick. I felt a little off and was trying to shake it off but I went from 1-100 in a matter of seconds. It was like when it all hit at once I couldn’t move nor speak I just slumped over. Everything was a blur. Doc said “looks like someone needs a nap” 😂 and checked my heart and offered water and the medical assistant came in to offer a lollipop 😂💀 so yeah. iI'll add a couple of things here. One of the things you can do to help is get something to put under their legs and raise them up. This will help get more blood flow to the brain. The other thing is this: There's a lot said here about giving people water and in some situations that's a good thing. DO NOT give anyone anything to eat or drink unless they are fully conscious.
Yeah when I fainted it was because we had been in the car all day and I was purposely not drinking water because I didn't wanna have to stop and pee. We got home and I fainted in the kitchen. Dad sat me down and made me eat dinner with a full glass of water
1. You should rise her legs that the blood in the legs can pass through the brain, 2. Stand her head right side, then check her pulse, when she wakes up spill some cologne in her face that she breathes cold, that will help her sober up, Don't try to give the person anything to eat or drink, not even water, until they are fully conscious, then give some water. She may then have headache, because she'll probably bump her head somewhere, don't panic, it'll be alright, it just happened to me a few days ago...
Here’s my fainting experiences!Once I got an MRI, and the whole time my mom was looking down at me. When I was done I got up and as the nurse was talking to us she fell, open eyed, straight back into her arms. Apparently she was unresponsive, and about 9 other people rushed into the room. Traumatic.. Another time we were outside putting up Christmas decor when I looked over at my dad, and he was on the floor kinda laying down, on the sidewalk. I ran over to him and got his phone. I called my mom, and she took him to the hospital. We didn’t know what was going on, and the doctors didn’t know either. I cried all night until I knew he was ok. (No one knows what happened…..) Today we were at a roller coaster park (just me and my sister) and I was talking to her when we were in a line. I was on my phone and noticed she didn’t respond. She kinda looked through me and took a few steps back. She then fell flat on her back, onto the floor. The whole line stopped and looked at her. Somebody started to dial 911, and another person screamed “SHES HAVING A SEIZURE” (I couldn’t tell if she was twitching?) my heart literally stopped. About 30 seconds later she sat up (I don’t think anyone called 911 all the way) We made sure to get her water, and I was a crying mess on the way home. (I was having flashbacks to the last two incidents) Due to the heat it had to be a heat stroke. They were all super scary, and I really hope nothing ever happens to you guys 🙏
I played seven seconds with my friend and I passed out when I woke up I heard static and it slowly went away it felt like I skipped an episode of a series all of the sudden I am lying on the floor crying not knowing why when I was Justin standing a couple of seconds ago
Try and walk with someone when you go out on a hot day.my sister and I were walking around when I started to feel dizzy and light headed so my sister who is in med school knew what to do to keep things under control I still fainted but it could have been worse if my sister wasn’t there.
It sucks to pass out I passed out on a ride at a carnival it was a really fast one and my head and jaw and body just felt weak and my head felt light and I blacked out 2 times but after that I went to go get some food and water and then we left cause I felt like puking and I got carsick but I’m ok now! 😀
I fainted earlier at school, my legs starting feeling weak I couldn’t hear well, I started to not be able to see at all so I saw pitch black I started wobbling then smashed into the floor and this was in assembly
I fainted in November and I don’t really eat and when I fainted I felt it coming and I felt like throwing up and I took my phone out and like said something to a friend saying I think I’m gonna faint then EVERYONES voices went all weird and I grabbed onto stool then like I think I pushed my peer tutor? Cuz I heard her say “ woah uhh, are you ok?!” I couldn’t see it was all black and stuff and I felt my hand holding the counter then I heard a stool move idk if I moved it or idk but then I was on the floor and my peer tutor was sitting by me trying to ask me if I’m ok and I didn’t respond for a while I was out for like 3/5 minutes I started to get the blurry/black vision at 11:19am I went down around like 11:22am or something then I came back around like 11:24am or something and when I got up my classmates were scared I’m kind of wondering why they didn’t get the fricking teacher :/ cuz I was out for a while and I wasn’t responding for 1, and I probably looked pale
I went through this before I had texted my aunt and told her I felt like I was about to faint I had dizzy spells she came and got me while I was outside and sat me down while emt was talking to me and in the middle of the conversation I was told my eyes rolled in the back of my head and I was unconscious for 7 mins I couldn’t hear anything it was totally black all I remember seeing was my late brother who had recently died I didn’t have a pulse the emt brought me back around when I came to I couldn’t remember anything nor what happened I couldn’t even tell you the day and time it was so scary I thought my family was going to have to bury me

I have fainted 6 times what you have to do if it happens is put your legs up when you wake up and definitely have something to eat after and you will deal nauseas but that goes away by eating and you will feel weak for the rest of the day
One time i was at school morning assembly and i almost fainted probably high temp and standing, the teacher just told me to sit down on a bench below a little shade
My friend said a kid fainted in the school hallway and i saw her on the ground so if that happens i just want be safe incase another kid faints near me and no one is around
I fainted today well I didn't fall but during woodwork we were watching our teacher show us were to mark on the wood that's when I got really warm and dizzy 2 seconds later I found myself leaning over the desk I got help by one of my friends and got to sit down and drank water and had some fubes from my lunch box after I gained again pretty scary event for me today
I fainted and it’s hard to describe but my legs felt numb and then I all I saw was black and I woke up a few seconds later and my parents say that it was 30 seconds and that my eyes were open and that I was stiff I also fell backwards and they asked some questions and one of the questions were what were you going downstairs to get and I couldn’t remember. I fainted today in my music and I was sweating because we were Dancing for 30 minutes and I started going I guess you can say like my vision went darker then I fell (from what I was told) then I woke up on the ground
she is already halfway to the ground when sitting. Why have her stand up? If possible just go immediately down. standing up can hasten a fainting. Then you have to catch them.

I couldn’t have fainted in a better place 🤦🏽♀️🥴😭
I’m on that side of RUclips
Today my dad fainted, i caught him so we didn’t get hurt but man it was scary, his eyes were open as well. Just watched this video in case it happens again. Right now he is in the hospital but he’s okay, he just has a bad fever
So sorry 😢
I passed out once it feels weird my father thought i was acting
@@dontreadmyprofilepicture9482 I passed out and my dad caught me mid-fall, he was angry and thought I was messing around but I just stretched too intensely I guess. Hurray for fast reflexes lol
Oh no at least your dad is ok! 😊
Glad to hear he’s okay
I have pulmonary hypertension and everytime I climb a flight of stairs I faint at the top. It lasts for about a minute
iI'll add a couple of things here. One of the things you can do to help is get something to put under their legs and raise them up. This will help get more blood flow to the brain. The other thing is this: There's a lot said here about giving people water and in some situations that's a good thing. DO NOT give anyone anything to eat or drink unless they are fully conscious.
i agree with all of this. especially if the person is dysautonomic or has other heart or blood pressure issues.
Ok I was gonna shove a sandwich in the person’s mouth and move their jaw to chew for them but I’ll keep in mind that’s a bad idea.
I have fainted a few times . And most of the times just drinking water and eating something helps
Yeah when I fainted it was because we had been in the car all day and I was purposely not drinking water because I didn't wanna have to stop and pee. We got home and I fainted in the kitchen. Dad sat me down and made me eat dinner with a full glass of water
I have fainted 6 times not fun at all
Don't spill that on people, they might be intolerant for all you know.
Wouldn't that only work though if it's a blood reason why you fainted like getting up too fast which is one of my problems
I fainted once and i only stayed unconscious for what felt like 10 or 15 seconds my dad stood right in front of me probably confused
(No one knows what happened…..)
Today we were at a roller coaster park (just me and my sister) and I was talking to her when we were in a line.
I once fainted in the accessible toilet in a hospital as the result of having Crohn's Disease about 10 years ago. It was horrible.
It sucks to pass out I passed out on a ride at a carnival it was a really fast one and my head and jaw and body just felt weak and my head felt light and I blacked out 2 times but after that I went to go get some food and water and then we left cause I felt like puking and I got carsick but I’m ok now! 😀
What happens if someone ‘faints’ with their eyes open?
I fainted earlier at school, my legs starting feeling weak I couldn’t hear well, I started to not be able to see at all so I saw pitch black I started wobbling then smashed into the floor and this was in assembly

“Have you received the experimental shot?”
I just fainted today and it’s really scary and you just get dizzy and stuff goes slow then you faint
I fainted once when I stood up too fast. I think I have iron deficiency because I start blacking out if I stand up to fast and I lose my balance.
I hope you okay!

I actually fainted on a train recently while standing up and now I think I’m super injured. I wish I would have known the symptoms of fainting.
I faint a lot during my childhood. Now I am adult it happens sometimes but it is rare, mostly when I don't have enough oxygene.
I almost fainted Today I was coming out of middle school to the bus then I saw stars, I felt super weak and nauseous.

Check your haemoglobin. You might be anaemic
It’s super scary and the some of the doctors said it might have been a seizure. Some seizures you don’t shake.

I thought you were meant to put people in the recovery position?
I fainted before
I think- not sure. I might be on the verge of fainting. I dont know how to explain, but I cant see, I hear ringing, I get dizzy and hot for no reason and at random times. I dont know if I can stop this. I drink lots but I keep having this happen.

2-4 slaps to the cheeks wake up most women. Alternatives - splashing cold water in the face, smelling salts. Then raise their feet to increase blood circulation to the head.
Checking pulse is a waste of time. Check breathing only.

I love to make fun of myself on this story! I threw out my back n was bed ridden for about 3 days straight, but was still eating like normal. Well after a few days nature (#2) called so I crawled (cause of my back) to the bathroom and started doing my biz (#2). After about 10 seconds I woke up on the ground. I had fainting! Well yes my boxers were around my ankles and yes my legs had 💩 all over them. Tried to clean myself best I could n crawled into the shower.
Needless to say that’s was an interesting call to my wife at work...😂
