Correct, it's not an origin, this dives straight into a world where superheroes exist, JSA and others. This feels very much like classic cinematic Superman, the font, the colors and the theme, all a welcome return. The electric guitar version of the fanfare is to add the extra dose of Americana. The new movie does have the John Williams fanfare in addition to a new score. The Hans Zimmer version also used the same notes, just played differently.
I'VE WATCHED over 3 dozen "reaction" videos, everyone's asking who is Superman fighting, but no one has mentioned/noticed that in the opening scene, Superman is laying in the center of a huge hand print.
The trailer got 250 million views in 24 hours! 😱 The amount of emotion that this trailer draws from grown men and women, with just visuals and music alone, is incredible!!🤩🙌🏻 It’s gonna be a long 7 months 😩
Enjoyed your reaction and analysis. I don’t think there’s too many villains I think right now the only villain is Lex Luthor, and maybe another in whoever’s causing that orb.

As a #1 fan of all things Superman, I'm not happy that Gunn seems to be exploiting the 'Man' over the 'Super'. Also, there's are big details that's overlooked: When Superman whistles shouldn't much of the snow be blown away, and for an alien who doesn't need to breathe, he's wheezing very heavily.
Frankly, I don't know what trailer many people are watching, the first thing seen in Gunn's trailer is a Superman falling defeated, in a Yamcha-style pose (even Crunchyroll made fun of that), panting and bleeding (what kind of "symbol of hope"? ” is that one? And they were complaining about Snyder), and then he calls his “cute” little dog Krypto to save him and take him home (that is, Superman is apparently useless in his first film), then being attacked and belittled by people so he looks “annoyed and dejected”… just like Cavill’s Superman in Batman v Superman (only here it is in his first movie), then the CW show-type cheap suits and cuts of the Justice League (or is it the Society?), an overabundance of secondary characters (and they complained about Batman v Superman, only here it is not in the second but in the first film), Clark's Bad Bunny hairstyle, the Snyder-type slow motion shots (which they criticized him a lot for but Gunn is applauded?), etc. The only thing more or less salvageable is Luthor and Lois Lane (but the latter is worrying due to the statements of one of those who originally auditioned for the role when she said that “she is the heroine of the film and she is the one who saves Superman”… So Superman is going to be an extra in his own movie apparently). “This is Superman”… the problem with that is that there was already a Superman that was a carbon copy of Cristopher Reeve… Superman Returns with Brandon Ruth and also the Cavill of the Josstice League and both were a failure, that's why Nolan and Snyder made a more “realistic” version with Man of Steel in response because they realized that the “happy and funny” version was no longer as attractive, but well, there ara many people with their altered perception of reality. Has James Gunn never failed? Apart from the Guardians trilogy, everything he has done is rubbish and failures (TSS Squad, Peacemaker and creature commandos are failures at the box office and ratings, apart from the fact that Gunn puts his member jokes and unhealthy tastes in young people in abundance in those productions. )
Really wish DC makes a comeback with this one
WB & DC Studios 👎👎👎

It was originally Luthor Corp, it was Lex who changed the name out of vanity.
