The biggest hinderance I had for 20+ years was the wife and I were NOT on the same financial management page. In the 10 years after our divorce my savings has grown probably 20x. Had we worked as a team, who knows where it could be now.
As soon as i get my CC paid off within a month or so and my semi by the summer im gonna start investing heavily again. Im nit getting any younger and we cant count on SSI.
The Public School System does nothing to prepare you for life just the opposite school sets you up for failure I am glad I never got married and started a family me being on disability now I could never support a family they would be suffering I would be at the school all the time declaring WW 3 School does not get people off on the right foot it is rediculous half of what your kid goes in there for every day is total antiquated nonsence I think beyond the basics that should be done by the second grade I want my child being prepared for total success by the time they are in middle school they should be in business for themselves they waste your child’s precious time on just a lot of nonsence to fill the time slot a lot of non essential poppycock nothing that can translate in the real world my Dad use to have by his side at the kitchen table in the evening after supper helping with his Drivers Log book YES !!! Now they don’t teach that in schools I got Math & Reading & Geography combined & writeing & spelling Take that old Lady Cook from the 2nd grade !!!!! And Mister Height from 4th grade geography Aw but he was pretty cool A WW 1 army veteran who use to bring in all kinds of neet stuff from back then like his helmet that …really to me provided very little little protection & the Maps that were drawn on cloth this man was a Carpenter by trade & would select boys from the 7th & 8th grade with him on local remodel jobs he would do in the Summer amazing they don’t have these kind of teachers anymore now it’s all Social issues & Racial Rhetoric the kids today are being short changed Big Time Damn shame
If you’d ever need or want to hire a company driver based out of NC/VA I’d be interested. I just left CRST Malone lease after doing Roehl lease purchase for a few years. Tried a few local jobs experimenting with different things but I think out and back is more for me than running up and down 95 all the time.
It just depends on how close you are to retirement. Young people should focus on growth and older people can focus on income. If you build wealth through growth when you’re younger you’ll be able to put that money into income investments when you’re older. The most important thing is to live below your means and Invest in the first place though. Great video.
