Jaguar XKR X100, building a racing car! Engine cooling complete. Boost pipework, and new wheels!

- In this episode, we continue along our journey in building a heavy Jaguar XKR into a racing car!
In this episode, we sort out our supercharger belt, and auxiliary belt. The routing for the TVS1900 on the X100 4.2 works out to be very different.
We finish up the cooling system, with new radiator cowling, and all water hoses in Aeroquip hosing. Both new water pumps fitted and tested.
We also modify our 'new to us' team dynamics wheels to fit the car. The center bore is bigger than a BMW so we need to machine it out.
Massive thanks, to
Uncle Spike as always

Those braided hoses and dual colour fittings look absolutely awesome. This is going to be one heck of a car.
Aircraft standard engineering , design and manufacture is very impressive, great work
Thankyou!
Absolutely amazing!
I'm going to guess at least 500hp if not more. It's really interesting watching all the brackets and fabricatiosn being made. The engine looks really nice.
This looks crazy 👍👍👍
Incredible work mate really gone to the next level with that
Thankyou mate!
Cheers mate
That helps me.
Mine's a 4.2 02
Mate, that is an epic build, loving your manufacturering skills and foresight, those plenum chanbers look awsome, do they make a difference in power or just make room for other stuff......? Also never heard you swear so little, must just be when you come to bridgwater. ....😅😅
Truly incredible stuff. Will have to talk to you about this, as I’ve been taking my jag drag racing and it’s been interesting to say the least. Hope to set records on the STR platform.
Very cool!
Proper engineering just like we Brits used to do! Though I must admit, the length of that charger nose worries me a bit 😅
I agree! Looks crazy, especially compared to he original. That said, been fitted to every single 5.0 SVR range rover, and supercharged Jag though, so I'm going to trust them. 😂
Erm, good vid 😂😂
Thought that would have been finished by now! Been on holiday again?
If only! You still in this country?
I wish I had an Uncle Spike!! Lovin' the good work! Did ya get much chatter doing the wheel bores?
Hey Alan! You don't, the guys a nightmare! 😂😂
It wasn't too bad in fairness, slow and steady! It was ridiculously boring though. 😂
at least you didnt bore us with small talk eh :D :D :D lmao sorry i couldnt resist i want them alloys on my XKR now :D
I'm not great at RUclips! 😂
@@TS-STORM I'm sorry mate! I'm too old. 😂😂😂
Another great vid. One question - where did you get the storage unit with the red locking tabs? I need one!
Hi Steve, eBay number: 203606704915 It was a good deal cheaper though when I bought mine. Shocker right!
That engine looks the tits youngen, must be nearly stage 3.
Stage 3.5 baby! 😂😂😂
I’m lost. Why was the OE water pump removed? Why were the idlers and tensioners removed?
All part of my cooling system improvements. I'm running each bank individually, as if they were seperate engines. Each bank is monitored for temperature and indeed pressure. The speed of the pump is adjusted accordingly to maintain whatever temperature is set in the ECU. This method is more efficient, and gives me more interesting data (as I'm boring, and like numbers)!
That was alot of umms😂
Pizza box brackets!
