@@Jacob99174 Unless it comes to the USA it's not a comparison. Also if it does, the Hornet is playing in a higher class of around 145 horsepower (GSX-S1000), not the 120-125 hp bikes.
My 2018 900 Zed is the best bike I have owned in 50+ years. no ABS, a 31.3 SEAT HEIGHT and 14 pounds lighter than the 2019 model. You can not go wrong with these machines, they are like a precision watch
I like it. I can't really criticize Kawa for the styling but kinda wish they went a bit more aggressive and unique like what they did with the last generation Z1000. That design is amazing
Not gonna lie was hoping for a bump in power (not that it needs it) but not bad. Think I'll keep my 2020 z900 though, I don't push it hard enough to even utilize those extra electronics!!!
The updates are actually simplified throttle and ECU controls, believe it or not. The Z900 has been running a hybrid manual/electronic system ever since they put power modes and traction control on it for the first time. The full ECU driven throttle simplifies systems and makes it easy to incorporate the high resolution control (throttle and ABS, cruise control). Is this more expensive? Tough question about that. The throttlebody assembly is much less complex than the last model, it is simplified. There's no more cables to lubricate and maintain. The ECU programming probably comes from the ZX-10R racing side of things so there's much less development about that.
Bravo 👏 finally looks like we're back in business boys!! It looks aggressive and focused not like the previous design and i see the front has borrowed some elements from the H2 but much more refined and better looking. Also looks like we're getting adjustable preload etc and overall Kawasaki goodness. Cant wait to see the 650 or a 700
Not expected @Kawasaki, Old is gold, this was my dream bike before update and now you changed my mind 😢 I'll not going to purchase anything from kawasaki. You broke my dream 😭
I love this update, and have been waiting for it since a long time!!! But sadly, the Street triple RS 2024 will eat this z900SE for breakfast with 7HP more power and a whopping 26 KILOGRAMS lesser weight!!! The only thing better in the z900SE is the 19nm extra torque.
I was hoping they would shed some weight and add some hp. At almost 470lbs, 123hp is definitely disappointing for a 948cc. The Triumph 765 base model has 118 hp and weights in at 417 wet.
Because if you believe there's a vast difference in mass from one bike to another that's between 425 pounds to 460 pounds, there just isn't. The greater differences is in how the suspension and chassis is set up, the greater differences is in how the power comes on at usable RPM ranges. The greater differences is in your personal skill level, and adaptation to which ever bike you own and ride, the greater differences is in your willingness to push the limits of the machine you already have. Tossing money to the wind isn't going to give you the romantic magical solution to all your riding problems (most of it, a lack of training and lack of willingness to learn how to increase your riding skill). Obsessing over spreadsheets is one thing, but it's not a very good use of time. Make a decision, don't make that decision because of the weight of a man's digested dinner or full bladder, or lack of desire to lose weight and get in shape.
Hey kawasaki its time to upgrade the power on this bike. Its heavily detuned from factory specially in higher rev range. It can easily make 130-140 horses. Unleash it full
Have a '22 twilight blue Z9. Doesn't have all the tech, but it's been my favorite bike out of 50. My new gsxs1000gt has a quick shifter and I turned it off. The Z9's engine is much smoother and imo is more powerful. It's truly a great machine. Had n mt09 and traded it in for the Z. The Z will be buried with me.
Exhaust sound doesn't match the video . Anyway, what are the changes? Video was supposed to highlight whats new which they hardly have except for minor headlight and taillight changed and cockpit..
Looks cool and reliable, keep up the great work, Kawasaki! A fan/rider since 2003, now almost 2025.
My God it Gets a Bi Directional Quickshifter, 6axis IMU function, Cornering Management, Cruise Control, Brembo Brakes 🔥🤯 That's Mind-blowing
That is industry standard in this class......
@Allenamenwarenschonweg yeah 🔥
Only on Special edition
@@arunrajlparanjothi4355 Basic model got it too.
@@Hanzo636 there was another longer video from kawasaki europe RUclips channel i guess. These add on features are specific to SE models.
Hell yeah, finally gets kqs and radial calipers and so much more. Well done.
That is only for the SE model
What's key difference between radial calipers and regular calipers?
CC will open up convenient long distance riding.❤
@@The-Celestial Brembo brakes yes only for SE version but the basic gets nissin radial calipers too.

About time it's updated. Bike just moved to top of my list.
Me too
The headlight is much more aggressive, beautiful. To me, this is what the zh2 SHOULD look lile.
What about compared to new Hornet?
@@whitegoodman7465 The headlight is hideous... Way too small and looks like the Z500. Not aggressive enough...

Finally Kawasaki is back to life 🧩
if decepticons became bikes this would be it. looks so cool
I still love the Z1000 cowl and headlights, looked like 4 reptilian monster eyes staring back at you. This looks finally better than the older z900
A true art, Kawasaki is simply fantastic.🙏🏻
Looks sharp!
They nailed it this time

as a z900 2018 owner, i'm sold again to this model. finally! bike is loaded ! in my wish list :DDD well done KAWASAKI
Now it's a full package....no complaints at all.....❤
The beast has reincarnated into a monsters machine with modern touch Z900 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome

Exactly.. Doing the same with 2023 one of mine.
Yeah not worth the upgrade I'm sure for a 900 owner. It's an amazing upgrade for me as a 2020 Z650 owner however.

Did it dirty with the new headlight
Bring back a modern GPZ 750 Turbo & GPZ 1100 in red & black.
Sure, but I'd prefer them to bring back their KX 2 stroke dirt bikes first.
Yeeee ******** haw!! Beautiful
I have one 2022 Z900SE...this new model is the next step.
