He never changes gear. Or weapons. Or tactics. This is why people say the DLC is too hard: they don't know how to change and adapt to the situation, and this DLC punishes that severely.

The Leda Fight is weird cause its the biggest hit or miss fight. If you do it straight through without questlines (Just Leda, Dane, and Hornesnt, with Nataan), it's a drag and obnoxious. However, if you do it while completing all the questlines prior with Hornent joining, plus summoning Ansbach and Thiollier, it is one of the most epic and emotional fights in my opinion. The dialogue, the music, the NPC all out civil war, is perfect. Plus summoning two cooperators to join you during the fight, giving you a 5 man team is also awesome. But you can do either one or the other.
Can we show some love for the absolute legend that is Sir Ansbach. Bloody badass saw right through Miquella’s manipulative bullshit & tried to free Mohg from his enchantment. Once the great rune is destroyed & the spell broken, he gets right back on the path to deicide. He respects and fights alongside you to the bitter end, and hails you as one worthy of becoming a Lord.
You’re spot on at the end. I believe Miquella is also controlling Radahn. In his second phase cutscene; he starts glowing the red aura, which might be his true self, his lust for war, since he’s being given a proper fight, a good battle, or perhaps Mohg coming through due to Radahn being weakened, but as soon as Miquella comes through, as a deity now; the red aura, slowly turns gold, like Miquella’s unalloyed gold.

I myself used s big ass shield and a blood kata with my mimic… idc what people say .. i played the dlc in ng+2 and it was the most enjoyable torture of my live … until radhan … that mofo kept me busy for 6 hours

Radahn got me so good. What got me through it was light load dodges to dodge roll further to better avoid the light beams in the second phase. Also constantly circling him in the second phase helped so much with avoiding the light ray attacks.😅 besides that the second phase moveset is very similar timing to the first phase.
So tldr on how Radahn is alive: Miquella orchestrated all of the conflict in Caelid when Malenia fight Radahn. He instructed her to kill Radahn but she failed. Radahn was to be his consort when he tries to rise to godhood, and he charmed Mohg into doing whatever mohg did in lore so that Miquella could even get to the land of shadow. Mohgs corpse was then taken as a vessel and his soul was replaced with Radahns which was freed when we killed him. EDIT: your take on the lore at the end was actually spot on

If you're confused about the lore, the gate needs three things to bring forth a god. A lord soul, a vessel and the person who becomes a themselves. In this case we have Radahn's soul, Mogh's body and Miquella himself. Miquella somehow fused Radahn's soul and Mogh's body (vessel) to bring forth his godhood and now he can become the elden lord as he's a god and the reborn radahn is his consort.

Jev plays these games. That assessment isn't exactly fair. He has good battle sense and has an eye for telegraphs. He is pretty good even with a brain dead build. The fact he dodged alot of radahns moves first try is a testament to his skill.
Radahn, consort of Miquella is basically a Elden Lord/god, Which makes hin on the same level as Radagon, Marika, Elden Beast Prime Radahn was only the mightest of the demigods, but he wasn't the biggest fish

The reason why he’s alive, is because Miquella rescued his soul and placed it in Mohg’s body (which is why there’s horns). Also, you were 100% correct on what the order would be like under Miquella. He does want to make the world a gentle place, but will only do so by enchanting everybody. Nobody is allowed to have their own free will. To think for themselves, to have their own opinions. Everyone would become a puppet to Miquella. And there’s also hints that Radahn actually did not accept the offer to become consort. War is something Radahn lives for.
Also, who's to say his age of compassion would really work considering how he cast aside his "love." At the Miquella Cross where his love was cast away, there's a ghost there who says something along the lines of, "You cast aside that which you should never have done. How can you save others if you cannot save your other half," that other half being St. Trina (who urges us to kill Miquella because godhood would suit him ill). You can't really have true compassion without some sort of love, so what would Miquella's reign of compassion truly offer if he had no love to give or feel?
Honestly though if the people didn’t kniw they lost their real free will and everyone lives a perfect life then that doesn’t sound too bad. I would be stoked to live like that, yet I have to go to work and deal with annoying shit constantly 😂
i started my 2nd playthrough in the last few days, knowing where the scadu frags are in advance makes it a completely diff experience, bosses that took 2-4 hours are taking 1-3 tries LOVING it

To answer your question of how Radhan is alive in the DLC Jev, let's just say after we killed Mohg, Miquella used his body as a vessel for Radhan's soul. And in return it not only brought him back to life, but also restored him back to his prime, with some of Mohg's powers.

So tldr on how Radahn is alive: Miquella orchestrated all of the conflict in Caelid when Malenia fight Radahn. He instructed her to kill Radahn but she failed. Radahn was to be his consort when he tries to rise to godhood, and he charmed Mohg into doing whatever mohg did in lore so that Miquella could even get to the land of shadow. Mohgs corpse was then taken as a vessel and his soul was replaced with Radahns which was freed when we killed him.

If you're confused about the lore, the gate needs three things to bring forth a god. A lord soul, a vessel and the person who becomes a themselves. In this case we have Radahn's soul, Mogh's body and Miquella himself. Miquella somehow fused Radahn's soul and Mogh's body (vessel) to bring forth his godhood and now he can become the elden lord as he's a god and the reborn radahn is his consort.

The reason why he’s alive, is because Miquella rescued his soul and placed it in Mohg’s body (which is why there’s horns).
Also, you were 100% correct on what the order would be like under Miquella. He does want to make the world a gentle place, but will only do so by enchanting everybody. Nobody is allowed to have their own free will. To think for themselves, to have their own opinions. Everyone would become a puppet to Miquella. And there’s also hints that Radahn actually did not accept the offer to become consort. War is something Radahn lives for.
Also, who's to say his age of compassion would really work considering how he cast aside his "love." At the Miquella Cross where his love was cast away, there's a ghost there who says something along the lines of, "You cast aside that which you should never have done. How can you save others if you cannot save your other half," that other half being St. Trina (who urges us to kill Miquella because godhood would suit him ill).
You can't really have true compassion without some sort of love, so what would Miquella's reign of compassion truly offer if he had no love to give or feel?
Honestly though if the people didn’t kniw they lost their real free will and everyone lives a perfect life then that doesn’t sound too bad. I would be stoked to live like that, yet I have to go to work and deal with annoying shit constantly 😂

To answer your question of how Radhan is alive in the DLC Jev, let's just say after we killed Mohg, Miquella used his body as a vessel for Radhan's soul. And in return it not only brought him back to life, but also restored him back to his prime, with some of Mohg's powers.
