    I own 6 DJI drones, 2 Mini 3 Pro's, with RC Controllers, Mini 4 Pro, with RC 2 Controller, AIR 2S, AIR 3 RC 2 Controller, & DJI FPV Drone, all are Fly More Combos, & I have the Integra Goggles Motion 2 Combo, I also have a Autel Evo Lite Plus Premium Bundle. & I plan on buying the Avata 2 fly more combo. I pray this ban wont go through, but if it does, Ill be set. I written my states representatives about 6 times asking them to oppose HR 2864

    The bill was almost expected to pass in the House for they supported Stefanik who proposed the DJI ban bill HR 2864 and slipped the bill into their version of NDAA. Now the Senate will review their version of the NDAA bill which may not include any DJI bans or can remove them. They have to negotiate between their versions of NDAA with the House. Once they meet an agreement, it goes to the president for signature. I'm still calling and writing my senators repeatedly. It is not over yet at all. It is not a law yet unless it goes all the way through. Thank you for the video update.

    • @Hat_Uncle
      @Hat_Uncle 3 месяца назад

      yes...
      Senate version doesn't have the House's "Drone Ban" in it, but does have "Female Selective Service Requirements",
      so it is VERY likely they will use the "Bill Reconciliation Process" to pass the bill.
      That means anything Not in Both bills will be dropped. It's a political non-starter

    I think sooner or later they will ,clear the air of hobby drones! No I don't expect that a US company will start and have the same features as a DJI or in the price range! China basically owns the hobby drones so if no drones or parts from China, you basically eliminate a lot of hobby drones to make way for the expensive corporate and business drones, for safety reasons for example.

      Aw, c'mon. We're crazy with our gun regulations too. Rather than ban or allow guns based off of safety, we have a complicated tangle of laws so that no one knows what you can or cannot do. Our ATF just shot a guy in the head for legally selling guns. The president's son was convicted of owning a gun while on drugs. And it took the supreme court to tell us that a gun stock is not the same as a machine gun. USA isn't a gun free-for all, instead it is a complicated mess from the two sides using guns as a political tool to get votes. We'd be better off if one side or the other won.

    I purchased a DJI Mini 4 Pro 2 weeks ago, fully aware of a potential ban on them.
    As for no new products coming from DJI, I think we'll still see new drones later this summer/fall because those are already in production and have already been granted their FCC license before this bill...I'm assuming. I don't think the government will revoke any existing FCC license on current drones in use.
    This bill will push a lot of companies out of business, not to mention First Responders that rely DJI. Plus, I think any new drones that come onto the market that's not DJI will be so expensive that they'll be out of reach for most of us.
    My Mini 4 Pro may be the first and last drone I own.

    There is absolutely nothing comforting about our current DJI drones not being grounded. Most of these drones are good for about 2 to 3 years before they become antiquated and or have problems. This means according to this video that if you’re lucky you have another two or three years to fly drones that will actually work for you and do what you want them to do, because there are no real alternatives to DJI drones. However, this is not what I heard coming from Ryan Latourrette when he was talking to Ken Herron, yet the belief that we will not be able to get and fly new DJI drones persists.

    The US Department of Defense has observed in Ukraine how a $600 consumer drone can be effective against a $10,000,000 M1 Abrams tank. They are likely considering how to address such asymmetries in future conflicts. While they strategize on a grand scale, many drone users may not fully grasp the complexity of these issues.

    DJI can lock out your account and then your drone is good for about 1 month if you recently signed in. If you use Fly App and cannot acces your account and sign in once a month your drone has limited flights [10] and parameters and then is bricked. No firmware download is needed for this to happen . The only DJI drones that are truly safe are those that use the Go app such as Mavic 2 and earlier. Downloading firmware is the only way to get bricked - totally false.

    • @HalfChrome
      @HalfChrome  2 месяца назад

      And why would DJI do this? Also you wouldn’t have to update the app.

    • @boblamb1390
      @boblamb1390 2 месяца назад

      DJI does it right now. The new requirement is you must log in every month as Dji logs you out every 30 days, that is to ensure you keep the flysafe data up to date. If DJI cant sell anything in the USA then what is the incentive to monitor and upkeep a million accounts and servers for a country they have been banned in?

      The app really is only part of the problem, the DJI servers actually log you out of your account a month after you sign in, [it use to be 3 months] . You have no control over this,it insures you log into DJI once a month. If you cant sign in then your drone has 10 flights I believe before it is basically bricked by a very short height and distance limit. If you have no account to sign into - game over, drone is bricked.

      DJI and users agreement - pay attention to the part where they can "terminate" your right to access your account or USE OF THE PRODUCT. ALSO the part that says YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT.
      LIMITED LICENSE. DJI grants you a limited, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Product for their intended purposes only. YOU WILL NOT “HACK”, “CRACK”, MODIFY THE PRODUCT INCLUDING ITS FLIGHT SAFETY FEATURES. YOU WILL NOT OPERATE THE PRODUCT OVERRIDING THE FLIGHT SAFETY LIMITATION. ANY USE OF THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN AS SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZED HEREIN, WITHOUT THE PRIOR WRITTEN PERMISSION OF DJI, IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND WILL TERMINATE YOUR RIGHT TO ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT OR USE THE PRODUCT.
      There's also a section on Eligibility and Your Obligations which explains you need a DJI account and you need to accept the updates.

      I just want everybody that flies a drone, no matter the brand, to fully understand that hoping this will not affect your current DJI drone may be far from the truth and everybody needs to get off their a$$ and contact their representatives about this. DJI is just the first. The government is going to come after all of them.

      2. Yes you will be able to fly them should a ban happen

      @@HalfChrome so if I were to buy the mavic 3 pro now, I can still fly it even if the bill passed?

      @geor1036 yes. That is the most likely scenario. Bill currently written bans future DJI products.

      Not unless you willingly connect it to the internet and download firmware that bricks it.

      But the orange clown would sign it too. This bill has far-right hands ALL over it. No matter the party affiliation of the president, they would sign it because it was snuck into the defense bill; and no one would NOT sign a bill funding the troops.
