I have found with the Z1 that it can really struggle with warm lights causing some really bad yellowing in some circumstances. The Theta X seems to do a bit better job just from what 360 shooting that I have done.
Great concise share. I take drone footage for my construction company for exterior work but was wondering how to better capture interiors and general progress documentation. Thank you for taking the time as this was very helpful regarding the Theta Z1, Matterport, and general workflow.
Thanks for the video. I grabbed the Z1 and the X instead of the Pro 2. Almost grabbed the Pro 2 but realized I would have to stay with the Pro level (or higher) subscription to use the Pro 2. I can see doing that once I have regular clients but not starting out. Also, I see no advantages of the Pro 2 or Pro 3 except to "look more professional" on-site by using a bigger camera.
@@clkb8moto I completely agree . And even with all the clients I have. Using matterport is on requested 5% of the time . And my clients aren’t usually onsite when I’m using it so it works out to go smaller
Man dope video, keep getting it! Just upgraded my 360 camera, I was using a Ricoh Theta SC2 Business and it took so long for scans and sometimes the scan came with an error code. Its worth it to invest in good equipment. Blessings.
I’d only recommend monopods . Having a tripod take the pictures will have a weird image toward the ground . So any monopod that can stand on it own. Mine was only $120
I have the Theta Z1, but not the software. Is the Matterport software free? If not how much? Do you know alternatives to matterport? I use photogrammetry software: metashape. Great video BTW
Matterport software can be free but you’ll only have 1 space or listing to put online. You had to remove the capture everytime the listing sells. I currently to pay $12 a month for up to 5 listings because I do a lot of homes every month, then I’ll just remove the ones that are sold

Hey bro your a lifesaver!
No doubt I appreciate it
Great tutorial thanks for sharing...one question what settings are you using on the Z1 please thanks
For this everything was automatic I didn’t have to set up anything extra . The most set up work was through the matterport app
HDR Auto i presume @@Semesem_
Love this video I’m trying to learn
It’s a game changer for real
I could stand a tutorial on Theta camera for virtual tours!
What type of tripod would you recommend for the Theta z1
