Absolutely loved this films take on a hybrid , man that hybrid design was aesthetically awesome. Also love the exchange of growls at each other while there fighting really adds to the animosity of two alphas

We get to see more of his insane speed. I would love it if there's a scene where Lena tries to show off her speed to Michael.
But Michael gets to the destination first. Surprising her that someone is faster than her without doing that water ritual. Because let's face it.

A lot of this movie was pretty corny, but the reveal of the blood on her blade here... A really cool shot. Just beautiful.

@EricaH34 No, this is corny. The early 2000's leather/latex fetish with metal music, the use of machine guns even though they are useless against supernatural creatures, and the slo-mo. But being corny doesn't necessarily mean bad. Being lame is bad, which is what the Twilight movies are - they are more lame than corny.

Gotta give viktor props for basically deafeating a hybrid beast like mikeal.
A new born with zero fighting ability and no feed and riddled with silver nitrate bullets.
That comeback combo was really good. He ditched the fancy stuff and just went for the straight forward attacks counting on Michaels flailing moves to time his attacks. Each punch was a quick power blow to a vital area, tied up one arm mid swing and landed an arterial strike to stagger him, throw him with a hip throw and then anchor punched him into the ground. Viktor really is a master tactician in combat.
Seriously whoever choreographed that bit is obviously a very well trained fighter to know these blows. I’d hate to fight that guy.

Viktor is the first vampire created by Marcus (The Original Vampire) is over 1500 years old and taking into account that vampires become stronger with age the hybrid did pretty well against him.
Michael has never fed on blood to gain strength. He is basically newly born. Michael was to be a doctor, not a killer.
He had the power but not the control or the technique to beat Victor if you’re familiar with the sequel William is clearly more powerful than any other Vampire elders and spent over 1400 years not feeding but was still strong enough to manhandle numerous enemies and only lost to Michael who despite being recently revived was not deprived that long along with the benefit of being faster and stronger because he’s a hybrid
Is Michael stronger than Viktor?.
Not really. Both of them are equal strength but Viktor experience is far more dangerous than Michael new hybrid changes

Michael is potentially far stronger than Viktor. However, in this universe the more blood a Lycan, Vampire or Hybrid consumes the stronger they are, relative to their base strength. Viktor spent a day juicing on blood via multiple transfusion lines and is running at 100% strength. Michael is a newborn and hasn't consumed any blood since first being turned into a Lycan, and then a Hybrid.
Michael did well considering he had not fed.

People believe that Michael Corvin is still alive. Because if he can come back to life after being impaled through the heart. Then a cut to the throat should be no problem.
Scott Speedman himself said last year that he would love to come back as the Lycan-Vampire Hybrid. As long as it's a big role. Not that small stuff they had in Awakening and Blood Wars.
Especially Blood Wars. We could get to see Michael and Selene being reunited and Michael finally knowing and meeting his Hybrid daughter Eve.
See him get some upgrades. Like having a healing factor so great. He could reattach any body part that gets cut off. Something we haven't seen in the Underworld franchise before.
Maybe have him kill Semira. Because we have never seen him kill a Vampire before.
At the end of the movie. Michael Corvin and Selene are married and Michael is the new leader of the Lycans. Making the wish of Lucian and Sonja finally come true.

Yeah. It annoys me how other vampires like Semira and Cassius go on about how Selene killed Victor.
All she did was deliver the final blow. Michael Corvin was the one who fought Victor.
Victor wanted to kill him because he was afraid of something else being a better species.
I get that Michael's supposed to be green, but tbe whole hybrid idea loses some of its reverence when he gets stomped his very first fight.
Michael was squaring up against a Vampire Elder, who are among the strongest vampires in Underworld lore. Moreover, Viktor was a warlord who had centuries of combat experience under his belt. It was a pretty bad match for Michael. He actually fares much better against Markus in Evolution, who was not only another Elder but a hybrid himself. Given time to acclimate to his new form, Michael would have stood a better chance. It really was prudent for Viktor to kill him when he was effectively a newborn because he no doubt would have eventually grown strong enough to overthrow him.
Micheal was getting the upperhand on Viktor.
Michaels in experience as a hybrid is the reason Viktor would have killed him if not for selene. Viktor has been an elder far too long.

Man Michael Corvin vs Victor is kind of similar to Hulk vs Thanos. Michael and Hulk are much stronger 💪 than Victor and Thanos.
For the first part of their respective fights they overpower them with their superior strength. But they both fall prey to the centuries of combat experience that Victor and Thanos have.
Although Michael gives Victor more of a fight than Hulk did with Thanos. Anyway everyone goes on about how fast Selene is in Blood Wars.
What about Michael here? The guy moves so fast you can't even see him move. Almost as if he teleports. While Selene and Lena move pretty fast. But you can still them move to some degree.
But here. Like I said his speed is so great you can't see him. Until he wants you to see him. It took Selene 4 movies to move at that speed. While it took Michael 1.
No wonder Ana Forester wanted to get rid of him. Because she knows that Michael Corvin is way more powerful than Selene. She does not want Michael to overshadow her.
I hope for an Underworld 6. They have a new director who shows just how much more powerful the Hybrid is compared to his Vampire Lover.

This fight proves Viktor is stronger and more skilled than Michael. He overpowered him three different times vs.Michael just catching his hands that once.
No. Michael Corvin is stronger 💪 than Victor. It was just down to Victor's decades of experience as a Warlord and centuries as a Vampire Elder.
While Michael Corvin just has a year of experience as a part of the United States Marine Corps. Was literally just turned into a Hybrid.
That being said. Victor does impressive strength. Due to his age and being turned by Marcus Corvinus the first vampire.
To put his strength into perspective. He killed Raze in his Lycan form by breaking his neck and arm.
That's really impressive considering that Raze was Lucian's right hand man. That Raze easily overpowered and killed 2 Death Dealers in his Lycan form earlier.

The first underworld was epic then it went downhill except for prequel movie. They completely disrespected Michael being a hybrid by nerfing him in favor of feminist empowerment

Dumb, childish, unconvincing fightscenes. Whole movie is nothing but an insult to the legends, no plot, no depth, just endless stupid jumps and throws, and a bow to wokeness. Boring

I always took this as Viktor IS stronger AND is a better warrior. Stronger because of his age that is, of course a Hybrid has more potential but apart from speed Viktor is clearly outclassing the hybrid here. He clearly won the fight.
A few factors, not stronger, that was proven when Michael caught Viktors punch, Michael was shown to move faster than Viktor can perceive, which seems to contradict the rest of the fight which seems to show Viktor has a better combat level which does make sense which helps to get some punches in on Michael but Viktor is also aided by multiple silver nitrate bullets inside Michael as well plus he's not fed unlike the second movie where he is visibly more muscular and bulked out.
@@Dante-vf4sd Viktor also caught his attacks, so that nullifies your 1st statement. Viktors strikes definitely seem to have more of an effect on the Hybrid also. Yes the hybrid is shown to be faster. Being bulkier in the 2nd movie is nothing to do with being fed, the actor literally is probably just bulkier and the fight started before any silver bullets was in the hybrid. Viktor still gained the upper hand.
@@jdturkdrcox Viktor catches Michael's punch but that only proves that they are about even, otherwise Michael wouldn't have been able to catch Victors, the point I made was that Viktor wasn't stronger which is true.
Victors strikes aren't shown to be more powerful, just a few strikes and vibes ctor was visibly overwhelmed and shaken on his knees, they both got portrayed throwing each other distances with relative ease but ultimately Viktors combat moves are superior which brought him out on top even though as I stayed earlier Michael's speed was beyond what Viktor could perceive which shouldn't allow him the chance to react no matter how superior his combat skills are. Markus is literally shown to start off as extremely skinny before feeding properly and then bulks up, the same for Michael here, it's not natural bulk it's literally prosthetics and CGI.
The fight started before Michael got shot but he was still very capable of carrying on from the few hits Viktor landed before otherwise they wouldn't have included it in there. Shots do weaken them all which is why Michael was taken down with regular bullets in the second movie, never mind silver nitrate, that and he hadn't fed again which does make a massive difference to their healing and recovery from attacks, this is shown with Eve as well as Selene and multiple others. Viktor meanwhile was at full strength having had intravenous blood pumped into him for a day.
@@Dante-vf4sdNah dude those couple hits rocked Michael. Michael blows didn't rock him as much. Viktor is definitely stronger. Viktor has had three moments of superior strength vs. Michael's one. 1st when they were up against the wall. 2nd when he pushed him back, that's better than catching a hand. 3rd when he had him in a chokehold. Viktor's attacks did more damage. That upper cut and the way he threw him proves his superior might.
