Such a unique style of play. Always very entertaining to watch: from massive topspin forehands to rocket lobs and crazy sidespin. Great compilation once again and will be sad to see him go eventually. May I request a Zhang Jike comp next?
I will do tribute to Zhang Jike, Timo Boll...and many other great players. Stay tuned, thank you for your comment and thank you all for watching and commenting. Enjoy!
I used to play shakehand style, and after having watched many Ma Lin and Xu Xin matches (especially the latter), I decided to try and learn on my own how to play penhold style. And now I can't even play properly as a shakehander
I've been a fan since this channel started, and this is by far your most spectacular video. You save the slow-motion replays for the most impressive shots, and have a wide variety of skill displayed with the long chops, explosive forehands, and short drops. Great job, keep it up.
+Top 8 TT Thanks a lot! We all know XX will never be a World or Olympic winner, but to me he is the player with the most beautiful TT style ever. Maybe only Korea's own Joo Se Hyuk comes close, as another one with such a classy demeanor on the table who'll never win any of the great trophies. But it really doesn't matter. Life is about Conscience and Compassion, not about winning prizes for the low ego - and only Beauty makes it even more tolerable and enjoyable. Exactly the kind of Beauty we all can see in these two player's games. If one applies Tai Chi Chuan's principles of Energy & Movement to TT, that's exactly what Xu Xin is doing, all the time when playing. Definitely, there's nothing more beautiful in all the TT's world. Again, thank you very "magic"! ;) Cheers!
Can honestly say my game has gotten better since I’ve started watching TT videos, top 10 compilations mostly 😂 Xu Xin is my favorite player ahead of Koki, watching him play is like watching Mj play in his prime, most of what Xun Xin does is so skilled, he makes me want to be better to do like him. Honestly one of the best to have hold a paddle, I’m from Michigan and play “ping pong” in a basement, cheers 🏓
I grew up watching Chong Je Tung using his penhold rackets ruling the TT world, then shake hand dominates the TT world after Chong’s retirement and I lost interest in TT for almost 30 years! Then I saw Xu’s new penhold grip which has shocked me and his style of playing is like an artist
of course penhold wouldn't be being extinction. there is a huge amount of players who are playing penhold. but penhold actually has been walking on a tough road in the top match in recent years
Good, a comrade! I'm a fellow penholder but not a world class player too. :P By last I mean a top-five-player quality penholder. Wong Chun Ting is the only one noticeable..
i think that as long as the referee don't call an illegal serve, the serve is completely legal. I just answered like that it annoys me to see on each table tennis comments about illegal serve. And i think that a that level, they are able to read the spin on the serve the same way even if the serve is ''hidden''
hellsing alucard so in your opionion people who are not experts in this field should not be allowed to ask their questions? And you even admitted that the serve was hidden, and afaik that makes a serve illegal. Oh my
it is not about being an expert or not, i just think that you can't really judge if the serve is really hidden or not from a video, sometime, from a serve can look illegal from the camera angle, but can be completely visible from the player position. if you follow the rules strictly it is almost impossible to have a completely legal serve.

Xu Xin is the penhold legend, watching him play is pure bliss.. thanks for keeping penhold alive and awesome
I used to play shakehand style, and after having watched many Ma Lin and Xu Xin matches (especially the latter), I decided to try and learn on my own how to play penhold style.
And now I can't even play properly as a shakehander
Tactical Socks me too. it’s rather fun playing against shakehanders and they’re like ‘tf you doing?’😂😂
XU XIN IS INSANE! BEST PLAYER TO WATCH
SkySnail 2:55 awesome sidespin

Notice at 4:09, Xu Xin effortlessly catches the ball onto his paddle without a bounce.
Jehron Baggaley ii
great edition, thank you for the effort you put in.
long live penhold style!!

Xu Xin - The Show Man
Great comment, but beware that he won men's world cup in 2013. His only big title so far.
@@pesymace cause penhold is limited by ITTF until now
Didn't he win 2016 Olympics and then world cup and championship later?
Oh, that'a as a team or in a double, my bad.

大蟒🐍 乒乓球王昕爺
Cloud walker 當之無愧的頭銜👑 非你莫屬👍🏼
one of my favorite players longing to see him back at #1
@Dale Wilson . . . he is now
Xuxin is the reason why I love the old ball, it's spin is high that makes playing alot fun even in counter spinning
Xu Xin is such a sympathetic person
how do you know that?
Awesome Xu Xin!!
I'm glad you included some shots where he lost the point too cause some of those can be just as phenomenal!
Wonderful video!
We are blessed living in the era where xu xin is playing table tennis
its really sad that he s never going to win the olympics or the world champions ships
really love to see him play
1:12 I don't even know if he played it with the forehand or backhand. I literally understand that shot!
thanks. you make the best videos
really sad to see he lost his edge, hope penholder won't extinct
C'mon he don't lose edge , he just spent more time with his wife if u know what I mean LOL
Now he is back :)
of course penhold wouldn't be being extinction. there is a huge amount of players who are playing penhold. but penhold actually has been walking on a tough road in the top match in recent years
Xu Xin!!! My favorite player!
So much talent, not fair at all! And that Ryu-Seung-Min memoryforehandswinger, my lord, the poor ball!
the last one is incredible
gr8 vid about X-man, love it! He is magican, artist. LG shame on u!
XuXin-The show man
Abbreviation
X-man😂
that make sense
Godlike forehand
XU XIN may not be the best player in the world but he sure is the most unique and entertaining player who ever played Table Tennis.
no . he is NO.1 now
my favorite player
His game has own charisma
Fantastic penholder actually!
good video
天外飛仙🙏🏻
Incredible xu xin !
my mind was in another place while i was watching this video
Not normal, the most insane table tennis segment I've ever watched. Long live XX, whatever the opinionated coaching staff is indicating
Legendary.
Great video! Though that quick followup topspin off the bounce feels more like a Ma Lin signature shot
Legend xuper xin
4:06 LOL the other guy got trolled
The power of pen-hold backhand. It is so pain to watch...
Steven Xia except if it is wang haos
Magic.
magnifique!!!!
2:58 wow
not start watching video yet but attracted by the bizarre topic 'cloud walker'?? what's the hell that?
1:19 cold point❄️
1:11 crazy shot
3:39 when you try your best but you don't succeed.....
The god of spin xu xin 🏓🏓♥️🏆🏆
he was so much better when he combined the traditional penhold backhand with RPB
Tal Alpern i can't agree more. TPB forced him to stay closer to table
unreal
ممتاز ورائع ولياقه بدنيه عاليه جدا
actually, the cloud walker is named by liu guaoliang, means that xu xin's footwork is bad(check the interview in 2009),雲中漫步
Nobody puts more spin on the ball than Xu Xin although Hou Yingchao can get a lot of sidepspin too.
I vote him #1
Xu Xin is from outerspace.
What match is 2:58?
He did with happy
You could also call the video: Xu Xin - The show man
Johannes Ferrer-Wolf Or Xu Xin - the last penholder...
Please no I hope he's not the last
Erick Bartolone i'm penholder but not a world class player 😭😭
Good, a comrade! I'm a fellow penholder but not a world class player too. :P By last I mean a top-five-player quality penholder. Wong Chun Ting is the only one noticeable..
Kit Erick Bartolome Xue Fei?
Do Jean Michel saive!
7:34 smart boy
How many times can I push like on this video?
1:19 Bm
8:28
1:18 can anyone explain what he did? Was it forehand or backhand?
It's a forehand trick that Xu does during a receive to surprise his opponents. Other examples: 2:20 and 5:21
a video of kaii yoshida
hello
R U kidding me WTF last one !!
若い頃は表面ショートもよく使ってたんだ
haha... 50% of the time i only realize who is who by who is making the point..
Cmon xu xins style is quite obvious isnt it?
The serve at 6:52
2:08 Can we talk about what the fuck that was?
wasn't tht an illegal serve at 5:01?
isn't that comment completely useless
well, if you could enlighten me about thatspecific serve, you could make your reply at least somewhat useful. i have a feeling that could be necessary

Weird Ball Track !!!!!!!!!!!!
The liszt of table tennis
5:51 绝杀
许昕在马龙面前就是浪不起来,一直翻车😂

Djaffer HAMDI Yeah crazy right?

但使龍城飛將在,
不教胡馬渡陰山。
帅到没朋友~
Ma Long is probably so tired of Xu Xin's shit by now.
Why am i ''the cloud walker'' though ?
The commentator at 1:00 needs to understand the game is not about him. Tip for next rally....shut up.
