Crazy Wisdom: The Controversial Way To Enlightenment

  • In the realm of spiritual practices, where conventional wisdom and
rationality often prevail, a unique teaching method known as "Crazy
Wisdom" emerged as both a fascinating and controversial approach.
Originating in Tibetan Buddhism, this unconventional teaching style
challenges conventional norms, overturns expectations, and often initiates
    awakening experiences.
However, the concept of crazy wisdom extends beyond Tibetan Buddhism,
permeating various religious traditions in both the East and West.
Crazy Wisdom teaching methods can be seen as a form of teaching known
    within Buddhism as “Skillful Means.”
In Buddhism, "Skillful Means" refers to the idea of using various methods
and approaches to help others understand and practise the teachings of
    Buddhism.
The teacher will adapt their actions and teachings according to the needs
    and capacities of different individuals.
The Buddha employed skillful means in his teachings to cater to the varying
    capacities of his followers.
He utilized gradual instruction, using simpler teachings as a foundation for
deeper ones, and employed parables, metaphors, and tailored advice to
    make complex ideas more accessible.
The Buddha skillfully questioned his disciples, encouraging self-reflection
    and independent understanding.
Through these skillful means, the Buddha adapted his teachings to meet
the individual needs of his diverse audience.

There is a reason and purpose for everything and anything.
I feel as somebody who grew up with alot of trauma and addiction(like many of us) that it was hugely responsible for my seeking of something higher and as i dont feel any need or desire for any “crazy wisdom” as i feel i have had that lesson in my hardships, but can see its purpose for those who still struggle with the balance within this dualistic realm we currently experience. We can become attached to anything .🙏

Yes, crazy wisdom executed in a way that is insensitive or brutal to the emotions and/or overall psyche stems from a heart that is not completely open. Teachers who use crazy wisdom like humiliation do not understand the inner lives of others. A fully open heart knows many creative ways that lead people to illumination after illumination.

It is interesting that none of these teachers talk about Cardionosis. Cardionosis is the ability to read hearts. The ability to read hearts is Interpersonal Psychological Awareness. This ability comes with a subtle (Subtle Body) awareness of the interior life of others. Subtle Body awareness comes with high degrees of Enlightenment or clear feeling, knowing, and seeing. This ability comes with establishing purity of intention. Spiritual progress for humanity moves in this direction where one day there will be much less crime. There will be much less crime because we will know each other better. We will awaken to the degree of what has been called Garden Of Eden Consciousness. We will have personalities and not impure egos. In this consciousness we are LOVE.

I read that human beings have been interfered with for millennia by higher intelligences, and this is the main reason why we have not gone far in our evolution. Also there are planets which celebrate violence, egoism, and chaos for their own sake. People are encouraged to incarnate on evolving planets like Earth to sow as much division as possible. This is also one main reason why humanity seems to carry a percentage of psychopathy, racism, and other low level behaviors. There's some type of subconscious fear or thinking which has been programmed into the human that is keeping it stuck within certain mental parameters. People are finally getting free from this.

Harming ones self to get a message transmitted isn't the middle way. It's seeing a way to communicate something in a visceral real time way. This has the effect I suppose of making the moment more identifiable and behavior like habitual thought is illusory but can be self harming in some manner. Find a way that doesn't feed one's own attachment and demise. Goodness gracious let's take care of each other.

To complement what the video says, I am going to tell you a real story of how I received the skillful means from the one who would become my Zen master.
As a background, I was young and naive.
I went to the Gokanji, a Rinzai Zen temple, and requested to see the master.
I was directed to a big room with a solid wood floor.
There, the master was sitting on a kind of throne.
I did not hesitate and after kneeling and greeting him, I posed my pledge.
I beg you to teach me the way to Buddhahood.
He came down from his seat and moving his arms imitating the flight of a crane, asked me with a smile,
"Have you learned how to fly?"

If merely by consuming meat one could attain spiritual purity, then all meat-eaters should have reached sainthood. There is a science to meditation and enlightenment. There is only one instance when crazy wisdom is wisdom and can enlighten someone. Those crazy zen masters who would use violence in the form of hitting with a stick would only do it when the meditator was in samadhi. Hitting with the stick, or surprise or shock, would shatter their samadhi leaving an experience of reality before the mind started filtering experience again.
You see, in traditional samadhi, the mind is too concentrated to have realizations. It has awesome experiences but not realizations. We must come out of samadhi in order to have realizations. And that is why the authentic crazy wisdom people destroy your samadhi.
But half-baked gurus from the east who came to the west wanted to party like rockstars and coopted and maligned the actual crazy wisdom traditions, not to destroy samadhi trances in their students, but to justify their egoic addictive, hedonistic and abusive behaviors.

And the fact that to be a contrarian is to actually be in tune with reality not with human expectations. BS
If God was love then it means that he has no control over this world as there’s a lot of suffering and indifferent.
Instead, God is everything or rather everything is God.

When any “enlightened” guru (con artist) turns their focus onto sleeping with everyone and especially sleeping with younger members and encouraging this between members, it’s rotten to the core. We don’t need any gurus in our lives…to experience God.

The most dangerous place in a individual's life is that place where they become comfortable and no worries about bills. That is the comfort zone where growth dies and restlessness is calmed. Without fear and concern the drive to become more also dies.

@@sidhantsharma9961 Spirit is energy or Kundalini. Cognition is dependent on the suppression of spirit. An awakened spirit floods the body and obliterates the thought based ego. Meditation enhances the cognitive functions such as memory. Meditation does not awaken the spirit.

@@johnthom3342 This is precisely why walking up is different than growing up.
The Spirit might destroy the thought-based ego, but the mind still remains and so does the ego. Hence the patterns of the body/mind remain to some extent. These patterns/impressions can be both negative and positive.
A lot of awakened teachers who have not “grown up”, faced their shadow, either lose their satori or end up being slaves to their impression. Hence you see sexual abuse by these masters.
