I'm right there with you, but 20 years ahead!! I had a great ND in my 40s that put me on topical estrogen and progesterone. She suggested DHEA if I tolerated it. It seemingly miraculously alleviated my muscle tension symptoms (frozen shoulder when we tested me without the estrogen and progesterone). I say thank goodness for me, that I had this very progressive ND. I'm 68 now and with a new ND have tested my levels and boosted - my hormones for a healthy next 30 years...my mother lived to 103.
I am 47 plus 3 months and getting my 1st hormone panel labs on 10/18/24. I regret not demanding them last year at age 46. I must have started premenopause at 46 but discarded it because I had regular periods. Went irregular at age 47. No one told me, not doctors, not friends, no one!
Trying to learn from you, as I am dealing with some symptoms. Started with the thyroid supplement. Doctor said if energy is not better, in 90 days, will look at adding in estrogen. My testosterone wasn't bad 32. I've been at 0 before years ago. Just want to feel better going forward. I am post menopause.
Thank you for this, Dr Tyna! Went through menopause with my ND who did not encourage BHRT. I'm one of those who missed out totally. Now I have a different ND who tested me and put me on BHRT a month ago. I am 15 years post menopause, but it is helping with my joint pain. So bummed that I didn't start earlier, but I'm glad that I'm on it now. Do I have to get the topical estriol for my face as a prescription?
I was basically told at 39-40 I was silly there was no way I was in perimenopause, menopause etc. I’m 48 and this summer finally went back to GYN & was told I’m POST MENOPAUSAL. I was shocked hearing this. I did have an ablation in 2017 but was never told what to expect & really just thought I would be dealing with peri or menopause in my 50’s. 7 years later here I am. I thought I was going crazy and all of the symptoms except hot flashes. I’m in process of getting full blood work up & HRT.
What an interesting concept...using HRT before you think you actually need it. WOW what a change from the old days. I come from the days of the (1986) E patch prior to the women's study timeframe. Off everything for10 years and then back on again. Making up for lost time now.
I read in The Menopause book by Dr Mary Claire Haver that somewhere around 65 would be too late and would not be advisable. It all depends when your Menopause began.
Thank you for this very informative video. I am a 69 year old woman and unfortunately, one of those. That has waited too long to take estrogen. I have all the symptoms you were talking about arthritis from head to toe. With a side order of a peripheral neuropathy called charcot marie tooth, cmt. Hi blood pressure hi cholesterol and some inflammation in my heart. I had a total hysterectomy at thirty five and was on h r t for a few years., until we got the scary news that it would cause heart attacks and stroke and such.. I have been listening to a lot of your podcasts and videos. And was hoping that I could go back on estrogen. To see if I could get some relief. It looks like it's too late for me. But I do have 2 daughters. And i'm sure they're gonna get my bad genes, so I have passed this podcast onto them. Thank you for what you do and for sharing such brilliant medical advice.
My friend had endometrial cancer she told her hormones were never balanced during menopause. She never took hormones at all. Maybe she would have benefitted from HRT. Thank goodness she's in recovery now, doing well.
The decision to take hormones ruined my life. I was so focused on getting started early to maintain my good health. I worked hard to be the same weight and stayed at 128 or 132 at my fittest from highschool well into my mid 40’s. I have been fit my entire life. It wasn’t until I made the wrong decision to take HRT that my weight went up by 18 lbs gradually within 3 months. I haven’t been able to reverse it and been trying the past 2 years. I never took hormones not even birth control. I felt and looked my best prior to starting hormones. I regret it. I learned to not try to fix something that isn’t broken they hard way

You are part of that 20% whose intracrine system makes just enough estrogen etc at the tissue level so bo menopause symptoms. That is genetic. However it may not be enough to prevent the diseases of menopause ie osteoporosis, heart disease, dementia.
I had an amazing NMD who pulled me off work to get iron infusions never had an issue with scripts or labs and CA SDI refused to pay me for the whole time due to using a NMD. Yet wouldn’t tell me that u til my 9th week into my savings. I appealed it and they said sorry they don’t want you to Use anything naturopathic basically.
Thank you for your information. I am a 62 year old woman. Since the spring I have been on a low dose GLP-1 and finally starting to feel better. As far as hormones, I have long felt I needed help there but never could find any as far as a knowledgeable doctor or therapy so I have suffered. According to what you shared here it sounds like it is too late to get any hormone help.
Tyna, thank you for pointing out what the vasomotor symptoms mean. It's sort of like pregnancy can show you the future (diabetes), perimenopause symptoms I also suspected was a window into the future. I was terrified I was in early dementia. Brain came back online within a day of the patch. I also don't understand the women qho want to white knuckle it but I think they are in denial. The healthier you are going in the easier it is but I was not unhealthy, perimenopause made me unhealthy.
My ND is male, 67yrs and very against BHRT. He prescribes just DHEA for women and menopausal symptoms. Has anyone just done DHEA in capsule form and had success in symptoms like pain, sleep, dryness and mood/stress intolerability? Thank you!
I am 72 years old. Female who feels very healthy and fit. I do my best. Eating healthy and exercising. However, I did want to start bioidentical hormone replacement. Intercourse is very painful. i have a severe burning . So is it too late for me to correct that problem?
Started hrt in 6/2024 at loset dose then in Sept went up to next level and my Back pain that had me in anguish for a year has been relieved 90% I can do my normal gym schedule of 4 days instead of maybe 2.
After a partial hysterectomy I start feeling symptoms of perimenopause but when I did blood work all the doctors said I was within range and does not need any hrt… but then why am I feeling all those symptoms if my hormones are balance???
I am new to you I find you from mind pump tv and learn about that I could have be low in my hormones because I am holding weight around my belly that I have had this for a very long time even if my weight is normal but I have this belly
Does anyone who saunas everyday have issues with a patch estradiol? i am about to start and am not sure how it will interact with heavy sauna use. Thanks!
I was given covaryx. 0.625-1.25mg. I wanted your thoughts please. I am 65. I have ex my whole life. I have been a runner for 30 years up until 3 years ago do to severe back issues. Crps. Arthritis. I want to have less pain keep my muscle. What do you think of this. No cancer issues for me. I have severe inflammation. I really need your help.
I thought estrogen was supposed to fluctuate according to where you are in your cycle? Why do you recommend oral micronized progesterone after menopause? Are you saying estradiol is ineffective or dangerous if you are overweight?
I went to a hormone doc when I was around 40. It is very expensive. $1-2,000 a month for testing. Most people can’t swing it. Great theory….but highly impractical.
20 years ago I was in search of what was happening to me and was finally able to find find a great Doctor Who did blood test via insurance and then based on my symptoms as well as the results was able to put me on bioidentical hormones. The test were paid for by insurance, however the compounding Hormones are not and that is what comes out of pocket and that is what I have been paying for out-of-pocket for over 20 years and they’re not exactly inexpensive but they are truly life saving for me.

Got on the estrodial patch a month ago and in less than 24 hrs my body pain was almost gone. Feeling so much more stable and happy.
Thank you!! Those words don't seem enough. As a nearly 46yo, I have found you at exactly the right moment to vastly improve my life. That is huge.

Amazing episode Dr Tyna , as always
What age do you consider to be too late? I am 56 and so much of what you are saying resonates with me.
I read in The Menopause book by Dr Mary Claire Haver that somewhere around 65 would be too late and would not be advisable. It all depends when your Menopause began.
Starting end of this month! I can't wait!

When i started testerone 3 days later my frozen shoulder got better.
Great episode. Thanks! The age "gracefully" crowd is probably jealous of how great you look!
I’ve been in menopause for a while . Zero symptoms and no need for hormones. Period stopped one day and that was it. Feel the same

Maybe now but will catch up with you and you will u be regretful for not having bhrt on board😣
No uterus no progesterone? Is that right?

No not too late. Find an online doc if nobody local will help you

fabbbbbbbb video, thanks Tyna !
What is the estradiol cream you are using??
My ND is male, 67yrs and very against BHRT. He prescribes just DHEA for women and menopausal symptoms. Has anyone just done DHEA in capsule form and had success in symptoms like pain, sleep, dryness and mood/stress intolerability? Thank you!
How do you know if it’s too late for HRT. I am 57 and have been post menopausal since 50.
I am 72 years old. Female who feels very healthy and fit. I do my best. Eating healthy and exercising. However, I did want to start bioidentical hormone replacement. Intercourse is very painful. i have a severe burning . So is it too late for me to correct that problem?
What are your thoughts on HRT vs GLP-1? I'm 53, Menopausal and have gained weight doing all the right things. I don't know what to do first.
Started hrt in 6/2024 at loset dose then in Sept went up to next level and my Back pain that had me in anguish for a year has been relieved 90% I can do my normal gym schedule of 4 days instead of maybe 2.
Which estriol cream are you using for your face? You look fantastic!!
After a partial hysterectomy I start feeling symptoms of perimenopause but when I did blood work all the doctors said I was within range and does not need any hrt… but then why am I feeling all those symptoms if my hormones are balance???

What strength estriol are u using for your face?
Does anyone who saunas everyday have issues with a patch estradiol? i am about to start and am not sure how it will interact with heavy sauna use. Thanks!
It will leach out the meds faster if wet for prolonged times. Swimmers are advised to put a water proof bandaid covering patch. Do you get wet?
Cute hair layers🤗
What’s your opinion on testosterone pellets? Would you do them?
Thank you

My auntie who is 65. Wants to try Ozempic, thoughts? Shes overweight and wants to shed weight, she active, eats rigght
Love you ❤
Why is there a 4 year gap in your videos? Did you delete everything you said during Covid?
You tube deletes stuff
Oral progesterone causes candida to get worse. Give me the cream till I am 99
I will take care of the cats ! hahahaha

Going by symptoms is more accurate. Due to our monthly cycles, our progesterone and estrogen are continually changing daily.
20 years ago I was in search of what was happening to me and was finally able to find find a great Doctor Who did blood test via insurance and then based on my symptoms as well as the results was able to put me on bioidentical hormones. Was this without insurance and you were cash paying?
@@rosamoreno4794yes still am. Insurance doesn’t cover compounding.
@@rosamoreno4794 insurance would not cover….they considered it “elective”.
For me 47 + plandemic stress got me good ! hahahaha

i think some women might do better on estriol instead of estradiol ...your thoughts?
❤❤❤
preach! Or they talk about how women should never take testosterone...
