BRINE I was waiting on the dnf duel content! Game feels better imo, a lot more stable and organic without taking away the powerful feel of the characters. Seems like they took their sweet time to make the right changes and hopefully the player base will slowly come back to this much improved version of an already fun game.

A part of me agrees with y'all. I like playing the game but I find it's only fun to play in short bursts of a couple matches or so and I don't feel inclined to grind like I did with SFV. Someone else commented here that the game is boring and I think it's partly cuz the system was so linear and easy to pick up, but with the new combo routes, jump cancels and defensive improvements some of those complaints have been addressed. There are other issues but hopefully the upcoming dlc can help bring some folks back.

Picked up Grappler and Inquisitor after the buffs to compliment my Hitman. This patch is so good My favorite fighting game out in a while hands down🙏🏿🔥
Being a Vanguard main, seeing "Trash the Vanguard" make that many mistakes and panic supering followed by it whiffing actually triggers me. Vanguard is SUPER good now and has some insane new combos he could of took advantage of. Tbh if he did the optimal combo there followed by actually landing the super that should have been a clean KO. Also, amazing job putting that Swiftmaster in their place!
I’d agree with you regarding the buff comment but i knew for a fact Ghostblade wasnt getting a DP. They made teleport faster but still no invincible frames . So i guess.

I think what weirdly hurts this game is that... It's one of those games that is fun so long as you don't play it too much. When you are then depending on an online playerbase to keep it fun, that's a bit of an anti-synergy of design.
That not what hurt the game. Brian_F even made a video about the common issues of Fighting games, why the player base die off soo quick, and the solution to solve it like a year ago. One of the issue obviously it a new I.P. So it not as well known like the other fighting games that can use that for their Advantage. The second reason which is a common issue in many fighting games. Is their is no incentive to keep people from playing the game other then just being the best online. If their were more social features, single player content and modes then just one new characters every 5-6 month. This will have give casuals a reason to stick around longer. Seeing as exclusively catering towards the FGC/e-sport will only get your newer fighting game a month of support. You need to maintain your casual base as well. The only fighting game I see addressing that common issue as of late is SF6, which is really a shame.
If only they’d gave this game higher health values/less damage values, truly would’ve been great instead of mid. Only thing that ruins it is the nuke capability really. Hopefully they step back and listen to the community if they decide to entertain an idea such as this again.
Can someone explain why this game died so quickly? Like dbfz lasted a few years at least and seems to have the same business model as DNF duel. Is the game itself the issue?
@webadagrande Check Hubert for Berserker, Sonic Sol for Striker and Kizzie for Ghostblade depth. Brian F hasn't even gotten to the point where in awakening as Grappler you can cancel the red 5 MP into air command grab for mix and cancel it again using conversion if you want hi low full combo instead. Therefore that is depth. Guessing hi-low from conversion or mid air command grab from a move that you can choose to bait people with is depth. Just admit you don't lab the game. 😂

Truthfully it was the defensive options which r getting better but i think this game didnt last long cuz of the combo system. Dnf combos are too easy. People tried to compare it to bftg but it wasnt like it. The game look beautiful but its boring. Only fun with a friend that experienced in fighting games and that fun last for a week then u go back to sf and tekken

Yeah peak was 1000 when the patch release and now the game is sitting all the way down at 170 players , it’s dead sadly

For South America, that's for sure. You can buy GGST with all DLC for less than DNF Duel. They screwed up regional pricing big time.
