    brand new viewer, I enjoy both the vlogs and the straight up tutorials. Do what makes you happy, can't please everybody keep grinding and posting videos. I also have a tornado red MKV. Im jealous of the quality of the paint. Mine sat in the Arizona sun for a few years and it absolutely fried the clear coat on my car. Personally the best exhaust set up on these cars is a catless downpipe with the stock catback. Quiet when you baby it and can hear it when you get above 3k rpms. Just enough engine noise with no drone and doesn't overwhelm the noise of the turbo

      @RatchetWrenches  Год назад

      Thanks for watching! And damn yeah the sun will do that, but trust me ours isn’t the best either lol in person it’s pretty awful 😂. And interesting we actually just installed the ecs cat back in our latest video but definitely will be going catless for sure! Thanks for your input!

    This was well worth the wait thank you! Like the longer video style & the input from both of you working on the car - that is one job I would not want to try👏👏 Like you my Mk5 roof lining is sagging so looking forward to that video for some tips - although not sure I have your skills🤣🤣 Keep up the great work guys👏

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  Год назад

      Thank you for watching! And awesome yeah we’re going to try to do this style more often. But unfortunately the headliner sagging was so common on pretty much all the GTIs from that generation so we’ll try to make the video as simple to follow and hopefully you’ll be able to do it yourself!

    How on earth did you get that much coolant out from the connection to the auxiliary pump? I tried doing a coolant flush recently and only 1.2L comes out of that location (spec is 8L). I had to do the rest from the lower radiator outlet and thermostat housing.

    Hey guys enjoying the build ,this hits close to home, I have a mark 6 that im in the middle of trying to sort out on a budget.Same issues , some oil leaking , headliner I tore out but haven't done anything with yet, eventually I wanna pay someone to fix up a new one.I saw integrated engineering sells a stage 2 kit with some essentials and tune components.I feel your pain , trying to upgrade on a budget .I surf around on marketplace and craigslist for mods being sold off, you can find some deals.

      Id say it’s not worth it, a cam follower is around $15, even with changing oil every 3-5k miles you’d never get close to spending the 600 or so dollars for the conversion kit on replacing the standard cam follower.

    • @TinoR626
      @TinoR626 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@waldosauryou can get the conversion kits for under 200 now. At that price and that fact I'm doing a set of Schrick cams I figured it was worth it.
