Hey Sandra! Thanks to your videos I am now landing my first cyber security jobs! I've been struggling to land a cybersecurity job for the last two years. This past year I took a bootcamp course and became certified in December and was still struggling to land a job in the past 6 months. After watching this video back in June it helped prep me for a couple of the roles I have applied for. I now start my new job tomorrow!
I'm in the same situation like you in the past two years.I just finished some Comptia certifications, but i'm looking to more advanced certifcations to do. What is your course you did to get to certified ?
I know this video is from last year, but I just had my first cyber interview today as a new grad and it went perfectly thanks to this video! I made a google doc with notes about each topic she mentioned and reviewed that before my interview, it was so helpful and even the interviewers said they were impressed. Than you so much Sandra, you really helped my nerves and made me feel prepared! :)
Great content! I agree with everything you're pointing out. In my interview I was asked some of these but in addition I was asked Linux commands, bash scripting, simple python functions, and my knowledge of pentesting methodologies. Thank you for the video!!
Thanks so much for adding this Arturo!! :D Interviews for cyber security roles can be super broad so the most material topics studied beforehand the better! I'm sure you killed the interview 😁
I have my CySA+ and I've done an internship but this is such a great informative video for anyone that is trying to break into the security world. Thanks!
Thank you for the information... Thursday is my first security interview and I'm nervous lol but I'm going to study the information you gave thank you!
Wow this was very informative and motivated me to start preparing for a future job, since I'm in my final year of my computer security degree. Thank you for the detailed tips Sandra.
Love your videos Sandra! Thank you for putting them out there. You're really calm and pleasant to listen to and you've done a good job with the way you speak on each topic. Best wishes going forward!
Thank you so much Udhaya! Please let me know if you have any video topics that might be helpful for you as your get into cyber, appreciate your support!
Thanks for watching Craig! 😁 yeah it’s one of those topics that’re pretty simple surface level but all it takes is one link click and you might never even know there was an attack lol. Sad to say i’ve failed one of the fake phishing attacks my company sent out so now i’m always on alert with random emails lmao
I’m sure everyone has fallen victim to these attacks. Especially IT pro’s since proportionally they’re exposed to online use more than the average person. I’ve always thought we rely on email use too much sometimes and these things can happen. You’re a pro I’m sure you’ve already figured that out.
Thanks for watching oli! :) Glad it was helpful! I'm planning a few more interview prep/finding a job in cyber tipcs videos soon so look out for those as well! :D
Thank you for sharing! I'm actively applying to cybersecurity jobs with an IT degree and a cert in Security+. Now I'm considering taking a psychology class lol.

I graduated with a BS in cybersecurity in 2020 . I am 22 years old now, and I have still not been able to obtain a job in cybersecurity. I do well in interviews, I just simply don’t get hired. At this point I’m not sure what the problem is? I spend all my time learning more and more. Does anyone experience the same troubles?
Hi there, hope your doing well. I have an interview coming up for a Information security analyst role, I’m really worried about it as I don’t do well in interviews. Could I message you the question they have asked me to prepare for the interview? It would be a big help. Thanks.

My favourite acronym that stuck with me and helped with the OSI layers is: Please Do Not Teach Students Pointless Acronyms xD
I like "Please Do Not Throw Sausage Pizza Away"
I used the pepperoni pizza one when i took my security+ exam but adding the pointless acronyms one to my list 🤣🤣
