    Cool fishing video, Bro!
Those roys were pretty fish. But Bro, I don’t think I could eat one knowing they could carry a disease, lol.
That table boss fish should invest in some teeth.
You sounded like you were having a blast, Bro, and that’s totally awesome.
I’m a little behind on watching some videos so I got to catch up.
Take care, see you on the next one.
    🤙

Great day of fishing. I never have much luck out there. I caught a roi and a lai this morning. Last Friday was my big day. A personal best 15.6 pound Kagami Ulua! So stoked. Tight lines man. BTW, I wouldn't eat the roi, heard too many stories....Glad you and your wife are doing fine.

For the roi I was using medium heavy pole 40 pound braid for the main 80 pound mono for the leader about 5ft leader big wood floater and size 8 murato hook with a saddle wrasse for bait. Good luck out there lemme know how you do!

Nice vid again. Roi is delicious, but I don't think I'd try it again because of the high amounts of cig. Ulua has high amounts of cig too. Also, from someone that got bit by an eel, would not recommend. 😂🤙🏽 Nice table boss.

Nice catch! Which omilu gave you cig? Was it the one you used to make fish tacos or the monster you caught? I've never dared to try roi but they are supposed to be delicious. Yessah!

It was the big omilu I caught. Me and my wife both had symptoms. I had it way worse symptoms lasted around a month. I always wanted too try roi just to scared. Ive met people who eat them but still too scared of the cig.

@@thatjuanshow4485 Some say that the roi in the King's Landing area are safe. Maybe it's because the water down there is cold and fast-moving, so it's a less conducive environment for the algae that causes cig to grow. There is an interesting traditional method in Fiji where they test for cig by checking the tail meat. If the tail meat is white, then it's safe, if it is dark purple, then it has cig. Those who eat roi in Hilo say that you should eat the smaller ones, and never eat the head or guts. Stay safe and look forward to your next vid!

Its too bad most of these are Hot with cigutera. Supposedly - in there native habitat they are highly esteemed tablefare.
Never ate one. Not worth the risk I suppose (i will eat smaller kakuku, and kawelele'a... but Roi? Nah... bad rap)
Wish there was a test that actually worked.
