Love your vids Hawaiian! I just started to use my 13’ nitro and penn squall 30 conventional-Hard to find good kine high cliffy places-like the 1st spot u was at--here on Oahu-the kine u can drive right up to…also I seen how the nenues got off-or was eaten off!! U might wanna try using some fishing zip ties-fairly cheap and totally worth it-I think I use em in one of my vids with a hinalea I threw out-cuz I think the fish meat gets all kakio over time and enough so that the fish can swim off the barb…love the way you do a time line documenting when u threw out and when u retrieved-peeps get a false sense that fishing is fast and easy sometimes when edited down to a 15 minute vid but we both know it takes waaaayy longer to get action sometimes 🤣Good luck youngin--looking forward to future content…Aloha 🤙🏽🤙🏽
@@justfishhawaii923 no problem my Bruddah-us Lawai’a gotta help mana’o when can..I seen the vid how the Ulua huntaz do with the rubbah bands too--that’s a lot of wrapping and twisting gotta do for me though the fish zip tie easier imo-it comes with a sharp edge to poke thru the fish and a tab where you put your hook thru to keep the fish on the zip--I went dunking out koolina yesterday and experimented with a rainbow wrasse zip tied to a circle hook and had a 1 inch circle float tied about 4 inches from the hook-and I filmed it with my fishcam--the buggah kept the RW alive and it couldn’t swim down to hide in the rocks-I’ll be putting that video out when I pau edit em…yeah bro u got the storytelling factor in your vids-I dig that-I learning from you Bruddah and I’m probly twice your age 🤣 keep doing what you doing…Aloha 🤙🏽
Using mono is good but i personally prefer braid because you get a bunch more line to get spooled and it thinner so you could cast farther. 65lb or 80 would be good for braid. But definitely doable to catch some uluas if you play it right.
Next time braddah use rubber band the small one put like 3 or for to hold the hook in place they kan wiggle but not coming off 🤙🏾🤙🏾 yessa keep it up . Aloha
take a look at balllon fishing same idea but u can get a biodegradable ballon to use and drift a bait out with the wind or do small casts with. Its not as bulks as jugs.. Bro get wire leader these sharks be trolling you.
Check your baits every hour and palu the water. 🤙🏽

The young man is back! Hope you make more videos now that it's summer time!
😂 Yes I will
What's the furthest you ever had an "ulua" run? I can get 240 yards of 50# mono on my Daiwa Saltist 50. Is that enough for decently big GTs?

Try rubberbanding the live fish on or get a lie bait needle and sew it threw the eye socket and tie to the hook
Where is that place? 1:35 i wanna go fishing on that exact spot
Go ahead it's by the commercial pier. It's pretty scary fishing by yourself tho lol.
I just moved to kauai bro, I've been watching your vids and their dope ! Lmk if you would be down to do a video together fishing

U gotta rubber band those. Gurans jus swam off. A cheaper way is cut s water bottle in cm squares and poke um on after the fish. Aloha
